After last week’s selections Emre Can and Dele Alli came through in spectacular fashion in Gameweek 14, we’ve turned to another two midfielders, along with a potential bargain in attack, ahead of this morning’s deadline.

Divock Origi

A four-match suspension for Man City’s Sergio Aguero and a shoulder injury for Southampton’s Charlie Austin means plenty of Fantasy managers seeking out a new forward this week, and Liverpool’s Divock Origi is perhaps someone who we shouldn’t be overlooking.

The Belgian has scored three goals in as many matches in all competitions, and with Daniel Sturridge appearing to be some way off a first-team return due to a calf injury, he looks to have secured a starting spot for the time being.

Origi is available at just 6.6 in FPL, and tomorrow faces a West Ham United side that has conceded 10 goals in their last four matches.

The Hammers have also allowed 11 big chances over that period, second to only Swansea City, with 12, so Origi looks to have the ideal fixture in which to continue his good form.

Jurgen Klopp’s side also face a decent run of fixtures (mid, eve, STO) over the coming period that could see Origi should be able to provide excellent value.

The Liverpool forward is only owned by 3.3% of FPL bosses, and given the Reds have scored more goals (35) than any other team this season, he looks worth backing for those that are looking for a short-term fix in attack.

Sadio Mane’s departure for the Africa Cup of Nations also raises hopes that the Belgian may be able to cement a role over January, particularly if Philippe Coutinho fails to recover from an ankle problem over the next few weeks.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan

After taking time to adapt to the English game, Man United’s Henrikh Mkhitaryan has worked his way into Jose Mourinho’s starting XI over the past few weeks, raising hopes that he may finally emerge as a viable option for us to consider.

The Armenian claimed two assists in the 4-1 win over West Ham United in the EFL Cup at the end of last month, and opened his account for his new club with a composed finish in Thursday night’s 2-0 win against Zorya Luhansk in the Europa League.

Mkhitaryan now looks likely to keep his starting berth against Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow, before United’s schedule (cpl, wba, SUN, MID, whm) really opens up over the next few matches.

The summer signing has seen his price in FPL drop from 9.5 at the start of the season to 8.9, which should make it easier for us to find a spot for him in our five-man midfields.

His arrival at Old Trafford was greeted with much anticipation given he totalled 11 goals and 20 assists in just 31 league appearances for Borussia Dortmund last season, so with his confidence appearing on the rise, Mkhitaryan certainly looks a player who could be worth taking a gamble on if you’re looking for a outlandish but high-impact differential.

He’s currently sitting in just 1.7% of FPL squads and, while tomorrow’s match-up may not be the most favourable, he looks to have the fixtures to flourish over the remainder of this month.

Yaya Toure

Given that he was ineligible to face Celtic in the Champions League in midweek, we’re hopeful that Man City’s Yaya Toure will be named in Pep Guardiola’s starting XI for today’s late kick-off against Leicester City.

Over the last three Gameweeks, the Ivorian is ranked joint-third among midfielders for shots inside the box and, available at just 7.6 in Fantasy Premier League (FPL), could profit against a Leicester side that have conceded eight goals in their last four league matches.

The Foxes are also coming off a 5-0 defeat to Porto in the Champions League, although they did rest many of their regular starters.

Toure is only owned by 1.7% of FPL managers, and with Sergio Aguero suspended for the next four matches, Pep Guardiola will be looking to his midfield to help ease the burden on the Argentine’s likely replacement Kelechi Iheanacho.

The brace Toure managed on his comeback against Crystal Palace illustrated he still has the ability to deliver at the highest level, and with City also facing Watford and Hull City in the next four, the 33-year-old could prove to be a intriguing differential.

The only issue is rotation, with Guardiola having a plethora of options to choose from in midfield, although he will be without the suspended Fernandinho for the next three matches.

Investing in Toure does carry a risk, then, but having scored 37 goals and registered 14 assists over the past three seasons, there’s no doubting his pedigree.

As we’ve witnessed in seasons past, the absence of Aguero may even see the Ivorian temporarily handed spot-kick duties until the Argentine returns on New Year’s Eve.

    Sanchez vs Hazard
Both has good fixture but I think that Alexis has better form plus he plays up front so that's makes him better (C) material imo.

Playing bench fodder vs Nacho for -4
This is a game and you want to have fun so what's more fun? Watching City with Nacho or hoping for De roon to score/Amat CS etc? Plus what would make you more mad if Iheanacho scores brace and you don't own him or blank when you get him?

West brom have been solid on their travels, Sanchez from those 2

But - West Brom are probably missing their main center back (McAuley), they haven't kept many clean sheets away and Mike Dean is refereeing the match/he loves giving penalties/Hazard is on penalties :-D.

        I'm going with Hazard.

      Alternative theory...

Alexis plays up front doesn't guarantee points, especially at home. Hazard loves playing at home.

I'd be more mad to bring in a player who does sod all, then I have to remove again knowing he's just a fill in.

you don't have to remove him after this game as he has nice fixtures. When Kun is back 2FT and you are fine.

yeah can see it being a 1-1

Eriksen could easily be the one who scores the only goal or something

West Ham on the other hand are so bad though..

You're right about Eriksen, he could be the one to dink in a free kick in a tight game, but Can and Anichebe (I think) have decent attacking stats over the last few game weeks and they're playing dreadful teams.

I was considering bringing in Eriksen for Allen for -4 this week but most here advised me to wait until after this game week. Which shows you not much is expected from him at Old Trafford.

yeah he isn't worth bringing in for a hit this week

Can's run is a bit like Capoue/Allen though, I'm gonna back him to keep going

    Pickford (Grant)
Alonso Cedric Brunt (Van Dijk Amat)
    Fer San(c)hez Hazard KDB Can
    Defoe Kane (Anichebe)

No Costa is a worry and KDB is sort of a punt. So...

    A) Defoe to Nacho to solidify
    B) KDB -> Zaha or Phillips + Costa and Nacho

    Thoughts please?

Could someone please help me with a very boring question? I've decided not to take a hit to remove Austin and need to play either:

    A. Marney
    B. Amat

    Which should I play?

      A

Sorry it's a boring answer. Both are going to score 2 or less in my view.
I'd go for Amat and hope for a set piece goal.

Fancy Anichebe to smash that fragile Swans defence

Should i play Amat home to Sunderland and pray or back my gut and take a -4 Austin -> Anichebe.

    hmmm

take the hit, you might as well, you're just putting it off a week anyway.
Imagine the elation you'll feel when he scores...!

      -4 Austin -> Anichebe

Could work... then again they said Jimmy Saville was a kind old man who gave out badges to children.

      Do the switch. No question.

It will probably pay off this week but even if not it buys you an extra FT. And it will open up great options for future transfers.

So many things going for Haz cap:
Assured minutes, no fatigue, pens, Mike Dean, form, home game, etc.

Still can't seem to change from Sanch even though:
Might get subbed later on, played midweek, Stoke 2cs back to back so confidence high..

I should change right? Hah this wouldn't be such a big deal if i hadn't plummeted from the top of Ml and OR past five weeks.

theres really no clear option this week. If you're stuck on Haz, I wouldn't change, you'll only kick yourself.
go and have some breakfast and ignore everything until 11:31 😛 Thats what i'm doing with my Costa (c)!

DGW occur when cup game (FA cup and EFL cup) play in weekend instead of premier league game. Those game (which is involved) will be postponed and they have double game week. (They play in midweek)
Don't confuse with coming midweek in December with DGW
          They are different

We won't get any until after the League Cup final unless we have weather postponements. Definitely keep your TC and BB for the DGW's as they will shoot you up the rankings if played correctly.

Yeah I got all 3 still as been waiting for a chance to play them this year, will keep holding onto them then

AOA is the least useful and I'm only going to use it if I'm down to 2 playing defenders one GW. The other 2 can be amazing for the DGW's. Good to keep your second WC to set up your team for the DGW BB as well. Good luck.

Mhykitatian will be so nice if he starts this weekend and keeps his starting spot. Im going to try and shoe horn him in for either Siggy or Snodgrass.

    Need help.

Already did Lukaku --> Costa, so I have no FT.

What should I do with this team?

    Grant - Foster
    Cedric - Walker - Lovren - Amat - Holebas
    Siggy - Snodgrass - Firmino - Sanchez - Capoue
    Rondon - Costa - Aguero

    Should I do?
    A. Aguero --> Ibra (-4)
    B. Aguero --> Kane (-4)
    C. Nothing

    Thanks!
