Just three days after the previous Gameweek kicked off, we brace ourselves for another round of December fixtures.

As usual, our pre-Gameweek article for members offers an assessment of the main Captain Poll contenders.

Following that, we then check out the Opta numbers and Rate My Team rankings before considering a differential or two to help advise on your armband conundrum ahead of this evening’s 6.45 deadline.

The Captain Poll

Harry Kane is the runaway leader in our Gameweek 16 Captain Poll as Tottenham Hotspur prepare for the visit of Hull City tomorrow evening.

Selected by 46% of voters, the Spurs frontman has netted twice in each of his last two home appearances since a return from injury – he faces a defence that have failed to keep out their opponents since Gameweek 2.

With Kane such a popular pick, his team-mate Christian Eriksen is selected by only 2%.

The Dane has racked up three goals and an assist in the last three Gameweeks, serving up an 18-point haul in his previous home appearance against Swansea City.

Diego Costa’s consistent form has persuaded 15% of the voters as Chelsea make their way to Sunderland.

The Spain international has produced a goal or assist in seven of the Blues’ seven road trips, whereas Eden Hazard has delivered on just three of those occasions.

With just one goal in the last four Gameweeks, only 3% are willing to back the Belgian.

Somewhat surprisingly, Alexis Sanchez earns a mere 9% of the votes for Arsenal’s trip to Everton. The Chilean is seeking a fifth double-figure away haul against a defence that’s without a clean sheet in 11 attempts.

Dimitri Payet and Michail Antonio offer real differential options as West Ham entertain a Burnley side that’s conceded 15 times in six away matches.

Payet’s free-kick at Liverpool on Sunday means he has produced points in each of the last three Gameweeks, while Antonio has bagged two goals and an assist in his previous four.

Liverpool’s in-form pair Sadio Mane and Divock Origi earn just 1% backing for a trip to Middlesbrough.

The former has a goal and four assists in three, though, while Origi has netted in each of his last four in all competitions.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is another overlooked option. Despite netting four times in his last four league outings, the United striker has persuaded just 1% of voters as he travels to a Palace side with a single clean sheet all season.

Paul Is certain he won't make the same mistakes next season. Follow them on Twitter

    Couple of quick questions

    1) start heaton (whm) or grant (SOT)

    2) who to bench from smith (LEI), mcauly (SWA), pieters (SOT), naylor (wba)

I was leaning towards benching grant and naylor. Don't wanna double up on stoke hence starting heaton even tho Burnley are crap away. Also start pieters ahead of grant even though Southampton are more attacking.

    Mandanda to Rudolph for -4?

Normally, I wouldnt take a hit for a GK...

However, my reserve GK is Pickford - at Chelsea....
