Gameweek 18 comes to its conclusion this Wednesday evening as Southampton welcome Tottenham Hotspur to St Mary’s.

Claude Puel’s men seek a fourth successive clean sheet in front of their own supporters, with ever-present Virgil van Dijk (13% ownership) the most popular Saints player by some distance in Fantasy Premier League.

After netting twice in the 3-1 win at Bournemouth, Jay Rodriguez retains his role up front and is afforded another chance to play his way into our plans ahead of some fine upcoming fixtures.

Back-to-back home blanks against Hull and Burnley persuaded many to part company with Harry Kane last time out – the Spurs frontman was second only to Diego Costa for transfers out in Gameweek 18. Nonetheless, a big performance could have a big effect in the FPL standings – Kane is the sixth most captained player for this round of fixtures.

His Tottenham team-mate Christian Eriksen also earned significant sales after failing to deliver points against the Clarets, yet both have the underlying numbers to punish those who chose to look elsewhere.

At risk of sounding foolish as an Ibra owner I'm not sure about (c) this week.

Boro very tight defensively against big boys away.

        Karanka knows Mou inside out

I'd go Coleman, Baines has pks but not sure he's gonna play even this week. I don't remember the last time he played 3 games in a week. Had him earlier this season when he got injured. He somehow misses the game injured without his coach even telling it on the presser and stays injured for a month, won't go there again. It happened last year, too.

      So Coleman for me.

Both Alli and Lallana are good options. Still, be careful with Liverpool's upcoming fixtures. Also consider Antonio as replacement for Payet - the best option imo (+ yoo save cash)

    zaha is going to Afcon
he is not an option for next 5-6 weeks
plus boro defence is very good away from home against top teams and they have shown that
and Sanchez was a good captaincy option last week

    Courtois
    Clyne/Ward(Burnley)/Rose
    Zaha/Hazard/Lallana/Sanchez/Erikson
    Ibra/Origi

    Subs: Forster/Anichebe/Ake/Kingsley

Guys this squad is fine for GW 19

Anyone looking at bringing a Palace player in for those fixtures?

I'm even considering Townsend with Zaha off to the AFCON.

Yes mate, I have some similar thoughts. ALso considering Flamini and McArhur as potentioal options to replace Nemanja Matic (as he is currently blocking 3rd Chelsea spot in my team)

Is Amat likely to start? I have Pieters waiting on the bench which isn't good as he is away to Chelsea. So thinking of taking a hit to get McAuley in

Any suggestions what to do here - save FT? I have £0.4m ITB

    Foster (Jaku)
    McAuley Jones Alonso (Walker) (Smith)
    Sanchez Hazard Payet Philips Capoue
    Ibra(C) Costa (Grabbon)

I'm currently planning to get rid of Payet in GW 20 to free up some funds...

    Thanks!

Shipping Siggy after this GW. The best option:
    a) Antonio

    d) Wally

Would say B if you don't have Liverpool cover, even though fixtures aren't good or Wally if he's not injured because of their great fixtures.

GTG? Or any changes/transfers anyone would make? 0.2 ITB and 1 FT. Siggy stays for one, maybe two more game weeks...

    Foster
    Jones McAuley Alonso
    Haz Sanchez Siggy Eriksen
    Costa Ibra Anichebe

    Sub: Pickford, Allen, Amat, Pieters

Was thinking maybe McAuley -> Brunt for the upcoming WBA fixtures but perhaps too sideways and a waste of an FT.

on paper Bournemouth poor away from home so some points.
in reality Swansea are rubbish so probably best chance of points is a Siggy freekick goal.

I had a 2 point lead in the FPL cup with no Spurs or Southampton players remaining. Opponent had Kyle Walker left.

Our teams had both scored the same number of goals and conceded the same number of goals. I was very fortunate to proceed after Walker's 1 point display!

Now, my opponent in round 2 is a ghost team. He captained Ibrahimovic, but the rest of his team contains the likes of Vardy (banned), Alderwiereld (possibly injured), Drinkwater, and no available subs.

Should I captain Ibrahimovic as well to match him, as I am fairly confident that the rest of my squad will outscore his.

Currently have the armband on Sanchez.
