This afternoon we reveal the names of the competitors who won their seventh round ties to earn a place in Gameweek 21’s quarter-final stage of our open to all Fantasy Premier League cup competition.

A reminder that, for this contest there are more than £1,000 worth of prizes for UK based entrants courtesy of our partner FanDuel, as well as £350 in Amazon vouchers to the top three managers at the end of the competition.

The competition’s highest placed manager Bashvilla, who is placed 9,708 in the world, will face Hazardous Blue, after seeing off Real Sociopath 47 – 39 in the last 16 round, which took place in Gameweek 19.

Hazardousblue is ranked just under 50,000 places below the competition favourite and prevailed over Lowlifegimpe 57 to 43 in round seven.

The second highest placed manager, 14,654 ranked Moin, squares up to malvernangells, who is just 2,000 places behind him following Gameweek 19’s fixtures.

Our other quarter-finals see Back on the Horse take on David Brains. The former will be the favourite with a rank of 18,929 compared to his opponent’s placing of 69,806.

Finally, the contest’s lowest ranked manager, 306,421 placed Urchin, has a tough encounter with a A Manager Has No Name, who sits in the top 40,000 following his Gameweek 19 victory over jacknap.

The manager to win the highest score prize in the last sixteen, claiming £30 credit from FanDuel, is David Brains who scored 60 points in his defeat of Big Phil Soccer Team.

The managers to earn a £10 FanDuel credit for the next highest scores were: Hazardous Blue, A Manager Has No Name, Urchin and jacknap.

The last 16 results can be found via this link, while the full quarter-finals draw can be found via this link.

Good luck to those still involved and if you would like more information on the schedule and prizes here.

Do we know severity of Walcott injury please? I have exact funds for Zaha > Walcott and want to hit button before Zaha drops as he heads to AFCON. But worried Walcott could be out mid/long-term… can't find any definitive info. Thanks!

    Any suggestions for my team?

I'm thinking of getting rid of Siggy and also getting a Man U mid after the Liverpool game

Maybe Siggy Eriksen Holebas -> Walcott Pogba Ake over 2 weeks

    Heaton
    Alonso Holebas Pieters
    Sanchez Hazard Eriksen Siggy
    Ibra Costa Rondon

    Pickford de Roon Jones Amat

    2FT and 0.6m itb

Could you squeeze in defoe for rondon, if not, good picks depending on the severity of Walcott's injury, however Eriksen could burn you.

I'm doing Eriksen to Coutinho when he's back and looking good.
Siggy to Philips seems popular here.
      Holebas to Baines maybe?

Liverpool can score against any team in the league as well as conceding.
In transfer pecking order, Coutinho first(if pressers and news look positive).
Next gw, both Siggy and Holebas to Philips and Baines. Their fixtures and forms are just too good to be ignore.

I wish GWRs took into account hits, then you could reasonably aim for a certain average GWR like this

After looking at all the forward options I just don't think I want Kun in my team at the minute. Ignoring the inconsistent form and Pep rotation he just doesn't seem worth the money.

Kane has missed 5 GWs due to injury vs Kun's 6 through suspension and has scored 3 more points, still to play tomorrow and is 1.9m cheaper.

Ibra has missed 1 GW, 1m cheaper and is currently out scored him by 40. He and Kane are both capable of brace or hatrick too.

Costa & Defoe offer even better value, both nailed and no risk of being rotated.

Sorry Kun, there's just no room for you!

    Current team:

    Heaton (Jaku)
    Jones Alderweireld Alonso (Ake Amat)
    Eriksen Phillips Pogba Lallana Sanchez
    Ibra Kun (Anichebe)

    1FT 0.4ITB

Transfer Eriksen and Anichebe out for Defoe and a 4.4 mid and switch to 3-4-3 for -4? This leaves me also with 1.4ITB so I can upgrade a midfielder later if I want to. Thoughts?

Walcott definitely should be fit for next GW which is ages away, might play in the FA Cup game for minutes.

Does it make sense to do transfers now, and gain on possible price rises - or wait for the EFL/FA cup ties to get over to get a better view on possible rotation/injuries (but miss out on prospective swaps due to the rises/drops?)

I have a set of swaps in mind, but not sure if i should pull the trigger or wait and watch...

    How's this wildcard team?

    Foster, Randolph
    Alonso, Baines, Brunt, Ake, Pieters
    Sanchez, Eriksen, Lallana, Phillips, Snodgrass
    Ibra, Costa, Defoe

    Randolph covers Foster's tough fixtures weeks 21, 29, 30,33 & 34.
Alonso and Baines play every game. Brunt plays in the majority of others with great cover from Ake and Pieters as a playing 3rd sub.
Sanchez will be captain most weeks, strong first sub in Snodgrass or occasionally Phillips.
The front line picks itself with more than able captaincy options when Sanchez has a tough fixture.

    Foster, Heaton
    Bellerin,Baines, McAuley, Peiters, Holabas
    Sanchez, Hazard, Siggy, Rodriguez, Philips
    Lukaku, Ibra, Tekkers

    0.4 in the bank

    thinking
    a) Siggy -> Snodgrass

One to monitor but too early to punt on. Good opportunity to scout him tonight.

Jones should be nailed long term right? £4.9 for a United defender that plays every game is crazily good

Plays every game, until he needs a rest, or gets injured, or gets dropped

I own him 😉 Fully expecting to be short-medium term, but price is too good.

price is indeed very good plus united not conceded more than 1 since 0-4 v Chelsea way back when

Yeah , was a big toss up , value over Valencia, So far Jones wins.
That tap in for Valencia yesterday would have changed that though. Small margins

Nailed on during ACON, it seems. But even then the transfer window being open is a worry.

Can anyone recommend a sub-4.2m defender who might actually play?

Amat is the obvious choice, but who knows with the next manager, Love looks okay... But maybe you know somebody else?

Agree. If Koeman plays a back three regularly he should be in.

There's basically no-one. I think Amat is probably the safest and he's not even safe (not to mention their terrible form & now fixtures). Let's see who lines up tonight for Swans.

Was considering Cabaye . Not anymore. BFS will revert to type. Defence over attack
