After ending Chelsea’s winning run by netting both Spurs’ goals in a 2-0 victory at the Lane, Dele Alli is the hottest property around in Fantasy Premier League right now.

Subject to a massive 303,000+ acquisitions since the previous deadline passed, the midfield starlet has netted twice in each of his last three appearances, as Mauricio Pochettino’s men prepare for a kind run of fixtures.

Spurs face West Brom, Sunderland, Middlesbrough and Stoke City in their next six Gameweeks.

Alli’s headline-hogging surge to third in the FPL midfield standings has somewhat overshadowed the form of team-mate Christian Eriksen, who has been acquired by 57,000+ managers ahead of Saturday’s home clash with the Baggies.

Priced at 8.5 and 8.6 respectively, this latest article for members will assess the midfield duo’s recent displays since striker Harry Kane’s return to action from an ankle problem.

Factoring in injuries to both Kane and Alli, we will focus our attentions from Gameweek 13 onwards – essentially, the first time that the pair, along with Eriksen, had appeared in Pochettino’s starting line-up since a 4-0 win at Stoke City back in Gameweek 4.

In terms of FPL output during that spell, the two midfield options have been remarkably similar, with Eriksen just edging it by 74 points to 72.

Alli has been slightly more consistent, delivering a goal on six of those eight occasions to Eriksen’s five, though the Dane has proven the more explosive.

Whereas Alli has managed 10+ points on three occasions, Eriksen has achieved this five times – essentially, every time he’s produced attacking returns in this window.

Hi everyone. Want to share some thoughts and listen to your opinion on below

    1) Any reason to prefer 3-4-3 to 3-5-2 this season? Seems like midfielders this season are more efficiant in terms of cost/benefit. Foe example, you cannot find forward of consistency of Phillips or Snoddy for that price.

    2) Arsenal with Alexis up front played better. Ozil and Walcott is back. If Wenger decide not to drop Giroud immediately, is there possibility for Walcott-Ozil-Alexis-Giroud front four? I know that Arsen have not used this formation this season, but Giroud was out of form before.

Giroud seems to be safe for the next game atleast.
Nothing is certain right now. Depends if Arsenal are getting the results or no.

      1) Arguments for both bit 3-5-2 seems very profitable this season.

      2) Someone said they'd never played those front 4 before which I find it hard to believe. Top and bottom of it is giroud plays whilst he's scoring. It's when he stops that things will get changed round and Sanchez likely put back up top.

Sanchez up front last year was tried and failed. Giroud has a habit of scoring with limited minutes. Arsenal have played majority 4231 for ages. Most common positions for the 4 in question is Sanchez AML Ozil AMC Walcott AMR and Giroud Striker

Yeah that was his question, my question in response is-why do you have him in the first place?
He's been scoring of late for sure, but unless wenger says he's the starting striker, shouldn't we assume Alexis up top?

Looks like the Cup Draw didn't give us much excitement. Possibly Soton v Arsenal (sorry Norwich fans) looks the pick of the bunch. Nor any immediate indication of more GW28 matches. Thanks Michael Owen. Although I do fancy my chances of getting a ticket to the Oxford or Wycombe matches.

He handed Sunderland a kind draw but we prob won't win the replay so it's irrelevant.

Southampton are rubbish at present, Norwich have a chance.

Certainly not a slam-dunk for the Saints - and they do have the League Cup semis to think about too.

Awful choice but should I play Emre Can (mun) or deRoon (wat)?

deRoon looked slightly dangerous last time I saw him play.

You should take a hit for someone better. If you're not then yeah play de roon.

Kane. Don't fancy Sanchez on the wing too much.

Best 6.6 striker except for Origi?

No one really. Rondon but think he's 6.7m. Better off getting Barnes and going 3-5-2 unless you find funds to go up to defoe.

All strikers below Defoe aren't worth it. I'm benching Origi this week and getting rid of him for Barnes and going 352 next week

Hammers back in for Batshuayi apparently.

Having offered £31 million in the Summer for him I fully expect them to bid £3.1 million now.

He is their first choice target this window with defoe 2nd choice and all but dead. Hogans knee is causing concern when it comes to paying up 15mil. Cant see west ham getting him unless Swansea get someone upfront, allowing Llorente to go to Swansea

They wont even pay £3.1m for Batshuayi they want him on loan
They must be pooing in there pants at the thought of Swansea getting him

      1. Somalion
        • 16 Years
        9 years, 16 days ago

Yeah, the issue really is that Swansea will play him every match (good experience) and it helps get Llorente in for Chelsea. West Ham taking him on loan doesn't guarantee him starts every game, plus it doesn't help Chelsea as much.
