Tuesday treats us to no less than seven Premier League fixtures as Gameweek 23 gets up and running.

Arsenal’s home encounter with Watford has earned Alexis Sanchez the top spot in our Captain Poll yet again, with the Chilean bagging a goal or assist in nine of the last ten Gameweeks.

Spurs make their way to Wearside with Harry Kane, Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen all in fine form.

We’ve handed the latter two places in this week’s Scout Picks with the Black Cats hampered by injuries and suspension as they attempt to clamber out of the basement.

Kane, meanwhile, bagged third in our Captain Poll on the back of six goals and two assists in five.

We’re keeping a keen eye on mid-price midfielders Junior Stanislas and Matt Phillips ahead of clashes against Palace and Middlesbrough.

Both are in form and, crucially, have fixtures in Gameweek 26 and 28 – at present, Bournemouth and West Brom are two of only six sides guaranteed to feature on both occasions.

The same applies to Swansea pair Gylfi Sigurdsson and Fernando Llorente as Southampton roll up to the Liberty Stadium. Both were amongst the goals in the Gameweek 22 win at Anfield – their second victory in three since the departure of Bob Bradley.

Burnley’s Andre Gray is also a man in form – indeed, with five goals in as many matches prior to Leicester’s visit to Turf Moor, he earned a rare place in the Scout Picks.

All six of those matches get underway at 7.45pm, leaving Liverpool and Chelsea to play out the Tuesday fixtures in the 8pm kick-off.

Roberto Firmino bagged a brace in his previous Anfield appearance and could be key as the Reds attempt to avoid a fourth straight home loss in all competitions.

With a goal or assist in 16 of his 20 top-flight outings this term, Diego Costa was the most transferred in forward for the Gameweek at a time where the Eden Hazard exodus continues at pace, with over 122,000 FPL managers parting company with the Belgian ahead of tonight’s deadline.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

mmmm since he started out at £6.0m it's hard to see £6.5 as value. Would still spend the extra to get Alonso

What an anti climax this GW has been. My only point scorer is Iwobi so far.

Would you keep him for che, HUL? Or move him on this week to a Mirallas/Snoddy?

Sadly he needs to go. Wenger will rotate Giroud, Walcott, Perez, Iwobi and Welbeck. Am I deluded to think that Alexis and Özil are safe?

I'd be tempted to do kos to brunt and gir to lukaku.
Giving you more players for 26 & 28 as arsenal likely have 2 blanks and I don't fancy anyone below girouds price at all.

    Palace of Points or not??

Crystal Palace players could prove very good value from now on.Team looks very exciting atm and fixtures are good too.

So Which players are you looking from Them and Why?

    -S.Dann (Set piece threat)
    -PVA (Certainly the most Exciting)
    -J.Schlupp ( OOP)
    -Sakho (Cheap way into defence)
-Zaha (having a very good season)
-Benteke (Scores goals - good price)

...aaaaaaaaaand the BFS defence effect. Doesn't help Zaha and Benteke, but does make me look at the defence that didn't interest me at all when Pardew was there.

And PVA already was a good FPL asset at Sunderland that is practically a Championship side.

After one win against an awful Bournemouth team.......no thanks. I'd much rather invest in Everton, wba and wh for the possible gw28 debacle. If palace string a few results together then maybe I'll reasses but has there ever been a good midfield or striking prospect under big Sam? I'd be taking the cheapest nailed palace defender (or pva if he's playing advanced) but def not benteke or Zara at the moment thanks

Appreciate it's along way off, and things can change a plenty, but how would this look for GW28 (available for one hit):

    Foster
    Baines - Coleman - McAuley - Naughton - Robertson/Daniels

    Lukaku - Carroll/Llorente

Heaton - Sanchez - Costa - Eriksen (who could become Antonio/Snodgrass for an extra hit)

Baines (HUL) - Coleman (HUL) - Alonso (sto)
Sanchez (wba) - Eriksen (SOT) - Siggy (bou) - Carroll (bou)
Costa (sto) - Lukaku (HUL) - Carroll (LEI)

Giving me Baines,Coleman,Brunt,Daniels,Pieters/Rose at the back.

              Phillips,Carroll,Stanislas
              Lukaku

              Grant,Ibra,Sanchez,Alli

To make 11 I would have to look at moving Pieters/Rose and Kane.

This is a crucial question, for some while I've been targeting Hull, Swans and Sunderland as the optimal fixtures, and if Hull and Swans improve picking the easy fixtures is that much harder. Still wait and see though, for me.

I think Hull mostly did now what they should have done already last summer when they came up and retained what was clearly a Championship side, but it's harder to make things work when you get your players in middle of the season. The rot at Swans is probably deeper than this and they've been crap with a good squad and manager before.

If Hull and Swans really improve, then the whipping boys will probably be the other awful sides that didn't get as good reinforcements.

But I don't think Palace is a one. They were never nearly as bad as their results.

Meanwhile, Burnley have got really lucky with their results, and could be the whipping boys for now - but they did strengthen the midfield with some decent players and have significantly improved recently, so I wouldn't put my money on them.

Sunderland have been awful may have arguably got even worse, losing one of their best attacking threats in PVA, and this might finally be the season when they get the must deserved relegation. They're definitely my bet to go down, and my whipping boys atm.

Bournemouth's recent form is bad and they didn't strengthen at all, got a bit worse as Aké left and he will be missed. But they are also a well built team and definitely much better than Burnley and Sunderland and I expect them to finish safely above both, barring tough luck with injuries.

Without the thing of BOU having a game in the blanks yes he'd be going. As it is i will stick

For the price, who could you replace him with? I think he represents great value. On pens, set pieces and in an attacking tea. All for 5.3m

Agreed. Not ideal as it has been the same for the last 3 but again, for the money, who do you get in? I'd look at Zaha but come GW29 he will be much more than his current 5.5m. Stanislas is still get 2 points a game and so would whoever you replaced him with. At least Stanislas has the chance of a pen etc. too.

    http://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/20170131/team-news-updates-on-ramsey-and-oxlade-chamberlain

    on Aaron Ramsey…
It’s a calf strain. I don’t know how long he will be out for, but it’s a calf strain.

    on Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain limping…
He got a kick on his knee, yes.

on whether Oxlade-Chamberlain is a doubt for the Chelsea game…
No, I don’t think so. I think he should be alright.

Quick poll time as I "fix" my team

    A. Coleman, Siggy, Lukaku, Crouch
    B. Brunt, Snodgrass, Lukaku, Defoe
    C. Coleman, Fer, Lukaku, Crouch

    Thanks
