Time once again to open the door to Paddy’s house, wipe our feet on his mat o’welcome and wander down the corridor until we come to a room known only as ‘Anytime Goalscorer and Clean Sheet odds’.

And before we take a second to reflect on why anyone – even a bookmaker – would choose such a name for a room, let’s take a look at the Enhanced Offers available to new customers signing up this weekend.

Liverpool have won just once in their last seven league matches, while this weekend’s visitors to Anfield, Arsenal, have lost two of their last three and got badly Bayerned in Munich not so long ago to boot.

So unless they stagger to a draw, somebody’s going to have to remember what victory tastes like, and Paddy’s got some major odds in both flavours.

If it’s a home win you want, then you can get 10-1 on the Reds to beat Arsenal.

And if or some reason you don’t think that’s generous enough, then even you can’t fail to be impressed by the borderline insane 16-1 you can get on the Gunners to prevail.

Back on more stable odds grounds, Chelsea are 7-1 to beat West Ham, although they’ll have to break a run of two straight away draws to do it, Manchester United are 6-1 to beat Bournemouth at Old Trafford and Man City are at the same price to win at Sunderland.

Enhanced winnings are credited in free bets. Be sure to check the terms and conditions that apply on all those offers and, of course, we should state that all these specials are only available to those aged 18 or over. If you’re going to wager, please always gamble responsibly.

I’ve got a piece of card with Romelu Lukaku’s name on it, so congratulations to him for winning this week’s captaincy poll.

Wait.

No.

It’s Sergio Aguero. He won.

It could only be him, what with those tasty double fixtures and his nearly 300,000 new owners.

He won the poll by a landslide and Paddy’s 1.44 on him to score at Sunderland tomorrow is one of the shortest prices we’ve seen in a while.

Two of the also-rans in the poll – Zlatan Ibrahimovic (1.61) and Harry Kane (1.83) – aren’t priced much more attractively, although Diego Costa at 2.00 has some merit.

He broke a three-match run without a goal against Swansea last week and faces a West Ham outfit that, while unbeaten in three, have kept just the one clean sheet in nine matches.

Interest in Costa’s team-mate Pedro is on the up – he’s in the top five for transfers-in this week after scoring in back-to-back matches. You can get a chunky 3.00 on him making it three in a row.

Even more popular than Pedro has been Southampton’s Manolo Gabbiadini who, until a late rush to acquire Aguero and Raheem Sterling, was the Gameweek’s most purchased player.

The Italian has five goals from his first three starts for the Saints and Paddy are offering 3.25 on him continuing his run away at Watford.

On the downside, will Southampton be suffering an EFL Cup hangover after coming so close to Wembley glory? On the upside, the Hornets have kept just one clean sheet since Gameweek 9.

If you’re inclining towards that downside, then Troy Deeney (four goals from his last five starts) looks generously priced at 3.60.

And if you fancy a proper punt, you can get 8.50 on West Brom’s Gareth McAuley scoring for the third week in a row when the Baggies entertain Crystal Palace.

Something is rotten in the state of Bournemouth, who haven’t won since Gameweek 19 and will struggle to reverse that trend at Old Trafford today.

They have, however, only been blanked twice in that run, so it’s no surprise that Antonio Valencia is the only Man United defender to make it into the top 30 for transfers-in this week. The Red Devils’ impending Gameweek 28 blank will have much to do with that as United are the shortest-priced team (1.72) to keep a clean sheet this week.

Leicester City versus Hull City at the King Power could reap richer rewards.

The champions’ new Shakespearean age started with a bang against Liverpool, although the quality of the Merseysiders was decidedly strained.

Only Jamie Vardy has troubled the top 30 for new buys among Leicester players, but the 2.29 on them blanking Hull – without an away goal from their last three trips – suggests Paddy has faith in their defenders.

The Tigers, meanwhile, shut out both Man United and Liverpool recently, so the 4.33 you can get on them repeating the trick at Leicester looks interesting.

Fantasy interest in Hull players seems to have stalled this week, however, with precisely zero of them in the top 30 for transfers-in despite the allure of a Gameweek 28 fixture to come.

Lot of talk about this Aguero doubt online.

Anyone else nervous about TCing him? Could be Andy Carroll TC all over again.

Pep might not risk him against Sunderland, perfect game for Kelechi after scoring from the bench against Huddersfield.

And the Stoke game comes a few days before the CL second leg against Monaco and PL match against Liverpool.

Too much doubt there. Might keep TC for later, or just stick it on Allen or Sterling.

    Thoughts?

Why do people think Kun will be rested in one of the games?

      - Was on the bench for 7 of last 11 pl matches - so fatigue isnt a problem

      - Jesus injured and nacho out of pecking order so less competition

      - In great form/sharpness and pep praised him so why bench him and disrupt the team flow.

The owners met with Pep this week - I doubt the owners told Pep to prioritise the FA Cup.

Pep played Aguero in the FAC reply against a Championship side, so what makes you think he will rest him in the next round ? Maybe to prioritise the CL?

Looks like City need silverware and the best bet is the cups ?

There will be scenes if he doesn't start both this GW

Ooo forgot about that. Guess it makes him a bit safer, but will Pep even risk him for both league games?

Kelechi was favoured against Burnley this season, another equally easy game as Sunderland. And Kun has this rumoured knock now.

I think we could end up with just 90-110 mins from Kun which is basically a single gameweek

    Couple of quick questions
    1) Start Philips or Coleman?
    2) Barkley >> sane (-4)? means 1 less gw28 player...so Sane will need to beat (4 points + 2 barkley games (gw27/28))
    3) Holebas >> stones (-4)...assuming holebas keeps a cs (unlikely)...stones will need 10 points to breakeven

    A) Ben Mee (swa), to double up on Burnley defence
    B) Seamus Coleman (tot)

Swanseas attacking data is very poor, but Coleman offers the potential of attacking points.

Not always a good idea to come on here on Saturday mornings. Oftentimes you end up scrambling around trying to find out if some troll poster claim is true. Much worse in a DGW as well!

at this point, even though he has done nothing, definitely need to know what the feeling is on Philips starting.

yay or nay that he goes.

Is it worth -8 hit for Phillips to Allen.

    If not

    Play Phillips or crouch?

I'm not bothered about Stoke DGW... they're playing rubbish and 'Boro have a decent enough defence to keep them down to the odd goal, if any. If I was getting Stoke players in it would be defenders.

I'm starting Phillips and hoping for the best. If he starts, it's a very good fixture and he plays next week.

The only DGWer I'd consr getting in for Philips for a hit is Sane or Sterling.

Looking for a midfielder, 7.2m to spend, playing wildcard.

Arnautovic has a double game week but he's not that in form, thinking of going with mata or lallana? Looking at next weeks limited fixtures too.

    What you guys reckon?

    Heaton
    Alonso Coleman Brunt Pieters
    Eriksen Sterling(Tv) Sané
    Ibrahimovic Lukaku Aguero(Tc)

    (Pickford Phillips de Roon Smith)

Triple locked in...just too good an opportunity to steal ground on my main ML rival who incredibly is saving a transfer this week with Sterling his only player in the DGW...theory is I can block his triple captain move later in the season by captaining same player, meanwhile Aguero and Co. go crazy this week and build me a comfy lead...all sounds good in theory but in practice will it deliver the glory anticipated?!

Just need to decide between trusty Coleman (tot) or dodgy Phillips (CPL)...I have Brunt covering some of the WBA attack/defence, and feeling a Spurs 0-0 Everton...maybe even a sneaky Coleman goal or assist... Phillips 10min cameo?

Is this spot on for GW 27

    -------------------------Grant---------------------------

    Alonso-------------Walker-------------Pieters

    Mane------Sane(VC)---Siggy-------Eriksen

    Lukaku---------Aguero (TC)---------Crouch

    Subs Heaton Alli Baines Amat

Personally I'd switch Alli > Sterling and play Sterling over Crouch. Alli is a wasted spot if he's not in your lineup this week or next..

Earlier on in the season we saw Kun being benched be Barcelona in favour of playing KDB in the false 9 position. I think it would be prudent of Pep to repeat this tactic against Stokelona in midweek. So I'd either TC Sterling or Allen.

I think he is more likely to get benched against Liverpool because of their pressing style.

Hughes has aspird to play like Barcelona, even going so far as to bringing Bojan and Lionel Allen to the club

Could be a F9, or Kelechi up top if he wants to leave Aguero out and not risk aggravating his injury
