Harry Kane is sidelined for Tottenham’s home clash against Southampton. Paul Pogba is set to miss Manchester United’s trip to Middlesbrough. Leighton Baines should be fit for Everton’s home counter with Hull City, while Fernando Llorente is available for Swansea City’s trip to Bournemouth.

Bournemouth will have Andrew Surman available to face Swansea City following the midfielder’s one-match ban, but Tyrone Mings is still suspended. Harry Arter is a doubt due to a slight calf problem, while a late call will be made on Junior Stanislas, who’s making progress following a groin injury. Lys Mousset is expected to available, despite suffering a hamstring complaint for the U23’s in midweek.

Swansea City head coach Paul Clement revealed that Fernando Llorente is “okay,” with the striker returning to training yesterday, along with Kyle Naughton, who has recovered from a hamstring injury. Martin Olsson is not expected to be fit to face the Cherries due to an ankle injury, though, with Stephen Kingsley set to deputise at left-back.

Everton manager Ronald Koeman revealed that Leighton Baines would “normally” be fit for tomorrow’s home clash against Hull City after returning to training yesterday following a back problem. James McCarthy is out with a hamstring injury, though.

As for the Tigers, Markus Henriksen has returned to training ahead of the trip to Goodison Park. But following a long spell on the sidelines with a shoulder problem, this weekend may come slightly too soon for the Norwegian. Evandro (calf) remains out, though, while forward Oumar Niasse is ineligible to face his parent club.

James Morrison suffered an ankle injury this week, and is a doubt ahead of West Bromwich Albion’s home fixture against Arsenal. Matt Phillips looks set to miss out with a hamstring injury once again.

Kieran Gibbs and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are both doubts ahead of Arsenal’s trip to The Hawthorns. Arsene Wenger revealed Gibbs is “uncertain,” while Oxlade-Chamberlain was due to undergo a test yesterday after picking up a hamstring injury during the 5-0 win over Lincoln City in the FA Cup. Mohamed Elneny has returned from an ankle injury, though, and could come back into the squad.

Glen Johnson is out of Stoke City’s home clash against leaders Chelsea due to a shoulder injury, but Mame Biram Diouf is available after recovering from a knock. Xherdan Shaqiri has also been able to train with no issues this week, and is an option for manager Mark Hughes, while Marko Arnautovic has recovered from illness.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Ander Herrera are both suspended for Manchester United’s trip to Middlesbrough, while Paul Pogba has been ruled out after picking up a hamstring injury during last night’s 1-0 win over FC Rostov in the Europa League. Daley Blind will need to be assessed ahead of the trip to the Riverside after suffering a knock to the head in the same match, while Anthony Martial and Wayne Rooney are both injury doubts.

Patrick van Aanholt will miss Crystal Palace’s home match against Watford due to an ankle injury. Meanwhile, Etienne Capoue is a doubt for the Eagles’ opponents Watford, having missed a couple of days training this week due to illness, with the midfielder set to be assessed today. Daryl Janmaat and Nordin Amrabat are both fit to return, though, following groin and ankle injuries respectively.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche stated that midfielder Steven Defour is “touch and go” for the trip to Sunderland – the Belgian has recovered from a hamstring injury, but is lacking match fitness. Johann Berg Gudmundsson remains out with a knee injury.

Mark Noble has been ruled out for West Ham United’s home encounter against Leicester City, after aggravating a knock during last weekend’s 3-2 defeat to Bournemouth. Robert Snodgrass (ankle sprain) is expected to be fit for the Hammers.

Nampalys Mendy was able to take some part in Thursday’s training session for Leicester City ahead of their trip to the London Stadium, but the midfielder is only rated as “50/50” to be named in the Foxes squad. All the players who featured in Tuesday night’s 2-0 win over Sevilla in the Champions League on Tuesday night are said to be okay, though.

      Got pressured by being top of the page, and I'm all out of questions myself - so, anyone want a wild opinion on their team / transfer?

        Sure Simon, how about the usual one me and many others are wondering: Coutinho to Sanchez for -4?

          No seriously - that's a genuine question 🙂

          Replace Coutinho for Firmino for me though - not sure if Roberto will be fronting up on Sunday as yet.

          This week, tricky. Can see merits of both sides. Liverpool vs City will have goals, but I'm not a fan of Coutinho as a fantasy asset. He's explosive yes, but too streaky so you're always doubting him. West Brom look on their holidays and think Sanchez will score, I'd say fortune favours the brave - go for it.

              Very simple point - but you'll be proved right by the points. Logically can see both sides. But for no hit I'd definitely want Sanchez. -4 it's up in the air. Any other Liverpool?

      Who'll replace Kane in 3-4-2-1 against Southampton?

      Son or Janssen?

      Should I get one of these two now or wait for the next gameweek to see whom will Pochettino pick for this gameweek?

        I would say Gabbiadini. Cons: this week & short sample size of his form. Pros: that sample size is amazing, he has great fixtures coming up, has DGWs.

        Defoe a nice one too, but I think Sunderland are done for and think Gabb will outscore him. Deeney too streaky for me.

          An option yes, I currently have him with Costa & Kaku. But he'll go next week as he's too expensive for what he's putting out. Gabbi will come in.

        I've done Snoddy to Son this week for a -4. Sane is a trickier one. I'd say no, stick. Sane scoring so you have a good chance at returns. Son's international trip is a slant against him, you can wait and do the move next week.

        The injury was very disappointing.

        My hope is that Swansea continue to focus on swinging crosses into the box, put in the most crosses they have in any match this season against Burnley and it looked like something they were working on.

        I've always rated him very highly, has the attributes of an older "classic" number 9 while also having a decent dose of Spanish technique.

        Getting into the Spanish squad at their peak alongside Villa and Torres was always an indication that he had talent. Wasn't nailed in the team of course, much more a bit part player, but still I think he has more ability than is sometimes credited with. Especially when they confirmed that Chelsea did try and sign him in January. Kinda wish he came to the PL sooner.

          Yep, he's just so composed as well. Clearly well respected by top managers like Costa and Pep, if the transfer rumours are to be believed. It's great to see him come to the Prem not just for the cash, but to actually improve Swansea.

            • 15 Years
            8 years, 9 months ago

            Agreed, he still wants to be playing regular football which is nice to see because with his CV I'm sure he could have headed MLS or China.

            Yeah I saw the links between him and City which is an interesting one. I remember a number of years ago Piqué had an interview and was asked what striker in La Liga did he dread coming up against and he said Llorente because of his strength, he just gives defenders a torrid time.

      I was modest with my Aguero TC expectations: a goal in each game (too much to ask for, apparently). So I'm going full bore this week - a goal from each of my strikers and midfielders, a cleanie for all my defenders, and a bonus point for everyone.

            I was surprised Roma bottled it (though they do enjoy capitulating). They're 2nd in Serie A and very much so the biggest threat I could see to United.

            Still, some decent teams with very capable players in there. United need to keep the wits about them.

          Mourinho had some very salty comments on United's schedule, he even said they'd probably lose to boro.
          He's probably really annoyed with Pogba's injury, is it realistic to expect a very rotated United side on sunday?

            No. It is realistic to expect United not to rest until they have secured a top 4 finish. 🙂

              Not to rest during that busy schedule could well back fire. I think there will be rotation here and there

                Yeah, a bit, he has a big squad. But not "a very rotated side". He'll want to win every game.

            No Ibra, Herrera, Pogba, Martial, Rooney. Could see a bit of rotation alright.

            Would love Schweinie to get a crack but can't see it happening.

            No. He keeps saying that all the time. Anyways he doesn't have ibra and pogba. So the team will be a bit different.

            It's just Mourinho being Mourinho.

            Mata was quality last night. I think I only saw him give the ball away once and they weren't backwards or sideways passes.

          Aké... He used to be all the rage didn't he? Disappointed that Conte hasn't played him since he was recalled. At least in the league. What was the point in that? On loan he could hurt title challengers and gain experience. Double win.

            Not popular I guess, but currently benching Jaku, Walker, Coutinho and Llorente.

              It's a little tricky to read. Maybe format your team without the line spaces?

              I'm not sure Daniels is on pens? I'd play both Llorente and Coutinho ahead of him.

                  Dembele now fit too - I sense a bit of rotation

            Heaton | Foster
            Walker | Coleman | McAuley | Holebas | Love
            Mane | Coutinho | Siggy | Antonio | Zaha
            Kun | Lukaku | Llorente

            1FT and 0.5 itb. What to do?

            A. Antonio, Zaha -> Spurs mid, T. Carroll (-4)
            B. Kun, Antonio/Zaha -> Defoe/Deeney/Costa, Spurs mid (-4)
            C. Llorente, Antonio -> Barnes, Spurs mid (-4)
            D. Holebas, Antonio -> Pieters/Mawson, Spurs mid (-4)
            E. Antonio -> Son (free)

            Serious question. Whos better looking?

            A) Mourinho
            B) Conte

            Personally think both are really handsome but cant make my mind.

              Mourinho can't get it up, so that rules him out for starters.

              It's really a competition for second place with Llorente in the league 😎
