FFS Cup

The Scout Cups Reminder

With 13 days remaining until domestic action resumes, we thought we’d remind you of the two Fantasy Football Scout cups that are still open to enter.

As mentioned last week, we have launched our 14th open-to-all tournament, along with a tenth Members competition.

We are offering up £350 in Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk vouchers for the final top three managers in both tournaments.

Non-members can sign up to the open tournament here.

Our members can sign up to both tournaments, via entry forms here and here.

Timetable

The qualifying round for both Cups was Gameweek 29, with the first round running in Gameweek 30.

It’s not too late to get involved, though, if you haven’t done so already.

Fantasy managers can enter their teams from now right up to 10.30am on Monday March 27 – ie, a week today – when we’ll stop entry and make the first round draws shortly after.

The first round will consist of 512 teams and, as usual, all the previous winners who enter will gain a bye into the first round draw, where they will join the top scorers from Gameweek 29.

Previous winners must enter with the same usernames to gain their bye.

Both these cup competitions will be played out according to the following Gameweek schedule:

FFS Cups Round Dates
Qualifying – Gameweek 29
Round 1 – 512 teams – Gameweek 30
Round 2 – 256 teams – Gameweek 31
Round 3 – 128 teams – Gameweek 32
Round 4 – 64 teams – Gameweek 33
Round 5 – 32 teams – Gameweek 34
Round 6 – 16 teams – Gameweek 35
Quarter-Final – 8 teams – Gameweek 36
Semi-Finals – 4 teams – Gameweek 37
Final and third place play-off – 2 teams – Gameweek 38

When are the fixtures released?
The fixture list for each round will be published a day or two before each Gameweek deadline. The first round draw will be made and published shortly after March 27.

3rd Place: £50 Voucher

Entry Details

After entering the cups via the links above, you will be sent a confirmation email to verify your entry.

You’ll also be asked to confirm your FPL team id at the point of entry – please be sure to click the link to verify that your team is correct before confirming. If you FPL team is incorrectly entered, we cannot amend this at a later date.

Your FPL Id is your unique Id for your FPL team. This is found via your Gameweek History page – the link to which is found in the right hand menu under your FPL team strip. When you visit your Gameweek History you will see a number in the URL (as opposed to the XXX below).

https://fantasy.premierleague.com/a/entry/XXX/history

Place this 1-7 digit number or your Gameweek History URL in the FPL id field on the entry form.

You entry is only confirmed once you have confirmed your FPL team Id as part of the process.

To check that you’re entered correctly, please scan the list of current entries.

We ask you to supply a FFScout username so we can feature you, as a member of our community, in any articles associated with the tournament. Ideally, you will already have a username with us but this is not essential to enter. You must, however, supply a username for the purpose of the tournament so you can be identified in articles.

You must not change this username throughout the course of the tournament. Should you do so without permission, or should you enter multiple teams or if your FFS account comes under moderation for any reason, we reserve the right to remove you from a tournament.

Depends on late entries. Currently 78 and top 50K rank is borderline.

Assuming no injuries during IB, I'm thinking of using my 2 FTs & 5.2m ITB to do

    Barnes to Vardy
    Brunt to Yoshida

    Would give

    Jaku – Boruc

    Alonso – Coleman – Yoshida – Robertson – Holgate

    Mane – Eriksen – Siggy – Sane – King

    Aguero – Lukaku – Vardy

Would mean 3-4-3 with King first off bench during his difficult fixtures & few FTs before DGWs to rejig. WC 35/36, BB 37

    Anything glaringly wrong with this?

Nice. With Robertson and Holgate out in time it will be good for DGWs too

Yeh mate, in next few weeks, some possible swaps

        Robbo to Boro Def
        Holgate to Stephens
        Vardy to Gabbiadini
        Aguero to Ibra
        Coleman to Valencia
        Boruc to Pickford

A very good question ...to which I have no answer at the moment!

Very few clear captain options all round I think?

    Rate my WC team:

    De Gea - Pickford
    Walker - Alonso - Yoshida - Stones - Barragan
    Sterling - Siggy - Sanchez - Zaha - Alli
    Lukaku - Costa - Gestede

that is a very risky squad for immediate future in some areas

Gestede is terrible. Zaha has worse fixtures imaginable. Defence very light.

I can see what you've tried to do, but I would probably only have 1 or 2 of those palace/boro players and look at a more balanced side for next few weeks

why is sterling still in there as well? horrible fixtures, no double until 37

        liverpool have much better fixtures

I would look at Tadic as well. Awesome next two and double 35/36. And you have to get Valencia for me.

The leader in my league has 60 points lead. He has the triple C and Bench Boost but without a wildcard.

I tried to catch with Aguero TC... we know what happened. So 2 questions for you, guys:

1)When do you think is the right time to use my WC, so as to maximize my bench boost, around 35,36 maybe?

2)We both have Costa Lukaku,Mane,Sanchez...wondering to play the risk game and change Kaku for Vardy and C him in the next match, so as to try to narrow his lead.

Looking forward to your ideas! 🙂

WC 36 is looking good with a mediocre GW34 DGW.

Kaku for Vardy is a risk considering Kaku's form you can get that 60 point lead with just a few good captain choices.

Yeah, I didnt have a lot of luck with the C's in the first half of the season - when I played boring, it turned out it was worth risking and vice versa.

However I got it right with the goals of Lukaku, so need to carefully see who is the next captain 🙂

Be careful with that Aguero plan. GJ may be back by then and whilst he may not drop Aguero as such he may well want to give GJ a game or two before seasons end...or at least one.

Already brought in Valencia for Amat, bring in Fuchs after IB for Brunt worth a -4?

Probably, but wait for Friday before next games as injuries might force more pressing issues

I was burned by Fuchs earlier in the season think a punt on an attacker will pay off better.

Are all desirable FPL players in international action this IB or are their any notable exceptions?

E.g. Like Ibra would be if not bannned

Thanks Numb. A motley bunch then, either injured or not great options. Rashford called up by England as well.

Makes patience on transfers until international games are over pretty compelling.

Just seen my target Yoshida has got to play in UAE and Japan. Puts him straight into rotation risk on fatigue grounds I suppose.

Why do you get 2 weeks after the qualifying GW to enter the cup? Why not make it the 2 weeks before the GW?

      DGWs:

Palace play Liverpool away and Spurs at home - do not like Palace's chances.
Liverpool have picked up 33 pts from a possible 42 pts at home losing only once.
Spurs have picked up 30 pts from a possible 36 pts against teams in the bottom 10.

Man Utd play Burnley away and Man City away - decent shout particularly against City
Burnley have picked up 29 pts from a possible 42 pts at home conceding only 12 goals (0.86 goals per game) - 4th best in the league
City have picked up only 8 pts from a possible 21 pts at home against teams in the Top 10.

Middlesbrough play Bournemouth away and Sunderland at home - have a chance of returns.
Difficult to get a handle on both Sunderland and Bournemouth other than Sunderland are best against teams in the bottom 6 and Bournemouth are strong at home.

Even them are not filling me with excitement.

Of course. Conte said it was precautionary. Can't understand why Belgium at least don't want a look at him - they may be willing to risk him.

Tricky time to be a FPL manager eh lads? Sticking with form over fixtures the most part but planning for those doubles and games in hand also key,

      Currently:
      -----------Grant (Jaku)
Baines, alonso, Mawson (stones, funes Mori **)
      Sanchez, Mane, Firmino, Siggy, King
      Lukaku, Llorente (Crouch)
      3.4 ITB - 2FT..

      What's priority?
      A) Funes Mori to David Luiz/other?
      B) upgrade llorente to Costa by Downgrading Mane to Sterling?
      C) Manson to Valencia
      D) could do A+C but then will need to play 442/451 and keep Llorente and Crouch

trying to plan a bit : Which dgw would you play your benchboost if no wildcard left ?

GW 34 : Ibra, Valencia, Chambers, Hennesey ( Not captaining Ibra )

35/36 : Walcott, Yoshida, Gabbiadini, Ospina (If cech is injured if not a single gameweek player )

37 : Gabbiadini, Pickford, Kone, De roon

Probably best you working transfers in steadily to make GW37 your BB. Gives you more time to build up some more decent DGW players.

Maybe be worth waiting until closer to DGW34 before bringing one in, all look fairly horrible or injury prone at the moment.

Hmm... Sane or Sanchez out for Alli?

Also have Llorente stinking up the place but might bench next week.

Alli in early? and for whom? Not sure what Sanch is at

Mane also there but slightly more content with him... for some reason 😐

No to Alli in early, wait till after int. break. If Sanchez is fit do Sané to Alli, if not then Sanch out with an eye to get him back in soon.
