With 13 days remaining until domestic action resumes, we thought we’d remind you of the two Fantasy Football Scout cups that are still open to enter.

As mentioned last week, we have launched our 14th open-to-all tournament, along with a tenth Members competition.

We are offering up £350 in Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk vouchers for the final top three managers in both tournaments.

Non-members can sign up to the open tournament here.

Our members can sign up to both tournaments, via entry forms here and here.

Timetable

The qualifying round for both Cups was Gameweek 29, with the first round running in Gameweek 30.

It’s not too late to get involved, though, if you haven’t done so already.

Fantasy managers can enter their teams from now right up to 10.30am on Monday March 27 – ie, a week today – when we’ll stop entry and make the first round draws shortly after.

The first round will consist of 512 teams and, as usual, all the previous winners who enter will gain a bye into the first round draw, where they will join the top scorers from Gameweek 29.

Previous winners must enter with the same usernames to gain their bye.

Both these cup competitions will be played out according to the following Gameweek schedule:

FFS Cups Round Dates
Qualifying – Gameweek 29
Round 1 – 512 teams – Gameweek 30
Round 2 – 256 teams – Gameweek 31
Round 3 – 128 teams – Gameweek 32
Round 4 – 64 teams – Gameweek 33
Round 5 – 32 teams – Gameweek 34
Round 6 – 16 teams – Gameweek 35
Quarter-Final – 8 teams – Gameweek 36
Semi-Finals – 4 teams – Gameweek 37
Final and third place play-off – 2 teams – Gameweek 38

When are the fixtures released?
The fixture list for each round will be published a day or two before each Gameweek deadline. The first round draw will be made and published shortly after March 27.

    Pickford / Foster
    Alonso / Coleman / Brunt* / F.Mori* / Pieters
    Mane / Eriksen / Coutinho* / Siggy / Grosicki
    Aguero / Lukaku / Carroll

    2FT 0.4 ITB

Currently planning on doing F.Mori > Valencia

Who to downgrade Coutinho to? Max 7.5

    A) Pedro
    B) Lanzini
    C) Ayew
    D) Redmond
    E) De Roon & bank the cash

I'm happy playing the rest of my front 7 this week so would a move to a cheapie mid player be wise?

    Walker or Alonso?

    Big decision...

    1. ScotDougie
      • 10 Years
      8 years, 9 months ago

If I had to choose one it would be Alonso simply because Chelsea have a massive lead in the PL they can afford to sit back and grind out results and play safe where as spurs have to really go for it in every game possibly leaving them vulnerable for counter attacks - just an opinion there really isn't much to split them

      1. Chris_White

Fair points. Walker more likely to deliver attacking returns by that logic..

Chelsea have some mixed fixtures upcoming. Spurs fixtures looks good so probably Walker first by that logic although Alonso can do damage against anybody

  5. April Fool Scheduling for Man Utd
    makaveli123

There have been some discussions on Man United players, DGWs and rotation of the squad.
April will be a busy month for the club, fighting for a CL spot in two competitions. Out of the top 6 in the league, they have the least favourable fixtures, and with games in Europe, they will se some rotation.

    Fixture list April:
    01.04: MU v WBA
    04.04: MU vs EVE
    09.04: SUN vs MU
    13.04: Anderlecht vs MU (EL)
    16.04: MU vs CHE
    20.04: MU vs Anderlecht (EL)
    23.04: BUR vs MU
    27.04: MAC vs MU
    30.04: MU vs SWA

I am no expert, but I think it’s safe to assume that even the immortals (Ibra & Valencia) will see some of the games from the bench. I expect Mourinho to field a strong XI away to Anderlecht (they are not that bad, currently no. 1 in their domestic league) and he will also need his best players against Chelsea and Man City.
Could this mean that Valencia and/or Ibra are rested (=benched) against Burnley in the DGW?

DDG, Valencia and Ibra are the only stand out picks in my opinion. Too much risk-vs-reward in the defense (Bailly, Smalling, Rojo, Jones, Young, Darmian..), but Mhki and Mata could be interesting as differentials/punts.
Any thoughts? I would love some input.

I gotta agree with all you say.....still think Valencia worth getting in now.....usually have two def subs to cover in case of a now show.

If going down the Ibra route, which I still think will be fruitful, then make sure 5th mid/3rd fwd is decent. I currently have Capoue. He is not decent.

Other than that, I don't think I'll take much more risk.

i think he meant that valencia maybe play only one game in the dgw so the cover will not help you in this case as he will play the next one

Nice post. Should be Hulked. I Think Ibra Valencia and DDG are the only ones you can trust and all others prone to rotation . Have to see how Mourinho rotates his squad in PL but its risky getting anyone elsea apart from them 3

I guess a good way of looking at it are the players that do at least come on even if they don't start.

If anyone has any stats on number of sub appearances that may be useful. I'd take a player that started and played 30 in the next match potentially.

Good point. Even if Ibra is benched in one game, he is so influential that a 20 min cameo could result in a goal or an assist..

Good post, that is some fixture congestion! Agree with the 3 you mention as picks, with all the other players currently looking too risky. Man U have such a large squad they are a rotation nightmare at the best of times, let alone with this many fixtures.

I'm not even convinced Ibra is essential, he's been in my team for 2 seperate spells this season, and despite producing on occasion, for his price i'm still not entirely convinced he is good value. The team as a whole just don't seem set up to score many goals, whereas they do seem quite well set up to stop opponents scoring. Thats why I'm considering investing in only DDG (already own Valencia).

That is a lot of games.

Only nailed player is likely to be DeGea.

I reckon you might get more minutes out of top front line SGW players than Man U doubles in GW34, which would cause unprecedented 'scenes' and uproar from those that play their WC in GW33 for a DGW34 BB?

Of course there is a chance for rotation and i think it will happen as you wrote against Burnley

Yeah that's a horror schedule, even Valencia will be rested during that period. Tbh it wouldn't surprise me at all if Walker & Coleman both outscored him from now until the end of the season despite playing one & two games less respectively.

I think Ibrahimovic, De Gea and Valencia are nailed.

Ibrahimovic will get plenty of rest in these suspensions.

De Gea is a GK, so no need for explaining.

Valencia is a machine imo. Even in the 90th minute against Boro, he was running and chasing the ball leading him to a goal.

As Mourinho has been using the 3-4-3 formation lately with three CBs, I think CBs are also worth a punt. Only one of Jones, Bailly, Rojo and Smalling will get benched in that formation. We can keep a close eye as to which CBs is starting the most games till the DGWs.

Mkhitaryan got a rest against Boro so he is also worth considering.

Rotation isn't the only threat to minutes either. Anyone who plays this number of games is going to be more prone to injury. It really could be a lottery but the likes of Ibra and Valencia are probably still worth the risk due to the potential upside.

I thought I'd put a watermelon in my belly (Arabic idiom meaning relieved) when I got 77 points this GW. But when I checked the amount of people entering the cup & all them high points. I am not so confident I will be able to qualify anymore, what do you guys reckon will be the safety score?

Just seen the Man City v Liverpool match. Incredible effort from both teams. Could have been 5-5.
The Firmino early celebration has me in stitches.

He didn't celebrate though. He saw that he missed before he made the slide in grief.

      Amat + Phillips to Valencia + De Roon worth a -4 ?

      Have exact funds.

      Team:

      Heaton - Robinson
      Alonso - Coleman - Davies - Ake - Amat
      Mane - Sane - Eriksen - Siggy - Phillips
      Kun - Lukaku - Llorente

      1 FT 0.8 ITB

      Thanks!

Hello guys. If Antonio is out after international break, who would get to replace him from this lot (also doing Brunt -> Valencia the most probably):

      Heaton
      Brunt, Baines, Alonso
      Sigurdsson, Mane, Antonio, Alli
      Lukaku, Aguero, Llorente

subs: Foster --- Robertson, Clayton, Holgate --- 1 FT, 4.6 ITB

      A) Eriksen
      B) Mahrez
      C) Lanzini
      D) Redmond
      E) Someone else, who?

So based on the safe score is about 78 points now, can you guys make another cup for sore losers like myself? (before Sunday I had 72 points and had 3 players (Sterling Mane & Coutinho LOLL)

Can someone clarify to me why people are rushing for Soton players?
Am I missing anything? Is there any DGW scheduled?

Good fixtures and double in GW35.

Man Utd, MID and Palace will have a double in GW34

11 games left and they're a decent side. One player is probably enough like.
