I completely agree. Multiple teams should be removed. If you have more than one team each team should be removed leaving you only the team with the least amount of points.

I'm playing 2 teams.One for me,one in my brother's name.But both i manage them "professionally" and none in my ML has a problem with that.

If a person wants to cheat and have a second or third team then that is against the rules and should not be encouraged.

On the otherhand how seriously should I take this game?

Unlike you I am not in the top 100 but languishing somewhere around the 3.5+ mil so it doesn't bother me if people have multiple teams.

So it depends on how seriously you take the game.

I imagine the more serious you take the game the more it will effect you.

For the record I have 1 team and a headache from it!

I can only say be careful where this goes.
You correctly point out that this is an FPL matter , they should enforce their own rules.

We all know that one plays differently depending on whether the focus is on OR or on minileagues. If it is possible to play a certain way to maximize success in a particular minileague, it is clearly an advantage to have teams designed for specific minileagues. In other words, multiple teams are a clear advantage, cash or no, and it becomes a really sleazy move if cash is involved. If everyone else is playing a single team to achieve success in all minileagues and OR, and one person has teams dedicated to specific leagues, it is cheating, at least in principle, if not by the letter of the law. It would be good to be able to stop it.

I have three teams.

One is my main team. This is the one I have always had and have in cash leagues etc, the one I take seriously.

Two is my Work league team, they required signing up for the league with your work email, so I had to make a new team, it's literally the exact same as my first team though as can't be bothered managing two.

Three is an experimental sub-9m players team which I started in GW9 to see if it's worth going for the heavy hitters or spreading the cash.

I think it's fine to have multiple teams, so long as you're not entering them all in different cash leagues, as that's cheating when it comes to money. Which is just bang out of order.

They don't need to tighten up as the rules clearly state one team per competitor, but maybe they should and it would be quite easy to do so. Registering a mobile no. with your entry would be one way to cross-check.

However, sport and competition are reliant on 'fair play' and therefore should only be played by those worthy of that principle.

A Gentleman's agreement should be enough, but if not, then at least in mini-leagues the person can be disqualified and their stake forfeited.

As for the rest - out them publicly ...

FPL don't care about enforcing the multiple team rule and they aren't going to throw resources at doing anything about it other than a token line in their T&Cs - they also officially strongly discourage cash MLs in their T&Cs, which is BS in reality as why would they do this? They just don't want to get involved in legalities if a league goes tits up and people get ripped off, and this is their disclaimer.
