Manolo Gabbiadini is sidelined for Southampton’s home clash against Bournemouth. Michail Antonio is ruled out of West Ham United’s trip to Hull City, while Salomon Rondon and Nacer Chadli will be assessed ahead of West Bromwich Albion’s match at Manchester United.

Southampton will be without Manolo Gabbiadini for the home clash against Bournemouth, with the Italian international sidelined due to a groin injury. Claude Puel also revealed that Maya Yoshida will be assessed after a long-haul flight back from Japan, while there is bad news on Virgil van Dijk, with the defender unlikely to return this season.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has revealed that Ryan Fraser is “touch and go” for the trip to Southampton due to a hamstring issue. The winger has trained this week, though.

Arsenal will be without Petr Cech and Lucas Perez for the home encounter against Manchester City. Cech, who is also set to miss the West Ham United match on Wednesday, is out with a calf injury, while Perez is sidelined due to a thigh problem. Mesut Ozil featured for Germany over the international break and is set to come into contention for a recall.

Slaven Bilic is without Winston Reid, Michail Antonio and Pedro Obiang for the trip to the KCOM Stadium. Antonio’s hamstring injury isn’t as bad as first feared, though, and he could be fit for Wednesday night’s match against Arsenal. Mark Noble is back in training and available for the Hammers.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Ander Herrera are both still suspended ahead of Manchester United’s home clash with West Bromwich Albion, while Paul Pogba, Phil Jones and Chris Smalling are expected to be ruled out.

Salomon Rondon and Nacer Chadli both need to be assessed ahead of West Bromwich Albion’s trip to Old Trafford. Rondon is only returning to the club today following a long-haul flight from South America, while Chadli picked up a shoulder injury while away on international duty with Belgium. Matt Phillips is expected to miss out once again due to a hamstring injury.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche revealed that Johann Berg Gudmundsson isn’t quite ready to return from a knee injury, with the Iceland international set to start training at the start of next week.

Vincent Janssen will be assessed ahead of Spurs’ trip to Turf Moor, having been struck down with a chest infection over the international break.

Swansea City head coach Paul Clement will have Martin Olsson and Kyle Naughton available again for the home clash against Middlesbrough, with the pair recovering from hamstring and ankle injuries respectively.

Xherdan Shaqiri is set to miss out for Stoke City ahead of the trip to Leicester City. The Swiss international has had a setback with his calf tissue, after representing his country during the international break.

Sunderland manager David Moyes was able to deliver good news on Lamine Kone and John O’Shea ahead of the trip to Watford. Kone missed the goalless draw against Burnley with a twisted knee, but has returned to training this week, and is set to start. O’Shea, meanwhile, is expected to be available after suffering a shin injury while on international duty. Lee Cattermole and Victor Anichebe are closing in on first-team returns, but the trip to Vicarage Road is likely to come too soon for the pair. Bryan Oviedo and Sebastian Larsson have returned from international duty with no issues.

All this and more has now been updated in the Team News section ahead of tomorrow’s deadline. Keep an eye on our official Twitter Stream for breaking news – as the day unfolds, we will issue updates from Friday’s press conferences and refresh our Team News tab accordingly to keep you informed.

Worth doing Kun to Vardy this week to free up funds to do King to Sanchez next GW?

I'm holding Kun. Got a feeling he might sneak at least one goal. But tough decision. Might have seriously consider it if it wasn't for a hit

My 2 moves won't be for a hit. Vardy in for Aguero this week.
Sanchez in for King after the City game.

    My team is:

    Pickford, Foster
    Baines, Valencia, Mawson, Smith, Amat
    Sanchez, King, Eriksen, Sigurdsson, Fletcher
    Aguero, Carroll, Lukaku

I was thinking of doing Carroll and Foster to Vardy and Jakupovic. It would be for -4 but my main rival has already taken a hit so I'm not too bothered. Thoughts?

Go to their page, under transfer history you will see Gameweek Transfers. You will see the number of transfers they've made before the deadline. You just obviously can't see who they brought in.

Afternoon all. Been very patient not hitting the button on any transfers despite the shape of my team but its come through the break in not that bad of a shape.

    De Gea (Jaku)
Alonso, Robertson, McAuley (Yoshida, Funes Mori)
    Lanzini, Grosicki Mane Coutinho Son
    Lukaku Aguero (Rondon)

Currently thinking of doing Funes Mori & Aguero to Davies and Vardy (-4).

If I do this it then allows me to do Rondon to Negredo and Son to Sanchez next week. 0.0 itb, happy to do early transfers given proximity of gameweeks. I know my team lacks Chelsea attack and I'm now getting rid of City attack too.

Not to mention Spurs BUT I'm gambling on my liverpool mids doing the business and will most likely get another in before the week after. Long term plan to get Ibra in by downgrading Grosicki after his two favourable fixtures (WHU, MID).

Any thoughts will be really, REALLY appreciated. Thanks.

      1. greghammer95
        • 16 Years
        8 years, 8 months ago

I'm not a fan of it either and it's probably where the key issue is. Thinking it's worth keeping the Liverpool mids though? At least for the next two?

Thanks for another route though I'll consider it but I think 3-5-2 is my preferred formation.

      • 10 Years
      8 years, 8 months ago

Decide if you want to play 3-5-2 or 3-4-3. Rondon and Grosicki are two expensive to be your 8th attacker.

      1. greghammer95
        • 16 Years
        8 years, 8 months ago

Indeed they are. It's a temporary thing, Rondon is deadwood anyways and I don't need the money yet. Next week when I do the Sanchez upgrade and Rondon to Negredo that'll be temporary with a view to downgrade Grosicki to allow for a Lukaku/Vardy upgrade to Ibrahimovic/Kane.

Been holding on to Rose since the injury in the hopes he'd be back by now/soon. From Poch's presser it sounded to me as he's gonna be out for a few more weeks. So is getting Bavies in as short term cover worth a -4? Still got my wc, and will prob bring Rose back if fit by 35.

Rest of my defense is Valencia, Alonso, Baines, Robertson.

    Heaton
    Alonso, Valencia, Mcauley
    Sanchez, Coutinho, King, Siggy, Antonio
    Lukaku, Kane

    Subs Pickford, Baines, Pieters, Llorente

Is it worth -8 to do Kane to Vardy and anotonio to Alli?

Would mean bench Llorente I guess

    Cheers

Why not just do Kane to Vardy this week and get Alli next week?
I'm not sure that Alli is likely to beat Llorente +4 this week.

What are the chances of Arsenal vs Southampton being scheduled for before GW34?

Not sure that's gonna happen. Very slim.
