Eliteserien Fantasy- A New Game From the Developers of FPL

Did you think your summer would be dull without fantasy football? Fear not. The developers of Fantasy Premier League have launched a brand new game called Eliteserien Fantasy.

The game will feature the Norwegian top divison. The site is currently only in Norwegian but it is fairly easy to register and use if you are used to FPL.

The concept and rules are the same as FPL, the only differences being no chips and there’s a  ‘man in the stand’  for bonus points.

The season will have 30 Gameweeks between April and November. A third of the season will be played during the off-season in FPL so this game could soften the summer blow for Fantasy Footy junkies.

Already 58 players have  joined the FFS league, including FPL legend Ville Rönkä. The league code is: 3769-1041

In this article I will take a look at the 16 teams and the players to keep an eye on.

Rosenborg

Having won ‘the double’ two seasons in a row, there is no doubt who is the gigantic fish in this pond. Both league titles have been comfortable with a tally of 69 points, an average of staggering 2.3 points per game. The Rosenborg domination is set to continue with the acquisition of Nicklas Bendtner (12.5). Not only is the insane Dane the most expensive player in the game, he currently also sits in over half the teams.

Mixed results and a few injuries during the pre season, there remains uncertainty around the form of their key players. Rosenborg meet Brann in a face off between last year’s top two teams on March 29. This may give us some answers, or pose more questions as it will be the first of four games Rosenborg play in 10 days. This fixture congestion could be a good reason to overlook the pricey Bendtner for now.

Top 3 targets: Mike Jensen (10.5 MID), Fredrik Midtsjo (8.5 MID), Nicklas Bendtner (12.5 FWD)

Brann

After a shock relegation despite being title contenders in 2014, Brann bounced straight back up the following year. They used that momentum and enjoyed a successful return to the top division, eventually finishing second. Brann’s excellent defence is expected to do well this season as well, especially as Piotr Leciejewski (5.5) might be the best goalkeeper in the league. Early investment in Brann players could pay dividends as their opening few fixtures seem favourable.

Top 3 targets: Fredrik Haugen (9.0 MID), Vito Wormgoor (5.5 DEF), Torgeir Børven (9.0 FWD)

Odd

Starting last season with six consecutive clean sheets, Odd laid the foundations for what turned out to be a third place finish and Europa League qualification. The last 24 games only saw three additional clean sheets but Odd will nonetheless provide excellent defensive options. Espen Ruud (6.5) might prove to be the most essential player in the game. To go along with his nine clean sheets, the right back also managed five goals and eight assists last season.

Top 3 targets: Espen Ruud (6.5 DEF), Fredrik Nordkvelle (9.0 MID), Sondre Rossbach (5.5 GK)

Haugesund

Expect the unexpected when Haugesund are playing. One season they battle for the Europa League places, the next they fight for survival. Given they finished fourth last season, this year their assets may be best avoided! Defensively Haugesund are not much to write home about. Their midfielders have to bear the burden if they are to replicate last year’s form.

Top 3 targets: Haris Hajradinovic (7.5 MID), Erik Huseklepp (8.5 MID), Ibrahim Shuaibu (5.0 FWD)

Molde

Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s second period as Molde manager has failed to reach the heights of his first stint at the club thus far. Back then he led Molde to back-to-back titles, whilst his latest reign has resulted in 6th and 5th placed finishes. With a wealth of options in every position, picking the right Molde players could be a minefield. Solskjær’s preferred tactic seems to be resting players from time to time. Heavy investment in Molde’s assets is probably best avoided to start with.

Top 3 targets: Bjorn Sigurdarson (9.0 FWD), Sander Svendsen (8.5 MID), Mattias Mostrom (6.5 MID)

Sarpsborg

A stable mid table team for the last couple of seasons, Sarpsborg normally go about their business quietly. They do not concede many but they do not score that many either. In fact, their most prolific attacker finished 40th in terms of attacking returns last season. Big things are therefore expected of the attacking minded Krepin Diatta (6.0), an easy on the eye Senegalese U20 international who arrived last month. A Sarpsborg defender could be a must have as they managed 13 clean sheets in the last campaign, with nine of them coming on home soil.

Top 3 targets: Krepin Diatta (6.0 MID), Sigurd Rosted (5.5 DEF), Jonas Lindberg (5.5 FWD)

Strømsgodset

After being a top side since the beginning of the decade, Strømsgodset found themselves finishing mid table last season. They produce fluent attacking play and are a joy to watch, especially at home. Jonathan Parr (6.0) provides us with a potential OOP option. Listed as a defender, the former Crystal Palace and Ipswich left back played a lot on the left wing last autumn. The signing of the experienced left back Stian Ringstad (5.5) could mean a permanent shift to the wing for Parr.

Top 3 targets: Jonathan Parr (6.0 DEF), Marcus Pedersen (10.5 FWD), Lars Vilsvik (6.0 DEF)

Viking

There is not much buzz around Viking at the moment. Kwesi Appiah (7.0) has been signed on loan from Crystal Palace. Despite only being 26, this will be the striker’s sixteenth club in his senior career. Whether he can settle in and finally make it count remains to be seen. With an unfavourable set of fixtures to start the season, overlooking Viking options for the opening might be the best solution.

Top 3 targets: Kwesi Appiah (7.0 FWD), Julian Ryerson (4.5 DEF) Samuel Adegbenro (7.5 MID)

Aalesund

Highest goalscorer from last season still in the league this term is Mos (8.5). He will undoubtably be key this year as well but he is not the only threat Aalesund pose. Most of their goals in the pre season have come from set pieces. Centre back Mantyla has scored three goals without even starting a game but it is another centre back stealing the limelight. Daniel Gretarsson (5.0) has also scored three goals from his four starts this winter. However, Aalesund do concede a lot of goals so any defensive investment has to be purely because of their set piece threat.

Top 3 targets: Mos (8.5 FWD), Edwin Gyasi (7.5 MID), Daniel Gretarsson (5.0 DEF)

Vålerenga

Being the only representation from the capital, Vålerenga have failed to live up to expectations for a good few years. This season they have hired the services of former Celtic manager Ronny Deila. An attacking minded leader, Deila made his name at Strømsgodset where he took the team to league glory in 2013. After years of struggle to get permission and finances to build their own stadium on their side of the city, Vålerenga will finally be moving to their new home mid season. This will likely give them a solid boost throughout the season.

Top 3 targets: Ghayas Zahid (10.5 MID), Mohammed Abdellaoue (9.5 FWD), Markus Nakkim (5.0 DEF)

Sogndal

Gilbert Koomson (7.5) was the only assister in the league to reach double figures last season. However, that is a steep price tag for a player in a team that most likely will be in for a relegation battle. Sogndal had a good defence last season but the latest results in pre season do not exactly look encouraging. Still, if they can replicate some of that defensive form then they have several decent budget options in their team.

Top 3 targets: Matias Dyngeland (4.5 GK), Bjørn Utvik (4.5 DEF), Gilbert Koomson (7.5 MID)

Lillestrøm

Celebrating their 100 years anniversary, Lillestrøm will be hoping they avoid the dogfight this time around. They were dead and buried with five games to play but managed to survive by collecting 11 points from those games. Most of the players are very generously priced, probably reflected by last year’s finish. Lillestrøm should be competing for a place in the upper half of the table. If they manage to do that then there are a few potential bargains in their squad. Daniel Fernandes (4.0) has impressed in pre season, if he can nail done a starting spot then that provides us with an excellent budget goalkeeper.

Top 3 targets: Daniel Fernandes (4.0 GK), Bajram Ajeti (6.5 FWD), Chigozie Udoji (6.0 MID)

Tromsø

Defensively Tromsø are not a good unit. The onus will be on their attacking play. People will recognise Morten Gamst Pedersen (5.5) from his time at Blackburn. After struggling with injuries last season, the set piece specialist is set to claim a place in the centre of midfield. Some calmness in the middle of the park may be exactly what Tromsø need as their passing accuracy of 68.7 % was the worst in the league.

Top 3 targets: Aron Sigurdarson (6.5 MID), Sloboan Vuk (7.0 FWD), Morten Gamst Pedersen (5.5 MID)

Stabæk

Stabæk were favourites to go down in 2015 but thanks to the heroics of Bob Bradley they managed to finish third. During that summer they lost top scorer Adama Diomande to Hull, whilst Bradley left before the 2016 season. Stabæk barely recovered from those losses and somehow just about managed to survive. They are in for another tough season but they do have a couple of cheap prospects to keep an eye on.

Top 3 targets: Moussa Njie (5.5 MID), Luc Kassi (6.0 MID), Hanche-Olsen (4.5 DEF)

Kristiansund

Thirteen years after the club was formed, Kristiansund won the second tier and gained promotion to the top division for the first time. The promotion campaign was thanks to a good defence and a red hot striker. Daouda Bamba (6.5) scored 20 and assisted twice in 28 games. The Ivorian is young and fearless, and is sure to be amongst the goals also in this league.

Top 3 targets: Daouda Bamba (6.5 FWD), Aliou Coly (4.5 DEF), Sean McDermott (4.0 GK)

Sandefjord

Also gaining promotion prior to this season, Sandefjord are favourites to go straight back down. Genuine fantasy options are therefore far and few between, however they might provide a couple of bench fodder options. Seven defeats and no clean sheets in nine pre season games tells they are in for a very rough ride.

Top 3 targets: Erik Mjelde (6.0 MID), Andre Sødlund (4.5 MID), Flamur Kastrati (6.0 FWD)

      I'm currently on Finne (K), if I don't do Bendtner (K)

The thing with Mortensen is he got total of 5G/3A from 26 games last season. Looks good but wonder if he'll keep this up.

Ah well, I did it. 4 point hit.
Zahid, Svendsen and Brustad - Out
        Helland, Koomson and Tagbajumi- In

        Eggs, meet basket...
Gives me Pedersen, Tagbajumi and Vilsvik at home against Ålesund.
Plus, Helland, Jensen and Hedenstad at home to Molde

Plus Fernandes, Ruud, Gamst, Koomson and Berisha as starters.
Wormgoor first on bench ahead of Moe and Sørli.

        See you Saturday!

2 strikers from the same team is a bit odd but could pay off. What do you think of Mortensen as a pick? I'm thinking of doing Finne > Mortensen for GW4.

Blimey, I'm top of the FFS Eliteserien league. Also tp in England. What an honour.

This is a small, statistical review of the first two gameweeks in Eliteserien. I am going to talk about which teams looked better in terms of attacking and defending numbers, expected goals results of matches, which players have great/awful stats (expected goals (xG) and expected assists (xA)), average positions of players so we can understand which fullback is more advanced, which player is the central point of their team's attack etc. If I knew how to give links on texts (instead of copying the full link) that would make reading this comment so much easier but I don't know how to do it, unfortunately, so please put up with bad formatting and please write the solution if you know anything about formatting comments. If you like the content, I can make a review each 2-3 GWs so everyone can learn a little bit more about Eliteserien. I am having a lot of fun so far with games coming thick and fast, and I will most probably continue playing the game until the end of season.

If you don't know anything about expected goals, please take a look at Michael Caley and 11tegen11's works. I will start by looking at the alternative league table, where teams are sorted by their net xG (xG for - xG against):

          League Table: http://i.imgur.com/7kVLU02.png

What I can see from the table is that Rosenborg clearly looks like the best team in the league. While Stabaek's matches look entertaining, Lillestrom, Odds and Brann have the best defenses so far, apart from Rosenborg. I will personally stay away from Sandefjord, Aalesund and Haugesund defenders. Molde are a bit lucky so far. Though we can make assumptions like these from the table but I would wait until GW5 to be sure about teams.

Players with best xG per 90 minutes: http://i.imgur.com/UcfYsKw.png
It may, again, not be wise to make assumptions from such small sample sizes bu we can see which players performed best in terms of xG. Considering the shot numbers, Bye, Lindberg, Omo all made good starts. Lord is also good. Kassi, Keita and Njie have the highest expected goal numbers among midfielders. Tagbajumi have the highest xG per shot, and Bendtner follows him.

Players with best xA per 90 minutes: http://i.imgur.com/ED7B0dR.png
Borven is the most creative player so far. Nguen is the most creative midfielder. Midtsjo looks good despite complaints from the guys here. Hedenstad is the new Ruud? Haugen from Viking not so behind with 0.37 xA/90 if you're looking for an attacking fullback.

Players with best xG + xA per 90 minutes (min. 60 minutes): http://i.imgur.com/8GKRoVx.png
Johansen, Borven and Vilhjalmsson all have over 1 xG+xA per 90 minutes so far. Nguen looks like a bargain at 7.0. Lindberg, Bye and Shuaibu all look amazing value for their prices (all under 5.5). Luckily I have two of them already.

          Some observations from pass maps:

Rosenborg: Hedenstad (2) is really looking good and he is likely to prove worthy of his price. A lot of touches for a right back. http://i.imgur.com/rltZ1gI.png (v Sandefjord)
Sarpsborg: Both fullbacks have lots of touches. Lindberg (10) is the focal point of the attack and he does a good job. http://i.imgur.com/X8XO8AB.png (v Sogndal), http://i.imgur.com/bKiwvBG.png (v Aalesund)
Molde: Remmer is the more advanced fullback.
Brann: I expect good things from Haugen (8) and Barmen (29), especially Haugen. He had good numbers last season too. I'll also try to add a Brann defender soon. http://i.imgur.com/y2nIW2y.png (v Tromso), http://i.imgur.com/U2gaH3T.png (v Stromsgodset)
Sogndal: Koomson is the heart of them but we already knew that.
Valerenga: Nasberg (22) looks really advanced and he has good attacking numbers. He could be a good differential at 5.0. Zahid doesn't look convincing. Finne's touch positions are promising. http://i.imgur.com/RFRxPqc.png (v Viking), http://i.imgur.com/0SIVU8o.png (v Haugesund)
Lillestrom: Don't have much to say except to keep an eye on Melgalvis. Somebody asked about Krogstad and Matthew, they look pretty similar in terms of positioning but Matthew have slightly higher numbers. http://i.imgur.com/6mHgG2t.png (v Sandefjord)
Stabaek: They have a lot of possession and their midfield duo do lots of passing. Njie's (11) positioning is promising, he was in similar spot in both games. With good numbers, he's an excellent bargain. http://i.imgur.com/weB2xhM.png (v Sogndal)
Stromsgodset: Don't know why Nguen didn't start against Brann as he was excellent against Haugesund.
Odd: Ruud (2) doesn't have any attacking returns yet but look at his average positions and the size of his circle! Also, Nilsen (18) has the ball a lot. http://i.imgur.com/dqSugJT.png (v Rosenborg), http://i.imgur.com/onpn9s5.png (v Kristiansund)
Viking: They have been unlucky so far but Haugen (28) have good numbers. http://i.imgur.com/r4uBs6g.png (v Valerenga)
          Sandefjord: They are awful.

If you have any questions about specific players, don't hesitate to ask. I hope this comment doesn't get buried under somewhere.

            Some thoughts so far:

            Goalkeepers

            - No clean sheets from the cheap GKs yet. Still have faith in the Fernandes/Dyngeland combo, but if none of the cheap GKs are getting clean sheets I'll get Leciejewski.

            Defenders

            - Ruud and Hedenstad essential at the back IMO
            - Strømsgodset looking rather average. Not sure if Vilsvik is worth it. With good fixtures coming up I'll give him at least 1 more match
            - I'm looking to get a Brann defender if I replace Vilsvik. Rolantsson are sometimes OOP as a winger, but he's not 100% nailed in the team. Should start most games though. Wormgoor and Kristiansen the safe picks.
            - Not 100% sold on Sarpsborg defence. Obviously some goal threat from Rosted, but it doesn't look like they'll keep as many clean sheets as last year. Personally I'll keep Albech (if he isn't injured)
            - Ryerson is the pick out of the 4.5 defenders. I really regret not getting him. He's been shining as an attacking midfielder. Horrible fixtures coming up and not convinced he's nailed on long term, so I don't think I will use a transfer on him yet.
            - As with the goalkeepers no cheap defenders are keeping clean sheets. Utvik looks dangerous from corners and Megalvis and Coly looks dangerous going forward (as expected). None of them worth spending a transfer on yet IMO.
            - Moe a great pick at 4.0. Would have been one of the best picks at 4.5 as well. He's on corners and free kicks (some direct free kicks as well), so he's a steal. Don't expect too many clean sheets though.

            Midfielders

            - The only premium midfielder proving his worth yet is Mike Jensen. With 2 assist and 4 bonus points so far he has scored a total of 16 points. I think most will agree he's the best player in Eliteserien and will continue to pick up points. The question is: will he outscore Midtsjø by a wide margin? I'm not sure. Midtsjø didn't impress in the first match, but looked much more advanced in the second match. I'm keeping Midtsjø for now, but might get Jensen in a few gameweeks. With so few premium midfielders and attackers performing you don't really need the extra 2.0.
            - Zahid and Vålerenga hasn't impressed yet. Good fixture next gameweek though, so I would give him another chance. Keita yet to make a start, but could be a good pick once he nail down a place in the team.
            - Haugen picked up an assist and 3 bonus points yesterday. He's a central part of the Brann attack and on most set pieces. I'd say he's a decent pick, but I still think he's too expensive. With few premium players performing though his price might not matter too much.
            - Molde midfield is very much a rotation nightmare. I'd say stay away. Svendsen scored 8 points for me this GW, but still looking to sell.
            - Odd wingers could get you some points, but they might be rotated every now and then. Zekhnini and Riski first choices, but Diouf might get some game time and there have been some talks about Agdestein being drilled as a winger. Nordkvelle I find a bit expensive (as with Haugen), but wouldn't be surprised to see him pick up a goal or two soon.
            - Koomson finally delivered some points. He's been unlucky so far, could had a lot more. Essential.
            - Nguen and Jevtovic could be really good picks, but still prone to rotation. Jevtovic more nailed with Rashani out, but could still be benched.
            - Hajradinovic and Gyasi could be decent picks at 7.5. Haugesund have goals in them, but I think Shuaibu up front is a much better pick and not keen on doubling yet. Gyasi plays for Aalesund and they simply don't look good.
            - I'm not sure what to say about Trondsen at 7.0. He's on some set pieces and will surely be involved in some of Sarpsborgs goals (they are free scoring at the moment), but as someone mentioned earlier he is more of a dynamo than the creative player.
            - Matthew at 6.1 is really tempting me. He's one of the best players at Lillestrøm and they have been decent yet. He's a central midfielder, so don't expect him to score every match. I believe he is on penalties though, so he's the pick from the 6.0 bunch for me.
            - Njie haven't got any returns yet, but as Goktugerce said above his number does look really good for a 5.5 midfielder.
            - Only 3 players priced at 4.5 have started both matches (or started any of them). Valles, Sørli and Vetlesen. Vetlesen are the youngest player in Eliteserien and I wouldn't expect him to stay in the starting XI. Subbed before 60 minutes this gameweek as well. Valles is probably nailed on, but a defensive midfielder. Sørli have been looking good and is on some set pieces as well, so he's my pick from the bunch. He has some competition though, so don't be surprised if he's benched in the near future.

            Forwards

            - Bendtner. What to say? You'll have to get him sooner rather than later IMO.
            - Occean and Marcus Pedersen will get you some goal. I'm not sure how many goals they'll get and if they will be worth their price tag, but if you own them I'll keep for now. Strømsgodset hasn't impressed though and as most of you know Pedersen could easily been sent of first gameweek.
            - Sigurdarson and Molde has been quite disappointing so far. I'd keep Sigurdarson (I own him myself) for now though, he is one of the few players I'd say is pretty much nailed on in the starting lineup (even Sigurdarson will be rotated at some point though, I'm pretty sure).
            - Omoujianfo is a great pick. Not the best 2 fixtures coming up, but they are both at home. I believe he's on penalties as well. I wouldn't buy him right now with the fixture, but I wouldn't sell him either if I owned him.
            - Tagbajumi. I don't know too much about him or Strømsgodset to be honest, but I know the team isn't settled and most players (except Marcus Pedersen, Vilsvik and a few others) could be rotated. If he stays in the team he'll probably be a good pick for that price.
            - Mortensen and Lindberg. I'd still get Lindberg out of those two. Lindberg has been really unlucky to not get a goal yet. He's the main man in Sarpsborgs attack and on some set pieces as well. He's cheaper as well!! Still remains to be seen how Fejzullahu affect their game time. On current form they are both undroppable.
            - Bye has started off well. Don't know too much about him, but should be fairly nailed on I believe after Sveen broke his leg. Only 5.5 as well.
            - Shuaibu. What a pick at 5.0. He should be priced at 6.5 or 7.0 IMO. Definitely the best value pick along with Lindberg.

If I could set up my team over again I would have gone for something like this.

            Dyngeland - Fernandes (or Leciejewski)
            Ruud - Hedenstad - Rolantsson/Wormgoor - Ryerson - Moe
            Jensen - Haugen - Koomson - Matthew - Njie
            Bendtner - Omoijuanfo - Lindberg/Shuaibu

I know I said Haugen is too expensive, but he's a better pick than most 7-8 priced midfielders and there are barely any premium priced players worth it.

Should have mentioned Udoji as well. 6.5 priced midfielder, started up front against Molde. Lot of competition though, so could be moved to left winger again.

He's pretty much unknown quantity for me and most Norwegians. He's been playing in some random league (2nd tier Chinese league, in Belarus, Greece ++), but his stats suggest that he does have an eye for goal. He's been impressive in preseason too according to reports/forums.

Update: Matthew being on penalties is based on him taking one in preseason. He missed, I'm not 100% sure if he'll take one in Eliteserien.

Nope, he started 19 games. Only 12 as a centre forward (the rest as a winger). I think he was injured a lot at the start of the season. They have sold Kirkevold who played 28 games last year.

Team looks good for now. Monitor Moa injured. Wouldn't keep him if he isn't expected to play on Sunday. If he's expected to play I would save the FT and reassess after this gameweek. You should make a plan to get Bendtner in. Maybe Moa to Lindberg or Shuaibu this week and Pedersen to Bendtner next week?

Oh. In the new article I wrote that Ned Ryerson was the highest scorer. Why don't you manually change the settings before every GW so that scoring starts in the following GW? Would be easier to keep track when sorted by GW score.

Matthew at Lillestrøm is one to keep an eye on for sure. Lillestrøm fans are raving about him and he might be the next export from Norwegian football. He turned 20 in January, big talent from Nigeria. Joined them mid-season last summer. 8 apps, 6 starts, 2 goals, 3 assist. Now he's pretty much nailed on and has started the season with 1 assist, 1 goal and 4 bonus points. He could be on penalties as well as he took one in pre-season, but he missed and they have also brought in some new strikers. Amazing long shots.

The downside he is a central midfielder and I don't think he takes many set pieces. He is probably the best player at Lillestrøm right know and I can see him get lot of bonus points this year, in addition to some assist and goals every now and then. Don't expect him to finish as the highest scoring midfielder, but surely a good buy at 6.1. I think I'll get him in this week for Svendsen (if I don't buy Haugen).

Not sure if it's worth a FT right now. Long term yes. Depends on your team and if you got other pressing issues.

Depends on if you have other more pressing issues. I assume Sarr is a bench fodder for you, because I would never start him. I rate Matthew as a 4th midfielder.

I don't know if i have pressing issues or not that is the thing. My defence is fine and 3 mids out of 5 as well

Didn't have money in the bank so had to make the Krogstad to Matthew move late last night. Krogstad will get an assist sooner or later from set pieces, but hopefully Matthew keeps his performances up.

              Thoughts on Sigurdarson (Tromso)?

Has he at least been playing well, is he threatening? Should I hold on to him, how are his fixtures? If not, who would you suggest for 7.0 max?

              Rest of attack is:
              Zahid - Koomson - Midtsjo - Valles
              Bendtner - Shuaibu - Finne

Difficult. I haven't watched Tromsø play yet so don't actually know how Siguardson's general play has been. I know for a fact that Matthew is a player I want so I'd probably make the move.

I have 2FT but my team has been great so far, any suggestions? Thinking of upgrading Midstjo, but seems a bit sideways. Odd have a good run, so maybe Riski?

              Dyngeland (Fernandes)
              Ruud, Reginiussen, Ryersen (Wormgoor, Moe)
Zahid (K), Koomson, Midtsjo, Nguyen (Nike)
              Bendtner, Moe, Shuaibu

Also thinking about maybe switching out Moe? Lots of options in that range.

I'd keep Midtsjo. You probably mean Moa? Yeah,I got in Finne for him. Also thinking about Lindberg down the line. Mortensen is also one to consider. You could then use the cash to do Reginiussen > Hedenstad. Possibly sideways but I don't think it is. Hedenstad looks like he'll get a lot of attacking returns and will be worth the extra. Looks essential amongst defenders along with Ruud.

You can't bench Ryerson as long as he's starting as an attacking midfielder. He was quite good as well from what I've heard.

Finne is an option too, but I would not add another Vålerenga attacker right now even if the fixture is good.

I understand your thinking, but it doesn't really matter how cheap they're if they're delivering. And the important thing is that when you have two cheap strikers you have money in the bank so you can react. If you would have 0 in the bank and two very cheap strikers then upgrading would be trickier. I used that logic when playing my wildcard on FPL and thinking that I need a bit more expensive defence, Bertrand over Yoshida, didn't really work out so far.

Yes, indeed. He might be benched occasionally, but should play most matches I think. He faces competition from Nouri and soon Ari Jonsson for the right back slot. It's him, Braaten and Vega fighting for the 2 places on the wing, and Skålevik and Skaanes might get some game time as well.

My midfield has been a sad story so far. Input appreciated:

              M. Jensen - Njie - Juklerød - Diatta - E. Hussain
Marcus Pedersen - Vilhjalmsson - Lindberg

              Considering going -4:

              Pedersen/Vilhj -> Shuaibu/Bendtner

Then having funds for midfield next week. Thoughts?

Yeah they really gotta go. Matthew seems great value, Barmen had a flying start but never scores unless he's literally at the goalline (like yesterday).

Indeed. But who to choose? Acosta could wind up heading one in, but the man's a walking yellow card. He's pretty gametime secure, though. Rolantsson is basicly a winger, which gives him the upper hand imo
