Our two Premier League cup competitions have reached the last 32 stage – time to take a look at the some of the key Round Five encounters.

Our open-to-all cup’s only former winner, Mark, marches on, after seeing off What Divock?! to set up an encounter with 22,229th-ranked hishamkmr. With a 468 rank, Mark looks the favourite to proceed into the sixth round.

Another manager to draw the short straw and face a top 500 manager is the 21,317-placed Not Much Klopp, who takes on 339-ranked NUFC Fifer -the contest’s highest remaining manager.

Among the other eye-catching ties is the contest between Bake Baines on toast and My Pretty Pony (aka Peter Kouewenberg), who along with Mark is another representative of our live Hall of Fame Top Ten.

Peter’s 817 rank puts him in the driving seat for this encounter, given his opponent is 89,964 places below him.

The full Fifth Round draw can be found here.

At 88th in the world Pukka is the highest-placed remaining competitor in the Members Cup and takes on the 57,394th-ranked rogerbarton in the last 32.

Hana, who is 106 in the world, defeated Fenghh, the conqueror of former winner Trigg in Round Two, and next takes on Choppers13, who is another highly-placed manager, with a rank of 1,242.

Elsewhere, Round Four’s community writers derby saw Kryten emerge victorious over TopMarx. His reward is a match-up with Tramp, who at 70,119 is 53,496 places behind him.

De Ennet, who is 15,780 in the rankings, beat RoysCallerAnne and takes on another community regular in the next round, the 56,691-placed Rossendale Rover.

The full Fifth Round draw can be found here.

There is £350 in Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk vouchers up for grabs for the final top three managers in both tournaments.

Good luck to all those involved and if you would like more information on the schedule and prizes, click this link.

    Valdes, Grant
    Alonso, Vertonghen, Holebas, Yoshida, Amat
Sanchez, Coutinho, Zaha, Son, T Carroll
    Ibra, Lukaku, Benteke

    Is it worth -4 for
    Holebas out
    Bailly in

That gives me 5 DGW players for this gameweek.
I plan on WC next week..

Ake -> MID defender for -4?

Cleans out the dead wood with at least 4pts return.

All options have Valdes - is he fit? Should consider Hennessy instead.

Also, I wouldn't bother with Gabbi this week if you still have your WC.

Oddly, my ML leader lacks all 3 of Hazard, Sanchez, and Zaha (has Pedro and Townsend though). So any of them would make a good differential captain to try to catch up, just have to pick the right one XD

    Valdes - Jakupovic

David Luiz - Valencia - McAuley - Holebas - Naughton

Sanchez - Eriksen - Pedro - Zaha - de Roon

    Ibrahimovic - Lukaku - Gabbiadini

    Maybe Gabbiadini to Negredo?

You got Gabi for a DGW 36 and 37. Sideways to backward step with no WC but fair enough for you.
I think you have a tricky decision for fitting in De Roon if you make the move though.
I would get a DGW defender (PVA Gibson)

A- Mignolet > DDG (already have Valencia who is a rotation risk so I think DDG is a safer bet)

Thanks Mate, having Mignolet is such a headache.

Yep, that's how it goes usually. Foster/Brunt vs Man U come to mind for me. 😉 Lovely points screaming from my bench. Not a great sight. 😉

    (no WC left)

    GW35: Siggy -> Sane
GW36: Ibra -> Gabbiadini (keeping Benteke for Bench boost in GW37)
GW37: Towsend -> Hazard (Bench boost

    Current team:

    Heaton
    Valencia/Gibson/Chambers
    Sanchez/Alli/Siggy/Towsend

I'm looking at Sane from next week with no WC I want to upgrade my 5th midfielder from T.Carroll ready for wk 37.
          So think I will be doing Carroll,Lukaku > Sane,Gabiadini

I'm losing Tadic this week to accommodate DeGea for the rest of the season. Gabbi next week.

      1. GE
        • 9 Years
        8 years, 7 months ago

Ok, not riski to transfer out Tadic with 2 DGW. That was my whole reason to transfer him in. As United has 3 difficult away-matches I'm more tempted to aquire Hazard by downgrade Ibra to Gabbiadini before GW36. What do you think?

        1. The 12th Man
          • 12 Years
          8 years, 7 months ago

I looked at Hazard as well. Dangerous not having him. That move could work. Only way I could get Hazard is to drop Lukaku or Ibra.

Best outcome is him playing well, scoring one at least. Manu up 3-0 by 60'ish minute and Ibra gets subbed off.

I fear the outcome could well be hitting a Jack Daniels bottle for you though.

He was never gonna rise after Kun didn't rise for his double. Silly move with so much at stake tonight. If the game goes to ET, Ibra will have to be stretchered outta the stadium.

He was so fatigued after the EFL Final against Southampton. He's a games back from suspension and is fatigued, he won't play 4 games in the next 10 days

    Bottomed on last page.

Anyone like me chasing an unlikely league deficit and looking at one last throw of the dice to hopefully end the season well? I'm thinking about ditching the high ownership player ls for a team of differentials for the doubles (after this game week).

Anyone care to suggest any decent differentials worth considering? Ozil and Ward Prowse were kindly suggested in the previous page. Any more?

    Who to start?

    A) Siggy (STO)
    B) De Roon (bou, SOT)

And is it worth getting in De Gea this week for a hit? (WC in GW 35)

    1) Yes
    2) No

Probably not overly important who for as I'll WC next week but defence is:

        Heaton, Jaku
        Luiz, Valencia, Gibson, Pieters, Amat

So most likely Jaku in case I decide to keep Heaton.

          I'd just play Jaku

          Siggy.

It is important as Jakupovic has a good fixture, so just play him.

Last season when the FA cup semis came around we didn't get this situation of teams playing the semis and having an EPL fixt in the same GW did we?

Pass. You don't normally have this many good teams with fixture congestion in the semi's though.

If Romero starts tonight, is it good information for DDG owners ?

      Does it really matter?

Still have a free transfer to make, not decided on Bailly/DDG. Medium performance from Romero would be perfect 🙂

He won't start anyways. DDG was only out because of a minor injury against Sunderland.

I hope he starts. That's been the pattern hasn't it? DDG in the league, Romero in Europa.

If it helps, Jose already confirmed Romero will start tonight in his presser yesterday.

United somehow getting knocked out tonight would make this DGW a whole lot easier. Can't see it though.

Do you think players like Valencia or Ibra will play both games in that case ? Swansea as well ?

Yes, because then they'd have to finish in the top 4. But they'll probably go through tonight.

Agree on top4, playing tired players not really the best way to get it though!

Not gonna happen though. Valencia will get rested against Burnley 🙁

The latest team news is from last weekend everyone should be available. Danny Welbeck uncertain, (Shkodran) Mustafi out, that’s it.

"(David) Odspina is out, Lucas Perez is out, they have longer term injuries, Ospina could be back in 10 days."

There's something reassuring about Jack Wilshire delivering Arsenal injury news.

Ordinarily Wellbeck being out would raise the roof as a Sanchez owner but these days...meh.
