Gradually weaned off our double fixture helping and returned to normality, the ScoutCast team take time out to pick through the wreckage of Gameweek 34, before we set our sights firmly on what lies ahead.

Wildcards and Bench Boost chips lodged up their end of season sleeves, Jonty, Andy and Luke join me to embrace another round of community questions.

With the rebuilding programme imminent, we take a look at those shot-term punts who can do a job in Gameweek 35, before weighing up single fixture assets who can possibly hold their own amid the forthcoming circus of Gameweek 37.

And, of course, we carry out our weekly appraisal of Alexis Sanchez, as the Chilean hints at a return form just as an irresistable Eden Hazard closes in.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

And yesterday I was hoping for a clean sheet. 3 baps and 2 save pts from DeGea. What a hero!

Who would have though DeGea vs Valencia, Kun, Sané would see me hold me ML by a single point.

It's all Neil Taylor's fault - if he hadn't broken Coleman's leg I wouldn't have got Valencia would've had enough time to see de Gea was the only nailed on option!

Valencia was always a trap. It was just too convenient..

Yeah that was before it became evident he was prone to rotation unfortunately.

I brought in PVA for Coleman. It was a worse decision but much more exciting none the less. Wish Coleman hadn't got injured thought, I was holding him till the end

So thinking of Siggurdson to Hazard (Haz against Holgate but it will be Sigurdsson against one of the best defences in the league) and Rashford to Gabbi as I will be bringing him in anyway for the DGW and they have Hull at home.

    Yay or nay?

So aside from DeGea, Darmian, Bailly and Blind, no player throughout Boro, Utd or Palace actually benefitted from the double GW (as in scored decent returns in both games).
Same as GW28. Only City and Stoke defenders benefitted from both games.

I was initially looking to wildcard next week, but can get this team with 0 ITB so may pull the trigger early.... Thoughts?

    Cabellero / Pickford
    Alonso / Blind / Gabriel / Holgate / Stephens
    Sanchez / Hazard / Alli / Sane / King
    Kane / Jesus / Gabbiadini

    Cheers.

Who would you fancy to score the most FPL points next gameweek? Money and position don't matter as one of Siggy or Ibra will go and the other on the bench.

    A. Aguero (mid)

    Got Kane(c) and Eriksen fwiw

      That's tricky.

I didn't see the game earlier. Did Jesus come out of the blocks firing on all cylinders? He's unlikely to start / get a full 90, so possibly him. However I'd probably bench Sanchez tbh. I think Spurs will show Arsenal up.

Anyway, please comment my WC team.

Costa is where the cash is lying there, if you having him and Kane plus Sanch, Haz and Erik dificult to free up.

Cech to Cabellero (think Bravo out?) frees some cash

People having multiple teams is a bit of a faux pas on here, a big deal was made out of it when a regular poster admitted to having a second team in a FFS mini-league. That said, I don't care.

Struggling a little to see where all your money has gone. Having a light defence, JWP, King and Anichebe should surely leave you some more change?

I guess if Jesus gets 60+ mins this week, you can always bring him in for Costa and then upgrade Robertson to a City defender, or JWP to Sane. Not having any city in there would worry me.

Everyone taking one week punts before WC36.

Consider this. If you WC'd now, you can save a free next week, then have 2 ft's into 35. Isn't this a safe way to ensure you don't need to take a hit to possible rebalance anything.

If injuries to Ibra, Mané, Gabbiadini, Jesus, Coleman etc etc have taught us anything, it's to have patience. Hope it works out for the GW35 WCers, but will be gutting if 2 or 3 of the template picks injure themselves over the weekend.

Thanks - yeah it's too risky to get Blind but would make having Costa on my WC much easier...

Perhaps, though I don't see any United right back playing both games of GW37, which is ultimately what I want.

        Or a different United defender?

Too many eggs. United won't park the bus like they did tonight.

Siggy likes to make an impression at Old Trafford, maybe this season more than ever 😉

Can I have some advice on my WC team please 🙂 ?

    Cech, Caballero
    Yoshida, Stephens, Kelly, Monreal, Huth
    Coutinho, Hazard, Sanchez, Eriksen, Albrighton
    Kane, Gabbiadini, Benteke

    1,5 million in the bank.

Plan to (C) Benteke this week, then (TC) Sanchez for Arsenal and Southampton DGW (which will also have Cech, Monreal, Yoshida, Stephens and Gabbiadini)

Then bench boost GW37 and hopefully have whole team playing DGW, transfer Benteke to Jesus if he starts firing.

    Thanks 🙂

Not sure about Kelly and I'd want Alonso in there somehow although he is expensive

      Nice team.

If Cech was Pickford could you get CH def?
      Could Cout be Sane?

When you have 6 better options to put armband on , why Benteke?

Burnley will park the bus.... and they are very good at defending in the air from set pieces and from open play.

Part of my WC plan is coming down to

A DDG and a 4.2/3 single week player like Fernadez or Roberson
    B Pickford and Bailly

(Already 'loaded' on Holgate and Stephens)

Too slow to reply. That's it, pretty much my desired team. I might start with Arsenal defender, then switch to Kompany for 37 if he still hasn't injured himself.

Yeah, I'm a full £2mil off this team, and will be further away by the time I WC next week. Costa and Kompany will have to make way on my team.

    DDG
    Alonso, Lovren, Smith
    Hazard, Alli, Firmino, Zaha, Siggy
    Kaku, Benteke

    Jaku, Negredo, Barragan, Gibson
    1FT, 4.0ITB

    Need 1 week pun since I'm WC'ing in 36
    A. Siggy -> King
    B. Negredo -> Vardy (can't afford kane)
    C. other.

think KdB will play? I'm afraid of rotation tho

Valencia rests: this is how I see it:

    SWA: Rested
    celta vigo: plays
    ars: plays
CELTA VIGO (rested if the away result is good, plays if really needed)
    tot: plays
    sou: plays
CPL: rested (if through to the EL final)
    el final: plays

    Pretty much have to decide...
    1) Lukaku still essential? (would free up money ITB)
    2) Load up on DGW players (would have to take a few hits over next couple weeks)

      1. I dont think Lukalu is essensial. More important to have Balance in Your team. If u get in a DGWer for him, like Gabbiadini. And if u can do something With the freed up cash, i think its good.
