We make our way to Stamford Bridge this evening as Chelsea entertain Middlesbrough in the penultimate match of Gameweek 36.

The league leaders boast two of the top five most selected captains – Diego Costa and Eden Hazard have been handed the armband by 10.5% and 6.8% respectively against a Boro defence that’s shipped four goals in each of their last two road trips.

Costa delivered a season-high 16 points in his previous home appearance and is second only to Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus for transfers in up top ahead of the Blues’ Double Gameweek 37 against West Brom and Watford.

Hazard, meanwhile, has served up returns in seven of his previous eight league outings and produced six of nine double-figure returns in front of his own supporters.

Sold by over 144,000 FPL managers after blanking in both Double Gameweek 34 appearances, Alvaro Negredo returned to form with a goal and assist in last week’s 2-2 draw with Man City.

Having found the net in three of his last six matches, the Spaniard looks the likeliest to breach a backline that picked up its first clean sheet in 12 attempts at Goodison Park last time out.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Would you do T. Carroll + Monreal + Daniels --> Fabregas + Olsson + Stephens (-8)?

How many points do you expect Fab to outscore T.Carroll ?

Looking at Stones and Bailly to Monreal and Yoshida. -4

However, I could also strengthen Jaku and/or Robertson to strong double gameweek players (for hits) if I downgrade one of my triple Spurs attack.

Worth considering? Will be bench boosting in 37.

What do we expect from Tottenham now the title is almost up. If they have nothing to play for in their double are they worth keeping?

After last seasons loss to Chelsea they went on to lose to Southampton 2-1 (Son) and Newcastle 5-1 (Lamella). So no goals for Kane and Alli was injured. History seems to show that they will give up. We do at least have the last game at the lane so you would hope they would be up for that? West Ham beat ManU 3-2 in their last game at Upton Park so there was motivation there. But I didn't feel the same from Tottenham considering they are only moving across the road (think that's right?).

Kane is only three goals off Lukaku for golden boot so he still has some motivation. He won it last season.

A lot of us have triple Tottenham or a defender. What are people thinking? I may start to offload...Alli to Silva

It doesn't feel right to start selling - but it might be the right thing to do.

Certainly, triple attack may be too much at this juncture, but choosing who to lose is not easy.

Am considering shipping Alli based on temperament if anything - is he liable to lose his head and get a red?

Having said that, when mentioning this in other posts, nearly every reply has indicated that I would be insane to sell Alli on a double gameweek, so what do I know?

Might well still do it though.....

It's a hard one – I've only got double Spurs (Alli/Kane), and I'm considering moving to Costa (for a hit, even) given his recent form and plum fixtures. Then there's the risk that, with the league won, Chelsea may give the spotlight to younger players and resting some of the regulars... If one can afford it, I'd go KdB for Alli, but I know I can't.

I think they'll ease off the intensity a bit. The emotional letdown of not winning the title combined with an almost-certain second place means there's not much to motivate them. In contrast, Manchester City and Liverpool have it all to play for.

    Morning chaps, gentlemen, fellow 37BBers:

    A) Kane -> Costa for a hit?
    B) Blind -> ? for a hit? Thinking of Ox, actually

    Alonso Daniels Stephens Holgate Blind
    Alli Hazard King Sanchez JWP

Personally, I would be wary of Costa - will he start to play within himself to avoid an injury that might risk his move to China?

Ox is classed as a midfielder, so not a replacement for Blind. Reckon Blind may get 1 game, in which case it may be worth taking a hit to bring in a dgw player.

Cheers! Right, valid points there. Besides, the golden boot factor should be proper motivation for Kane to deliver at least one return.

I also see Blind getting 1 game max, so who's the best replacement?

Gabriel fits the budget, but is gametime risk.
Kompany would be great, but then I'd have to take another hit to get him in (dropping sanchez for KdB).

        Fuchs?

The more I think about taking hits for DGW 37, the more I feel it's unlikely for any big hitters to return points.

KDB - Blank 4 in the last 8 games with two double-digit matches.
Sane - Blank 4 in the last 8 game with average of 3.8 points per game.
Hazard - Title should be won by first match, so rotation is quite possible.
Sanchez - I have him now. If I don't have him, I would be hesitate to buy unless he shows some form on Thu.
Costa - Did he wave good bye last night ?
Kane - Will Spurs deflate? Tough fixtures too.

KDB looks best to bet so far.

Valid points there, mate. Agree that KdB is the standout option – if there's an assist to a MCI goal, chances are that his name is on it. On the other hand, if you can take a hit by getting a DGWer for a SGWer, it will sort of be a -2 additional transfer (if they both blank). A lot of ifs and buts in this game...

Reconsidering taking a hit for Costa now after your post 😉

Some players have a lot to play for.
KDB, Sane and Jesus all have a lot to motivate them. Pep has been talking for a while about really dominating sides like Barcelona used to, so I think he wants to see some tallies of 5, 6 or 7 goals in a game.
Costa still has a shot at the Golden Boot and would love this accolade before he begins to hang up boots and takes a retirement package in China.
Sanchez is on the market, so the more fantastically he plays, the more amazing his compensation deal can become. He'd love a 3 or 4 goal haul.
Kane and Hazard may deflate, since both are confidence players and play worse when there's less to play for.

Could the Golden Boot factor keep Kane motivated too ? He's on 21 while Costa still 20.

Lukaku is leading at 24 with favourable home fixture vs Watford, but both Kane & Costa have one extra game.

By your analysis, it sounds like Haz -> KDB is probably worth to consider.

I don't think Kane ever lacks in motivation. But it's his supply line that I'm more worried about.

Haz -> KDB seems solid (avoids rotations issues), though I have a funny feeling Sane is going to do well too.

sanchez seems more frustate lately rather than motivated 😀

i dont think he has extra motivation due to market factor, coz many clubs chasing him... it's just his personality to always try his best in every game.... sadly wenger didnt put him in his best position.

cant see many goals from him im afraid 🙁

plus kun will be back, bad news for KDB coz he'll be placed wide again, or rotated with sterling or silva

    Blind Carroll Gabbi to:
    1. Stephens Albrighton Costa -8
    2. Stephens Sane Welbeck -8
    or
    Blind Carroll to:
    A. Sane Fuchs -4
    B. Pedro Toby -4
    C. Silva Stephens -4

I think there's rotation risk after the title is one. I'd feel better about a captain from a team with everything to play for, like Manchester City, Liverpool, or Arsenal, or maybe even Swansea.

A Keep and hope plays 1 game
    B Bertrand
    C Huth
    D Mustafi
    E Who else?

Morning all. Still holding Rashford having used my wildcard early.onky 0.1 the bank, playing BB next week. There are no good options for a hit are there? I could get Anichebe, but surely not worth a -4? I could downgrade Ericsson to free up some cash, but then it's a -8. Already have Jesus. Best sticking and hoping to get lucky with a goal in a late sub appearance across the 2 games?

I'm keeping Rashford too for the same reason. I think he'll get plenty of minutes and Tottenham most likely will be deflated on Sunday after losing the title.

What would you do with this I have 1ft and 5.8 it and I'm on bench boost.

    Heaton Jakupovic
    McAuley Davies Cédric Stephens Wasilewski
    Hazard Alli Coutinio Sane Davies
    Gabbiadini Jesus Kane

    My plan was

McAuley to Cahil or Azpi and Gabi to Costa for -4

But Arsenals fixtures and KDB's performance made me think

Coutiniho to Sanchez, Sane to KDB and McAully to Smith or other 4.6 defender for -8

Or Coutiniho to Sanchez and McAuley to Alonso for -4 that would leave me .6 so I could maybe upgrade Wasilewski to someone that will play, not sure if there's anyone at 4.5 worth a 4 point hit though

I think it's worth the -8. With a DGW and BB you'll most likely score in triple figures, so the hits won't look like much. Sanchez or KDB could explode, though keeping Sane isn't a bad option either.

Wouldn't take a hit for Sanchez looking at his current form & mindset. Would definitely NOT take a hit to replace Sane with KdB... Maybe:

      Cout to KdB
      Wasilewski or McAuley to Alonso

      Good luck mate

Maybe, maybe not 🙂 They have everything to play for and decent fixtures, so the frame is there. I guess you just have to find out how much you want KdB, and who is worth sacrificing for him. Coutinho could of course put on a blazing display to make a Barcelona move more likely, but... I'd happily transfer him out for KdB.

If you only had Hazard as I do for Chelsea, would you consider taking a hit for anymore of their assets?. Alonso for example or do you think to risky
