Hmm Shotton on 4 now. Need Drenthe not to play by the looks of it.

Cup opponent is on 47, I'm on 38.

    Have BAE, Bale (C), Adebayor

    Jagielka 0 points, Drenthe

    to play, he has none.

Drenthe not playing would mean I only need 5 from the Spurs players.

I would usually say I should be good, but the past 3 gameweeks have been horrendous.

Extermely unlucky is how I go.

The Jones o.g. last night was a killer, plus he had bloody Krul in goal.

I thought my "gamble" on Vorm away had paid off, with Krul on bench but the assist again on the Jones o.g. was a killer.

Nah, I don't have him and I won't bother buying him either.

I think Nani mainly looks good when the team in general is good, I don't trust him at all to be the one turning things around. If they turn it on and win 5-0 I'll just have to take it.

I was so worried last night before the game about not having Nani, but as soon as I saw him mess up a few times I knew he wasn't going to do anything.

🙂 I thought we looked a bit tired against West Brom to be honest, it was our most flat performance of the season and we play Everton 3 days before Wolves. I feel more relieved than happy that Bale got 9 points, on another day it could have been 2. I just can't see anything other than a comfortable win for United agains Bolton, surely they're not going to lose 3 in a row...

Its not that surprising that Vorm got nothing and Krul got 1 is it? All it indicates is that Vorm had a lower rating than others on the pitch, which not having made a huge amount of saves makes sense.

The Krul assist must have given him a good jump ahead of the pack with the cleanie already giving him a good base value.

God I hate this bonus system. Ramsey gets 3 baps on the losing team. Silva gets none. Walker gets bonus over BAE even though Granville says that this is blatantly wrong as it goes against the PPI thingy. They have so much time to get them right. Bring back last season's system, all is forgiven!

BAE over Walker doesn't go against any 'PPI thingy' - it goes against some of the Opta stats that clearly don't have a large weighting in the actual PPI stats.
Ramsey had good stats and was seriously immense the entire game, best on ground along with Koscielny imo, even though Arsenal lost.

15points behind in my cup match and he has no Spurs or Everton players! Hopefully I’ll be OK but thought it would have been a breeze.

Sold Sess and Ba about three weeks ago in a double transfer (free), for Moses and Rooney ahead of Rooney’s tasty run and before the appointment of MON. That turned out well hasn’t it!! I thought it was a pretty good call at the time. Hindsight eh?

Now Raylor looks nailed on to play a few games. Hmm. I didn’t think he was first choice anymore, was only playing due to the injury to Santon a couple of weeks back. He was a liability at Anfield and got the hook at half time, I thought his time was done. Also, Vuckic got the nod ahead of him when Cabaye was suspended a couple of weeks ago so that was another reason to ditch as I didn’t think he’d start when Tiote left for the ACON either. I thought that was a good transfer out too but like I said, hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Haven’t done very well these last few weeks on the transfer front!! Scores have been average and ranking has kinda stayed in the same ball park. Just frustrating because I think they were the right calls to make at the time and with the evidence I was seeing before me.

    I took 12 points hit to field 5 DGW players. Current score 54 less 12 = 42

My opponent (ranked 10,000s) for the Cup made no transfers for a total of 46 points.

Therefore, I am 4 points behind.

With TOT vs EVE, I have Ade (c), Bale, BAE, Osman, Howard. He has only Bale.

I think I should be through to the next round, right?

its pretty much guarenteed. you both have bale so that cancels out meaning you have ade (c), bae, osman and howard and he has 4 pts. if they all just started you'd have 2+1+1+1 which is 5 so you go through

    Hi,
Any opinions on what to do with Nani and Rooney? I’ve got both and I can see them both dropping in value after last night and the last few weeks.

I didn’t see the game last night – how did they do? Any danger of them getting dropped for the next PL game?

I don’t really want to get rid before they play Bolton at home but…

Looks pretty good to me. On the bracketed players (which seem to be your main areas of doubt):

Sorensen - think he's a good value. Slight risk Begovic get his place back but seems to be diminishing.
Richards - Kompany safer at the moment
Smalling - provided Evans gets his place back once fit (I think he will) I think Evans will be better value. Actually started to look a bit more of a threat at corners last time I saw him as well.
Moses - I would go for him over Ben Arfa as BA doesn't seem 100% in favour. I imagine Moses was just rested.
Sturridge - I'm not convinced by Sturridge. I would go Yak for now.

        Missed one...
Shotton - again seems good value although he is a risk once Wilkinson is back fit. Caulker also a good cheapo although Swansea have got a poor run of fixtures coming up. Other option might be Senderos / Kelly from Fulham.

Hey MJ...thanks very much for taking the time...cheers man. I think you may be right on Sorensen, he has generally played very well since winning his place back and if you put a gun to my head I think he is no.1 for the forseeable...yep, leaning towards Kompany as he is increasingly integral to City's defence...again tend to agree with evans offering better value than smalling too...not sure over HBA or Moses...ben arfa is a fantastically talented player and with Ba missing, he must get his chance...Newcastle fans are desperate for him to play a greater role...easy to switch to moses otherwise. agree that Shotton isn't a starting fixture in the team yet, will take a look at Fulham...i'm thinking Gibbs longer term....thanks for analysis MJ...you played your wildcard yet or got any ideas?

Can't be looking at last season all the time though. Things change, and team chemistry changes. I wouldn't touch people like Bent and Baines these days. Over inflated price and not a lot of attacking output. Much better options for cheaper

Its a fugger I know.. maybe I'm hoping in vain he'll get more mins with Suarez out and Carroll ineffective.
