Scout Notes on today’s FA Cup action will be heading your way tomorrow, for now, we thought we’d bring you word that, as we did in January last season, we’ll be introducing a half-season membership. The price of membership to Fantasy Football Scout will drop from £15 to £10 for the remainder of the season on Monday.

This half season offer will give access to the Members Area, Members Ticker and Members articles, right up until June 1 and arrives in time for those still pondering their January wildcard selections.

We’re currently working on updated Player Projections that will offer our view on the players for the remaining 18 gameweeks. We’re also producing some FAQ based tutorials that will help new and existing members get the most from the Members area and tools. We expect both to be published early next week to coincide with the half-season offer. Click here for details on the benefits available to Members.

Coverage on the Scout gets back to normal next week after the busy holiday programme, with our usual regulars making reappearance. We’re also unveiling a new guest writer who will be contributing members and non-members articles for the remainder of the season. With at least two new writers to be announced from the recent “Scouting for Writers” article, the next few weeks should see plenty of progress. More on that next week.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

An interesting sh!t stirring stat: KKK has only ever signed one black player in his 20 odd years in club management (John Barnes twice)

Yep but there was no shortage of black players in the rest of teams in '95

Come to think of it, Liverpool must have significantly less than any other premiership squad. I can only think of Johnson since Babbel and N'Gog are both gone now. 🙂

      An Uncle Barnes?

Oh and does Kenny even have a middle initial beginning with "K" if not, then that's pretty lame.

Even so, are you insinuating something more untoward concerning Suarez and or the environment?

            Oh wow.

I don't know about his (kenny's) preference or comfort zone around people of color, but I'm beginning to suspect a strong zeno-preference in his teamsheets when the same workrate/clinical Kuyt is turned into a bench player over a Henderson, and a Downing gets run over Maxi. And Acquilani gets the boots and goes right into a starting role on CL Italian squad. He was almost single-handedly responsible for the continued English player inflation.

    Now:

    Al-Habsi – Westwood
Kompany – Woodgate – Jose Enrique – Warnock – Smalling
    Silva – Mata – Sessegnon – Moses – Brunt
    RVP – Adebayor – Sturridge

    After WC:

    1.
    Al-Habsi – Mignolet
Kompany – Woodgate – Clark – Phil Jones – Shorey
    Silva – Mata – Sessegnon – Moses – Cabaye
    RVP – Adebayor – Agbonlahor

    or

    2.
    Al-Habsi – Mignolet
    Kompany – Woodgate – Clark – Shorey – G. Cahill
    Silva – Mata – Sessegnon – Moses – Bale
    RVP – Sturridge – Agbonlahor

    ?

what do u think ? any other ideas or suggestions?
I also considering players like Ben Arfa (only 5.4 mln) or maybe Nani replacing Silva

    5 points + BAE or

A Spurs cleanie would mean 5 points vs VDV & Hibbert so I should win, but the way the last few weeks have gone i'm not even that confident.

Any thoughts on best team please

    A
    Lindegaard, Vorm
    Kompany, Enrique, RTaylor, Kelly, Evans
    Silva, Nani, Bale, Walters, Sess,
    Van P, Sturridge, Ade
    B
    Mignolet, Vorm
    Kompany, Enrique, Williamson, Kelly, McCauley
    Silva, Nani, Bale, Walters, McClean
    Van P, Sturridge, Aguero

Basically, slightly weaker defence and midfield in B but stronger forward line. In my Opinion. Any takers?

Pros and Cons: Kelly vs Senderos.

Kelly +faster +perhaps more likely to get assists +luck of the Irish -may be rotated with Baird
Senderos +more established in the first team +speaks six different languages +slightly more of goal threat from set pieces -fugly

    Thoughts on this wc team

    Soronsen/Stockdale(until Schwarzer fit)
    Brown/Williamson/Shotton/Kompany/Senderos
    Bale/Silva/Dempsey ____ ____
    Rvp/Aguero/Yakubu

Have 13.1 in the bank, any ideas who to fill in the blanks?
    Thanks 🙂

Not sure about having Shotton and Lescott - both rotation risks. Swapping Sess/Walters out for someone like Ben Arfa would open up Kompany/Richards perhaps? Alternatively may want to consider Caulker instead of Shotton

The only problem you might have is the rotation. It may well be a 4:1 rote. If so, look to change one of them in 4 or 5 games time for someone like Evans, for instance.

Gameweeks 23 - 28 are problematic in that regard. Otherwise it's 2+2 for the cheapies. May well give it a bit more thought.

Between 23-26, it's a 4:1 rote. Things pick up in 29 though, where it looks to be mostly 3:2 which is as good as you can pretty much get.

The rotation worked better when I had Caulker not McAuley. But I don't want to double on Swans any more, and I can't find a replacement for Vorm.

I'm in exactly the same position and removed Naylor. The one plus side is that there will not be much tinkering needed with the front 8 so you can bring defs in and out as you please pretty much.

The only slight worry is the League Cup Final (gw 26) - but hopefully if Man City get there, the Blackburn match will be rescheduled for the same gameweek (following midweek), as it's one of the few around that time without Europa scheduled.

        what is ur Santon fixation?

He is unproven in the prem, bad injury record and not guaranteed gametime. Simpson and Williamson are both better options.

      Ruddy->Krul

Clark, Santon, Cahill - boot, boot, boot.

Not convinced by HBA. The rest in midpark are good though.

Oddthing or Studge need to be Ade.

Cahill only if on Chelski. Santon to Senderos. Keeping Clark as OOP.

          Cahill - far too risky.
          Senderos, check.
Clark, what's he done to merit inclusion? Sounds kneejerkery imo.

He'll rarely play, but wandering in midfield and scored again today in FA Cup. No real risk, only upside
