With the elongated Gameweek 20 finally sewn up, it’s time to look ahead to the weekend action. For eight fantasy managers, that means Quarter-Final time in the Paddy Power Cup V. Having battled through eight stages, they are just one win away from the prize-winning games. Here is the line-up…

At the time of writing, first out of the hat Sc8tt26 is the highest-ranked fantasy manager left, and is the only one in the top 1000 overall. If he’s considered the top-seed, then he’s been drawn against the second in Funkyav. Was it not for an abysmal Gameweek 20 score, the tables would be turned and Funkyav would be the man to beat.

Declan faces-off against Raasclart, whilst the last round’s top-scorer, CSKA AWFUL, takes on sleepingmaster. Finally, having reached the Quarters by the skin of his teeth, ChickenDevil comes up against soulman27.

I’m sure you’ll all join me in wishing our Quarter-Finalists the best of luck. I’ll bring you the results shortly after the Gameweek has concluded.

    I'm trying to save my wc until after gw23, but this Silva thing is making my plan

    I was thinking to keep spurs trio for home game against wigan and hope they

        s'ok.....Anorak may be able to clarify this, but my understanding is that the bar rose after Jan 1 from 5 yellows to 10 yellows for a suspension.

    I’m on my WC this week and was initially thinking of bringing in Richards and Caulker. But after last nights performance from BAE, I was thinking of keeping him in my team and bringing Clichy in instead. Does anyone know how nailed on is Clichy for City? And is it worth keeping BAE as his fixtures start worsening in the next few GK’s.

      I'd suggest keeping BAE until after the Wigan game, lose him and use the funds towards bringing Richards then.

      You'd expect Kompany's absence will have some effect on City's defence in that time anyway.

      his place is at risk with kolarov depending on the type of game, but he'll play most games...true BAE's fixtures do start worsening but he's the kinda player that can pull an assist here and there, and they showed last night that they keep clean sheets without King...

    Morning,
    My teams looking horrible, and would really appreciate some advice. Looking at some of the wildcard teams makes it look even worse, but I dont want to Wildcard until the final week. I think the Wildcard teams in that week will be quite different from the ones people are choosing now, and it could be a greater advantage waiting till then.

    Enrique BAE Evans Simpson (Kompany)
    Silva Bale Nani (Drenthe Moses)
    RVP Adebayor Yakubu

    Players potentialy want to shift Adebayor, Drenthe and possibly Silva if injured.
    Any ideas? I have 2.9 million in bank and only one FT. Thanks.

      I don't think it looks that bad. Keep Ade for Wolves and Drenthe for Villa, especially if he's on your bench anyway...

      Depending on how much you'd make selling Silva and how much it would cost you to get him back, maybe take a short term punt on Gerrard or somebody. You can easily use your Wildcard to get rid if it doesn't work out in a couple of weeks.

        Thanks was thinking about doing Drenthe to Valencia or Dempsey, incase Evans doesnt play, although Moyes must start Drenthe against Villa surely!!!

        Doosra what ya reckon Dempsey or Valencia??? Advice on here is telling me Dempsey, but my head is saying Valencia against Bolton even though I still have Nani.

          both will score roughly similar points, dempsey arguably more since he's the shining beacon at fulham...but he's priced that way

          valencia has surprised me with his consistency in recent weeks though
