The final countdown has begun with the new season kick-off now less than 24-hours away.

Earlier the week the ScoutCast grew gathered as the clock ticked down, with Jonty, Andy and Luke joining myself to tackle a raft of perfectly targeted questions from you – the community.

Each of us take turns to reveal our current line-ups, while the collection of queries allowed us to put each of the four positions under the microscope. On occasions, we even broke from the ScoutCast tradition to provide some definitive answers.

Pre-season gremlins struck as I dropped out in full flow on Paul Pogba, but I managed to return to steer the ship towards its final destination – the first weekend preview of the new campaign.

It’s good to be back.

    Leaning towards safety of start as a huge factor too.

    I am almost giving up on Cedric.

    Heard Spurs made a bid and he is not 100% nailed to start with Pied in the mix.

    Current issues...

    A. Foster + Elliot, or Foster + Myhill?
    B. Best Soton defender to get. I'd rather Cedric but not sure of him game time.

    The defenders is the main thing I can't decide but can easily be changed for the defender of the week. Danilo can take Trippiers place for now too. I had Valencia in for Jones but it means dropping Foster for Forster and Bellerin for a sh!tter. Still gives me a Forster, Valencia, Denilo, Yoshida defence.

    Am I stupid going with two ManUtd defenders and rotating 4,5 mids? Would love some advice.

    Other option is to downgrade Bailly to a 4,5 defender that rotates with Mee and upgrade RLC to Ritchie, what do you guys think?

      yes. your DEF is way too expensive. downgrade valencia and upgrade rlc

      I'd go with the downgrade. If RLC doesn't get regular starts there aren't many options at his price point.
