Two Gameweeks down and already the dilemmas are building; the siren song of the Wildcard button is calling.

Failing big hitters are the major bone of contention as Jonty, Andy and Luke join me for the second ScoutCast of the season.

We give our verdicts on Spurs talisman Harry Kane, while also assessing the fall-out from Manchester City and, in particular, the shot-shy Kevin De Bruyne.

Driven by another round of community questions, we also chew over The Pogba vs Mkhitaryan debate and the big Bournemouth bail out, before previewing Gameweek 3.

Oh, and after his ten point return on the Aaron Mooy investment, we wrestle to prevent Jonty dropping his name into the conversation at every opportunity. I think I counted two. That’s a win for everyone involved.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link on the first player below, or take in the full visual experience via the second player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    C. Jesus & Ramsey > Lukaku & Mooy (-4)
    D. Wait a week for Lukaku

    Anything worth a hit ?

    Foster ( Elliot )

    PVA - Stephens - Dawson ( Daniels, Long )

    KDB - Mane - Willian - Atsu ( Carroll )

    Kane (C) - Lukaku (VC) - Gabbiadini

How much ITB? I'd hold this week, nothing obvious hit worthy, although maybe Jones or Trippier in as 4 points should pay off long term.

Tempted by Stephens to Trippier or Jones (0FT, £0.4m itb)

not reasonable value especially since hes more expensive this year and last year he scored almost all his points when Kane was injured. He played as a false 9
obviously he scored a lot. hes played less than 60 minutes in 2 games now and has had 1 point in each game. doesnt it
make more sense to put him in the team when he has a higher chance of playing? duh

there's no need to be rude, and it makes you look pretty silly when you're wrong

          Heung-Min-Son when Kane Injured

          Goals per Game .50
          Assists per Game .125

Heung-Min-Son when Kane Injured Kane fit

          Goals per game .38
          Assists per game .50

He didn't score 'almost all of his points' of his points when Kane was injured at all. There's really not much in it

            • 11 Years

sorry for being rude but putting Son in when hes probably going to play no more than 30 minutes in a game, and paying 8 million for him when you have similar prices such as Pogba, Mkhi, Jese, strikers up front like chicharito or premium defenders like Alonso instead? yeah its an absolute waste of money

I have 1FT and team hasnt been great last two weeks, please any suggestions to get back up my cash league? Was thinking on getting in Silva or Erisken, and Mounie has been terrible since the first game, any suggestions thanks so much.

    Current team:
    Foster (Elliott)
    Daniels Kola Stephens (Suttner) (Long)
    KDB Sane Mhki Atsu (Carroll)
    Lukaku Kane Mounie

Mounie is averaging a goal a game, how is that terrible? The obvious is KdB to Erik, although city have a decent game this weekend

wasnt great against a poor newcastle side last sunday, loosing faith in him, was thinkin on KDB + Daniels > Eriksen/ Silva + Hegazi (-4)

I watched the game and was quite impressed, he was constantly in the six yard box, all the set pieces were aimed at him and he nearly got on the end of a couple. I would stick with him while the fixtures are good.

I think Sane would be my priority. Lots of value in that 7.5-8.2 range that offers better value and more game time then Sane.

    Best Zaha replacement?

    A) Jesé - plays advanced, great stats on debut (against a decent team in ARS), but tough short term fixtures.

    B) Phillips - great fixtures, on some set pieces, but has minimal goal threat

    C) Richarlison - good stats and goal threat, but tough fixtures after this week

    D) Tadic - good stats and fixtures and on pens, but often flatters to deceive

I did it. I could have gambled in KdB not falling tonight, but I still see it as a risky move.
I would keep Jesus in your situation (cause already lost value) and weigh the risk on not trading KdB tonight. It's a risk, think of whether you are willing to take it or not. KdB -> Mane is a safe move, even for a hit. I regret doing KdB -> Eriksen, instead, I must admit.
