It seems that every Fantasy Football manager in the land is seeking counsel.

Sergio Aguero’s 20-points has caused joy and consternation – mainly the latter – and we’re all in need of reassurance and solutions.

The ScoutCast crew are no different.

Granville, Jonty, Andy and Az join me in searching for answers, thankful for the opportunity to bounce ideas and opinion.

Contrary to popular thinking, among the noise and chatter, we do arrive at a tentative conclusion.

All but one of us are willing to bend to Sergio’s surge in points and popularity or fall for Pep’s potential plot. We’re abstaining on the Aguero option for now and, over this 90 minutes, we’ll tell you just why.

Aguero dominates, but we have ample time to entertain other community questions, discussing Harry Kane’s latest failings, the premium defenders that warrant our trust and our cash, while Jonty is itching to take us through his handpicked bonus magnet XI.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday night. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link on the first player below, or take in the full visual experience via the second player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Would Vardy fit this saturday? I wanna bring him in but really really in worry

A could be good, but I don't really like Brady, Gross maybe

Hopefully Vardy will be fit, awaiting team news. If he is, there are great fixtures ahead.

Gross is on form but I reckon Knockheart will outscore him sooner or later. Brady's set pieces could be crucial (fingers crossed).

For those who doesn't own Kun, who is your captain this week?

In brainstorming between Kane and Kaku
or maybe I should sell one of them to bring Kun?

I'd go Kane, or Salah (if you have Salah).

This Kun V Kane captain choice is weird

Kun at home in a team who have scored most this season coming off a hat trick - playing the team with most conceded. No brainer until scoutcast and can't get 6 of 25 goals last year were at home. A pretty scary stat.
    Overthinking it - go Kun

Kane all the underlying stats and has hit the woodwork 2 or 3 times. Hammers no great shakes and Spurs look better away from hope. But may have enough Kane C pain already this season.

    Help.

I told you my Kane captaincy stats in the previous page so you know my advice 😉

Having said that, it might be a great time for you to go Kane since I'm going with Kun!

He was great for me end of last season - horrible this season. Think I might be trying to be too smart going Kane when Kun is obvious.
15-20 each would be nice 🙂

Yeah I had him for the end of last season but the armband was always on Alexis. I miss those days of not worrying about the captain call - this season I'm overthinking everything.

Thanks all think I will risk Kane.
For flups sake hammers had only 1 home game so far this year a 2-0 win against HUD - not much insight to be gained from that.

Have you checked H2H Whu v Spurs?

I have Kane but I'm thinking to buy Aguero.

Do you think Alli could be back up for Spurs if I sold Kane?

I have still got Erik as well.
If you got other decent captain options then it's probably ok to go without Kane.

Ok Kane was injured for some of last season but Erik out scored him on FPL and is cheaper so yeah maybe.
I am too afraid to lose either but it will happen when fixtures change in GW9. One will have to go I think.

Wish i had the balls to go for such a strong back 5. If I did with all the attack options I would go 523
Or at least a better second striker in 523.

You could have a great diff team there and I hope you are ahead of the rest of us with those mid picks. GL

its a good shout too, just depeneds who you want, I feel like haz and cout will be certainties in 40% teams in a few weeks when they get going. then erikson is just a boss, could easily drop haz for jesus/morata though and it would work just fine

Yeah of course - in all seriousness, it looks good to me, though can't work out the favoured formation. On the one hand it's great to have 15 nailed on players, on the other hand a couple of downgrades here and there and Monreal can become Kolasinac for example.

Prob best to avoid Everton for now to see if their form picks up as their fixtures now do. So the latter. Vardy has a good run now too.

I think you will need Morata and Hazard fairly soon but if you can plan for that - then it's fine.

Swansea are doing ok but GK and a defender?
A Ritchie downgrade and another 4.0 keeper could facilitate a Vardy upgrade?

B - Kane looks good and is trying so hard probably too hard.
Lukaku looks awful but keeps delivering as I see His luck has got to run out sooner or later and fixture turn a week or two before Spurs.

The reason why i wanted A over B that ... Lukaku(c) vs Crystal (H) could hurt with his ownership !?
Also Eriksen/Alli are much better than mkhiteryan

Lots of drafts, not sure yet. Probably something like

      Elliot - Woodman
      Kolasinac - Davies - 4.5 - whoever drops to 4.4/Martina - 3.9
      Salah - Silva/Mkhi - someone under 6 - Atsu - RLC
      Aguero - Kane - Lukaku

Can't be more specific than that at the moment, too many different drafts. I might even double up on Aguero and Jesus and drop Lukaku :O

Also part of me wants to take a punt on someone like Hazard.

It's a risk if I decide to go with 2 budget midfielders instead of more balance, but would give me time to assess the premium striker situation for a few gameweeks.

Haha, you have no idea atm do you! Feels good to be settled on a squad after much deliberation!
The problem with the big front 3 is that you would need to include riks players in your squad inc. a non-playing defender by the looks of it. I'd think about this as we will need to utilise our full squads this season I reckon?

You may be right. Mbemba is the best I can do probably and hope he plays, but I'm not going higher than 4.0 for my 5th defender. Alternatively I can just go cheaper all across the defence but I don't want to sacrifice Kolasinac and Davies, they were the first names on the team sheet along with Aguero and Salah.

Just bought Kane last week and he didn't give any good sign, he only got 1 Bonus Point System.
Since I have Alli for Spurs back up, is it okay to swap Kane to Aguero? or I have to sell Alli and keep Kane to bring Aguero.

      What are the options.
Davis looks a good player but 10 goals in 170 for the saints. You are not getting much for your buck. I would go for a 6.5 or 6 defender instead. Surely Someone like Kola has more points potential?

      1. RIDZ
        • 9 Years
        8 years, 2 months ago

I already have Kola, I'm not on WC but I sell Alli to get Aguero and I just have 6.1 for mid.

For that kind of budget, I'm considering in fixtures rather than form. Everton, Soton, Swansea are good choice for now. I'm not interest in Brady, Richarlison, Choupo, their fixtures are awful.

Chicharito out for -4? If so who would be his best replacement? £9.0m to spend

Vardy, if fit. Firmino, if not.

Hmm.. Toying around with the idea of Firm > Vardy...

(Have decided too much hassle to force in any City atm)

    Mhki Alli Ritchie Chopo
    Kane Morata Firm

        Bloody good points!?

Just thinking Firm dropping back going to be wasted in my front line.

Stay as your are. Firmino was flavor of the month two weeks ago. Gawd knows why anyone would want to boot him.

What is the main reason for keeping Kane if you have Erik/Alli for Spurs back up?

I haven't seen any match of Kane and I can't rate him how he plays. Is he really threatening? Or just waiting for passes with minimum shoots on goal?

I saw him only against Burnley but statistically, he has maximum shots in league till now...

Quality of those shots are probably meh...

He's had the most shots out of all the players so far this season. Confidence is still there, the goals will come.

No other player has as much goal threat as Kane.

If you don't have him, you will only get hurt.
