We roll out our usual post-Gameweek delve into the members’ Opta data next, assessing some of the standout candidates over the weekend’s action.

Midfielders from Leicester, Liverpool and Stoke are among our Gameweek 11 headliners, as are Swansea and Brighton’s budget strikers, while we also analyse Romelu Lukaku’s recent decline in output as the transfers out continue.

Mane. I'd really like to have both but can't afford it. Yet. Lallana might be an interesting alternative if
      a) he can get fit
      b) he can cement a place in the starting X1. When he's on form he's a very good player.

Mané or Couts both great options. At 0.4/5 saving I'd have Couts if fit. Bap monster and likely to score 10-15 goals a seaso on top of assisting for fun.

Is it worth burning a transfer on Jesus to Aguero or are we just running from one problem to another?

Kun is the main man but probably need to see out the Champions League matches before we really know. If City have won their ECL mini league I'd expect Aguero to start most EPL matches from then onward.

In order to improve your bench players, which one of Kane Aguero Morata would you downgrade to a Vardy or Firmino?

    1. Essem
      • 8 Years

Morata. I’m trying to get Aguero in now so I can have Aguero, Kane, Vardy.

    2. Pep says
      • 10 Years

Aguerro for me cause the other 2 are nailed and you can just get 2 City mids for cheaper and if one gets benched it's easier to deal it.

I wouldn't have either of those 2 in my team though, much better value in midfield at that price, and no value in midfield at 5m (maybe Fernandino or Bakayoko) so for me Niasse/CL & Sané is much better value than Vardy/Firm and a 5.5m mid

It's nothing like this website issuing weekly articles, which mainly are only relevant to the gw at hand and then become redundant.

Its more the methods of playing the game. They do interviews with FPL managers (good ones) and provide very good statistics.

Its a good read. Tipped Murray at the start to be the best striker option from the promoted teams and the guys who write it are pretty good managers aswell.

I was sceptical at first but it's a good read. They do well to keep it relevant, long term strategies and interviews with good managers and even fpl playing footballer (like Begovic) so that it's not outdated as soon as you buy it!

Sturridge and David Luiz —> Aguero and Dunk (-8)?

I can’t afford this if Aguero’s price increases, but ideally I wanna wait until after the deadline and do a (-4) instead. With Aguero scoring more than Kane with less minutes I feel he is one of the best players to have.

And yes, I do have Sturridge. Everything Klopp said pointed towards him starting last week :/

    1. Pep says
      • 10 Years
      8 years, 1 month ago

Have you already taken a -4? Making 4 transfers (with one free trabsfer) is asking for big trouble before an international game has even kicked off

      1. Essem
        • 8 Years
        8 years, 1 month ago

Already used a free transfer to get Jones before he gets injured during the IB :). So these two transfers (Dunk and Aguero) would mean (-8). Hopefully Aguero won’t rise anytime soon so I can postpone as long as possible.

        1. Pep says
          • 10 Years
          8 years, 1 month ago

Sorry dunno where I came up with a 4th transfer..

Aguerro is only on +42 on FPLS so I wouldn't be making it until he looks certain to rise.

Today is Wednesday, the weekend transfers will ease to a snails pace until next Thursday and then pick up again so I wouldn't do anything until you know they're fit.

            • 8 Years
            8 years, 1 month ago

Thanks! Yeah that’s what I was thinking. I’m just not sure if I should do (-8) at the end of next week if his price looks certain to rise before the deadline. Think I might have to though...

    Elliot
    Jones Mee Naughton
    Silva Sterling Salah RLC
    Kane Lukaku Morata

    Foster Cedric Mbemba Chalobah

    A) Cedric -> Daniels (play instead of RLC)
    B) Cedric -> Moreno (play instead of RLC)
    C) Foster -> Pope (play instead of Elliot)
    D) Chalobah -> Nailed mid
    E) Save FT

Could do Pope, that transfer should pay off nicely

Rafa dropping Clark shot me in the foot with that plan back in gw8 when I WC'd

I'm looking to save a ft next week and decide whether or not to go 3 big up front or have an extra premium midfielder and Azpi in defence so I'm unsure at the moment but happy enough to wait it out and see

Usually wouldnt take many hits on defenders but is this -8 worth it until the new year?

Cedric, Kola, Davies -> Azpi, Daniels, Mee ?

    Fabianski
    Azpi Bellerin Mee Jones
    Salah Richarlison Silva Sterling
    Kane Lukaku

    Subs: Elliot RLC Quaner Mbemba

Have 1 FT with 1.1mn ITB. Which option is better?

Arsenal have some 'guaranteed' cleanies upcoming so, if you can afford to bench Bellerin then could be a good gamble. Plus his attacking stats are nice.

Mbemba to Francis I like but, he's on 3 YCs.

It's true though. Someone on here said they will just take the 6 points DeGea will score and put the arm band on him as he was guaranteed a clean sheet.

Moral of the story..... nothing is what it seems in football.

      Jones and Sané possibly

      Fernandinho, very slight chance

But if you haven't got these players already you're not going to gain sell value on them now

Is, the comparison of Daniels (4.8) & Francis (4.4) synonymous with, Ward (4.8) & Lowton (4.5)?

Daniel has more 'goal threat'. If he acts on those threats then he may be worth it.

Daniels is surely worth the extra. He is practically an attacking winger in an attacking team.
Ward may not worth IMO as it is the team defense that we rely on.

How do you arrive at him being a "winger"?

Same way people dubbed Alonso a "midfielder"

lol you reaaaaaaally want to argue that Alonso isn't a mid? Do Chelsea play 3-4-3? Does Alonso play in the back 3? Hmmm.

Daniels plays in a back 4, therefore isn't an "attacking winger".
