Honoured to have won Manager of the Week, I like to thanks my team for their unending support, my mum for always telling me to never give up, to the CWHQ for all their hardwork on this tournament, and lastly to the Blindians for being great competitors.

If the Cechs don't turn up tonight can we claim a win by default?

Well done team and congrats to "Ameenkw" for being the first Afghanistanisliasian to make Team Of The Week.

The Blindians, to their credit, took their loss to the Salahmon Islanders with respect and humility, and for two days solid both teams drank kava and ate copious amounts of crab and lobster. Nursing what must have been monumental hangovers, the guests were finally bid farewell from the island as they started their journey back home. Boris and his crew walked slowly back to the Green Windmill from the beach, re-energised by their surprise victory but behind in preparations for their next match against the Cech Republic. “OK lads,” announced Boris, when they finally arrived, “the Cech’s are coming, and with the match only a day away, I’m afraid we’ll be running an overnight training sessio…..”

Boris awakes suddenly, finding himself lying in the sand outside the windmill, alone and with a throbbing pain in the nasal area. Who had thrown that punch that caught him smack in the nose he can’t remember, but they had clearly all scarpered. Looking at his watch, he realises that it is 5am. ‘At least the Cech’s aren’t due for several more hours’, he thinks as he slowly sits up. As though on cue, the air is filled with a loud whirring noise, and all of a sudden he’s surrounded by blinding lights and a violent rush of wind. Boris feels like his head is about to explode, but then it gets worse – the song, ‘I believe I can fly’ is now blaring out at full volume, and Boris’ ears are surely bleeding by now from such an horrific aural assault. The Salahmon Islands are under attack, and Boris is alone to try and defend it – he gathers all his might and stands up against the hurricane like winds coming from the aircraft that is slowly touching down. After what feels like hours all falls silent, and then the doors to this alien craft slowly slide open. The light from inside is so intense that Boris can only make out the silhouettes of the ten strange beings that exit the airship. Apart from their heads, they could be human. But each head is round, bulbous and smooth. As the aliens make their way towards Boris, who has now given up and is lying prostrate on the floor, the sun has begun to rise and illuminates their strange faces.

“Is that Boris Bodega? Ha haa, you had Petr Cech yourself Boris”, laughs the leader. “Ya, Boris, it’s Petr the devil you know!” cries out another, cueing mass laughter from all of them. “Cech this out!”, calls out another, who pulls a football out of his bag and proceeds to start performing impressive reverse stepovers in front of them all. Suddenly it all becomes clear – the Cech Republic had decided to fly their way to the Salahmon Islands instead of taking the boat. They are all wearing black protective helmets just like the kind worn by…”Petr Cech is like a god to us, Boris, we know everything about him.”.

“Erm…welcome to the Salahmon Islands! The beach huts are..”, begins Boris, interrupted by the Cech leader JoiceJoseph777. “Oh don’t worry Boris, we had a long chat with the Blindians, who told us all about your naughty wildcard stunt. We know where the beach huts are, in fact we know…EVERYTHING!”. At this Boris turns on his heels and runs inside the Green Windmill as fast as his legs can carry him, slamming the door shut and locking it behind him. He can hear the Cech’s laughing themselves silly, but as his eyes adjust to the light he makes out the rest of his team all cowering beneath the windows, looking at him with beseeching eyes, desperate for some hope. Boris starts to smile, “Hang on a minute lads….I’ve got a great idea….”

After going on a 3 match winning streak, we are Hungary for me.
