Members Paddy Power Cup II – Entry Now Open

As the Paddy Power Cup V nears its conclusion, Fantasy Football Scout are pleased to announce that free entry for the Members Paddy Power Cup II is now open. Members looking to follow in the footsteps of our reigning champ, Kippax Kloggers, can register their entry for the competition by clicking this link (login required).

What is the Members Paddy Power Cup?

The Members Paddy Power Cup is our version of the Fantasy Premier League’s (FPL) Fantasy Cup game. Entrants who qualify for the first round will be randomly drawn against each other and the winner of the tie is whoever has the highest score from that Gameweek, minus points spent on transfers (like in the original game and in head-to-head scores). In the event of a tie, the Manager with highest in the overall standing will progress.

How do I enter?

As with the non-members Paddy Power Cup, entry for the competition is free and simple, just follow this link (login required) and fill out the form as required. A confirmation email will be sent shortly after you’ve submitted your details to acknowledge your entry has been received. Just like the FPL, multiple entries to the Cup are not permitted. Please ensure that you enter your FPL Team Id details correctly, any entries added incorrectly will not be entered into the qualifying round. Newly created FPL teams are not permitted.

When does it start?

All entries received before the Gameweek 24 deadline on February 4 11.30 am will be entered into the qualifying round. The top-scoring 512 managers in Gameweek 24 will progress to the first round proper which will be played in Gameweek 25. Again, FPL standing will decide who progresses in the event of tied positions.

When will I find out if I’ve qualified?

Results from the qualifying round will be published shortly after Gameweek 24 has been completed. The draw for the first round will follow soon after.

Are there prizes?

Sponsors Paddy Power are supplying the competition with some great prizes and we’re supplementing these with Amazon Vouchers. The prizes break down as follows:

Winner – £150 worth of free bets. £50 Amazon Voucher
Runner-up – £75 worth of free bets. £30 Amazon Voucher
3rd Place – £50 worth of free bets. £20 Amazon Voucher

A Paddy Power account is not required for entry but entrants will need a Paddy Power account and be aged 18 and over to be eligible for some of the above prizes. Prizes are also subject to Paddy Power’s terms and conditions.

If you’ve yet to register a Paddy Power account, then you can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register and bet £10.

  If you don't have 3 United players Sir Ryan of Giggs might be worth a punt (if he doesn't start tomorrow) with Nani and Young out he's on corners, if Rooney isn't fit he's on free-kicks and pens as well.
  
  The Ox might be another option. If he plays, with Bolton's lack of any pace in defence he could murder them.

  ok, Think that team is good to go. Was gonna tell you to play Krul but then I saw you're starting Santon, so hedging your bets is a good option. I'd lose Skrtel after this week though Liverpool's fixtures GWs 24-29 are truly horrible, if you can afford it get Verm in, if not Kos, Cahill, Luiz or double up on City and stick Bad K in there.

Evening all,

My current front 7 as part of a 3-4-4 formation is as follows:

Demps, Sess, SIlva, Bale, (Dyer)
RVP, Sturridge, Aguero

Thinking of changing to a 3-5-2 formation to get in Valenica and ship out Dyer, but it wpuld mean shipping out Aguero as well to raise the funds, and would involve a hit.

So does Dyer & Aguero > Valencia & Welbeck/Zamora/Keane sound good?

  If you like Sturridge then hold, since your front seven is stacked. The question becomes do you like Aguero more than Valencia? Tough call. Can you do Dyer and Sturridge for Valencia and cheap striker?

    No, but i just noticed that Ba is coming back early, so I might save the transfer and after Wednesday, do Dyer & Aguero > Valencia & Ba.
    
    Im afraid Valencia will rise another 0.2m though before next gameweek, and Ba could also rise at least 0.1m as everyone gets him in.

  Valencia is not essential with his fixtures coming up, Aguero will score way more points than him! Sturridge > Ba or if you want MU cover > Wellbeck!
