The Gameweek closes with a 0-0 stalemate at Anfield, a game notable in the main for a feline streaker – a rival to Everton’s recent handcuffed fan, but a far cry from the 70’s brand of pitch invader. Members can now read on for the key stats from tonight’s game and our prediction of where the remaining Fantasy Premier League bonus will be heading…
Anyone who asks for a RMT and it has the following people in it should have to do a forfeit for being the most boring gits on the planet.........
RMT!
Enrique, Kompany, BAE, Caulker, Evans
Bale. Sess, Silva, Valencia, Dempsey
RVP, Ba, Aguero
BORE OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Open ControlsDemba Ba is rising again! Is this some sort of sick joke!?
Open ControlsI really hope Cisse doesnt affect the number of chances he gets.
Open ControlsI hope he does! Looks like i'll be getting Cisse if Ba carries on rising every bloody day!
Open ControlsJudging by last game, Ba was playing deeper and was cisse's flick on buddy. So that could a problem for Ba owners. Would be funny to see all the Ba owners change to Cisse.
Open ControlsUntrue idea that is spreading like a bleedin virus on here. However no amount of rational explanations will stop it so do carry on.
Open ControlsI expected Ba to be the one further forward, but watching the game it did seem as though Cisse was further forward. Checking average positions on soccernet confirms this. I do know you're the resident Newcastle expert though. 🙂
Open ControlsHa I've never tried to set myself up as one that's for sure. But the myth is that Ba suddenly is dropping deep to accomodate Cisse - the actual truth is that he has been dropping deep all season. He sometimes drops off, picks the ball up deep gives it to a winger then gets forward. He did nothing out of the ordinary at all in terms of positional play against Villa.
Open Controls
yeah for those who doesn't own him yet 😛
Open ControlsMust be on for the record was fastest riser ever. This will be a good test of the theory that you can only rise a maximum of 0.3m in a game week. This will be his 3rd rise. If there is no ceiling, he will be on for another rise or two before saturday. If there is a 0.3m ceiling, I will still be able to afford him after the spurs game. If not, it will have to be Demba II. Though it might help if he did rise, to make the decision easier for me!
Open Controls
Should i do D. Cisse=>Zamora and Enrique=>Cole and take a 4 point hit?
Open ControlsMorning lads
Ba is in the papers this morning saying that he is going no-where. Good to hear that from the horses mouth. Never really thought he would be trying to get a move. Seems like somebody for who happiness is as important as money. And he seems pretty happy at the toon. He'll be even happier if we get into europe! Add to that he seems to be looking forward to the opportunity to build a partnership with demba II. Loved their double celebration by the way. Something exciting could be happening at the toon. Lets just hope that ashley sees that for a minimal investment in squad improvement, we could really challenge for 4th spot next year.Open ControlsUnfortunately the "I am going nowhere" has been said many times before they left. Only time will tell. I say spurs are the main problem, they cant afford adebayor so they could turn their attention to the better and more prolific Ba. And if you believe in this transfer release clause then it could be a problem. If he really wants to stay, sign a 5 year contract with a ridiculously high release clause.
Open ControlsThat is bullshat on so many levels;
1. Demba Ba has no allegence to Newcastle, he is from Africa and will go wherever the money is the greatest like every other footballer on the planet.
2. Newcastle will not get into Europe.
3. Something 'exciting' is always happening with you lot but you never deliver
4. Doea Demba Ba know he is playing in the SPORTS DIRECT ARENA (ha ha ha ha ha ha ha)
5. Your owner is a fat ignorant git who is taking you lot for a ride...............sadly you are not bright enough to see it.
My bet is that Demba Ba leaves Newcastle in the summer leaving you lot in a fight to avoid relegation next season.Open ControlsSunderland's great run has cheered you right up...
Open ControlsFans who get excited when a player says 'I am going nowhere' wind me up........especially when they are Newcastle fans who are renowned for their dillusional fantasies of greatness........Footballers shouldnt even talk so much crap it is nausiating.
Open Controls🙂
BiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiTTTTEr
Ps
5-1Open ControlsI did take the bait a bit............even you couldnt belive that crap he wrote.............surely???
Open ControlsEven me? I'm a model of restraint and decorum me.
Open ControlsRelegated next season if we lost Ba? Like we were going to be relegated this season? Well, seeing as the only players from your poor excuse of a team (current form is a nothing more than an extended new manager bounce), that might get into our starting 11 would be two from larsson, sessegnon and McClean. Where does that put sunderland?
Open Controls
OK. If you don't believe what the man himself says, how about my theory that he wouldn't be able get a big money move, because no insurance company would underwrite it due to his medical history?
Open ControlsBullshit!!.........I thought you said he wasnt moving because he loves the shithole that is Newcastle.........now he has got a dodgy ticker hang on now, the goalposts are changing a bit.........sounds like he is on his way......in a wooden box!!! you lot better cash in soon.....there is a bigger club about 10 miles South of you who could give Demba a much better chance of fulfilling his European dream.........
Open Controls
This Alsybach guy comes across as a major asshole. I think it's funnier that you are ranting on a fantasy football scout forum. Lighten up you absolute moron, your man is clearly just delighted that Newcastle are having a great campaign so far..there's always one Buzz Killington though, isn't there?
and number 2 😉 : sour grapes over your lack of a striker/decent striker at Sunderland? You're lucky Martin O' Neill is at the helm, otherwise you lot would be in the sh*t.Open Controls+1
And, to stir the pot:
"1. Demba Ba has no allegence to Newcastle, he is from Africa and will go wherever the money is the greatest like every other footballer on the planet."
So ... why the "...from Africa..." comment if he's "...like every other footballer..."?
D'Oh!Open Controlshe is from Africa........not South Shields........I hope you are not putting a racist twist on this you silly little man.
Open ControlsYour words - can you not understand them?
If he is like everyone else, his place of origin has no relevance in your assertion.
You mistakenly let your freak flag fly. #Gotcha.Open Controls
Don't take him so serious, if he wants a bit of banter he can have it. There's a world of difference between Alsybach and some of the pure trolls on here.
Not looks wise obviously.Open ControlsI didn't say anything!!! ðŸ™
Open Controls
I don't think it's possible to write off Newcastle Europe chances just yet. They have a really good team and the players know it by now, they are confident and most important - they can bounce back after a poor result.
Players like Krul, Simpson, Coloccini, Tiote, Cabaye and Ba would be good enough to start for almost any PL team. So this is a solid core, having said that, I'm not even trying to discuss Ba's chances to stay, that's another story, I'm just saying that your negativity has a very weak platform here.
Not a Toon fan, but honestly can't see them battling for survival next year, Pardew is doing a tremendous job, they have a good eye for the market and some very talented youngsters waiting to break out.Open ControlsCan't believe everyone is taking Alsybach so serious, he's a bitter mackem having a rant is all, let him rant, he knows a helluva beating is on the horizon AGAIN 😛
Plus he's annoyed that our African wonderstriker is having a great time, whereas their African wonderstriker cant be fecked going near the Stadium of Shite.Open Controls
Well I hope he does invest, I'm always sceptical about players "going nowhere" as that can change pretty quick, look at Carroll - local lad but went at the first sign of a greasy scouse tenner. Not that I'm complaining.
At the end of the day I am beginning to trust Fat Ashley a little more - gone are the days of signing megamoney players, cant afford em - instead he sells players at their peak for top dollar then gets our amazing scouting network to buy two or three quality players to replace 'em. And thus the cycle goes on. Do I think one of our biggies (Krul, Colo, Tiote, Cabaye, Ba) will go in the summer? Yeah probably, but I have growing faith that Graham Carr et al will find a good replacement for a fraction of the price.
It may not be as glamorous as Man City spending huge sums on the best available marquee signings, but it is a good sustainable policy.
Viva la revolution!
Ps
There is still a decent chance Ashley might screw us over, but he's behaved himself for a long time now. The stadium renaming was distasteful, but I think he'll want to make us a success.Open ControlsEnjoy it mate, you're having a blinding season. I for one will be cheering you on all the way in the quest for a top 4 finish.
Open ControlsSame here. Great job being done at that club. Hope it continues
Open ControlsCheers SuperD! It's an interesting season all round, big dogs weakening - could be a bit of a free-for-all at the end. As the Premiership slumps in quality, it certainly increases in entertainment.
Open ControlsYep i think it's been a very entertaining season so far and everything still to play for really. Not great for us Rovers fans but there is still time to pull ourselves out of it. A clean sheet or two would be a good start. One at home this weekend against Hughes and co would be priceless!
Open ControlsBig thing is to get Samba sorted out. Cant help having him pissing around, cant believe you let such an experienced character as Nelsen go for nowt - big mistake I think.
Its going to be a helluva scrap down there, thank Gawd we're out of it. Its a shame that so many northern teams are in the shit, always prefer the southerners to get relegated.Open ControlsWhat the fook is going on with Nelsen?! On the bloody bench today weren't he? Think he's played once for us in the last 18 months!
Last i heard he'd gone to NZ to try and sort out his long standing injury problems and then on transfer deadline day he moves to Spurs!? No idea how 2 medical teams can come to such different conclusions. Surely he knew he was fit so why the hell wasn't he out there playing? We had a load of kids playing against United and Liverpool (and they did really well to be fair to them) and we needed him. It's a very odd one that.
As for Samba, we've seen it before from him. Last time he through a hissy fit he got a new contract and the captains armband back. No idea what we'll have to do this time. Hopefully he realises that it's in everyones interest if he just gets his head down and do the job he's paid for. Apparently he's been training ok but it's just the off the field problems. Like doing interviews in the poxy Sun.Open ControlsThe Nelsen thing is mad, I've always quite liked him. I know he's injury prone but he's always done a job, maybe there was some behind the scenes shite (wouldnt surprise me with that Venkys mob)
As for Samba, he's just being thick. Cant imagine he'll stay past the summer, so surely only a matter of time before he realises that if he gets his head down and plays well he'll get a good move.Open ControlsThe owners seem the most likely reason. He was a high earner (for us anyway) and they'd have been happy to have him off the wage bill. Salgado is their next target i think. LA Galaxy are apparently interested in taking him. We are refusing to play him because an option in his contract for another year will be activated if he plays a certain number of games this season. Just a stupid scenario to be in really, one of many this season
Open ControlsYeah hopefully it comes good for you like it [possibly temporarily] has for us. Not nice seeing the team you support being so badly run.
Open Controls
Yeah. I'm slowly allowing myself to believe that Mike Ashley might not actually be the anti christ. Very slowly mind, as whenever I have let me guard down in the past, he has done something to spoil it all.
I think (hope) that he will be happy to keep the squad intact, and make some careful investment as long as we can keep the current squad to the wage structure. Colo, Krul, Ba and others will all need to get improved deals in the summer. If they ask for 100 grand a week, they will be sold to the highest bidder. And I don't have a problem with that.
I reckon a spend of only 10-15mill in the summer would be enough to have us challenging for 4th spot. A first team right back, an young centre back and centre forward (from europe or the championship), and an experienced defensive mid as back up for tiote. We've probably still got enough left over from the Carrol sale to just about cover that!Open ControlsWe dont need any back up for any position - we have the ultimate utility man - FRANZ PERCHENBAUER! Or if you prefer Robin Van Perchie.
I think we'll be ok when Steve Taylor gets back for centrebacks, Williamson is decent cover and Taylor was great before the injury. Simpson has done well at times, but we can do better at RB.
I think one of the big dogs will go, I just hope it isnt Krul or Coloccini, any of the others and although it would be guttting, it is fairly straightforward to replace.Open ControlsPerchinio has certainly stepped up to the plate last couple of games. I much prefer him in centre mid, as he can do a lot less damage there when he messes up! I guess if I had to choose one of the big dogs to sacrifice, it would be Tiote. Even though I love the guy. If you add up the amount of games he will miss for suspensions and the african nations, it might be worth cashing in for the 20-25 mill that he would go for. Man Utd could certainly do with him. Chelsea too if Essien doesn't get back to his pre injury form.
Open ControlsAye I've been a long time knocker of Perch, never rated him but he did well against Blackburn in an otherwise poor performance, and he was solid enough against Villa too.
Handy cover.Open Controls
Jesus........you've changed your tune......I remember your Mike Ashley rants......they were funny.......do like the name of the stadium though it has a certain ring to it, don't you think?
Open ControlsBetter than copying someone elses stadium name - and then besmirching it like your shitters.
Yeah I admit I was always the first to cast stones at the Fattiah, but I'm pretty open minded.Open ControlsWhen he appointed pardew, i was on the verge of tears. I was sure that it was part of the grand plan to just do enough to keep us in the premier league, with minimal investment, sell any good players for a profit. Knowing that the geordie faithful would keep paying the money regardless of how shite we are (see the 5 years before relegation). And pardew was the yes man to make that happen. I said at the time that even if pardew is a success, it will be a complete fluke on ashley's part. And it wouldn't change how I feel about him........... But now, Pardew has done an absolutely amazing job, with the resources that he has had. Did Ashley know something that nobody else didn't? It appears that he might have. I wonder who advised him on this one? I bet it wasn't denis wise!!
Open Controls
Chances of BAE bonus points? My H2H depends on him not getting any...
Open ControlsGoodish, I imagine ...
Open Controls
Shouldn't have dropped BAE off my team... Paying forit now..
Is Cahill a good acquisition? Chelsea Cahill.. Need to beef up my def..Open ControlsAt the moment it looks like Luiz and Ivanovic is no1 CB partnership. Cahill only played because Cole was suspended. Give it few more weeks to see what happens with the back four preference.
Open ControlsI think Cahill will be rotating with Luiz once Terry is back so its a risk
Open Controls
Valencia!! Has had a great run but I get the feeling he's about to plateau, with fixtures and the return of Nani and Young. Is he a must have?
Considering Valencia > Siggy and then Clark > Kompany / Richards next week?
Man U have Pool at home then Norwich and Spurs away.
A penny for your thoughts please?Open ControlsI'd keep for at least a few more weeks and then see what the team situation is.
In the past 10 weeks he's only scored 2 or below twice!Open ControlsI thought about removing him too but your comment, Mia, forced me to reconsider again and again... He's on form but does't seem to have a big Gwk - alike Silva.
Open ControlsSimilar story for Sess, with tough fixtures on the way?
Really I'm trying to find a means of getting Siggy in when perhaps I don't need to.Open Controls
when i woke up and saw da score was goalless i was so happy cuz enrique gonna get clean shhet.. but he din ply.. LMFAO!
Open ControlsI saw the score and thought what the hell.. I would be out of the cup as opponent has Enrique and BAE and that's the only possible way for him to beat me. Then, I was happy to see no Enrique. 😀
Open Controls
Morning all, Sess to MeClean and Fletcher to Ba. Good idea? Or back to the drawing board? Opinions most welcome. Thanks
Open ControlsSessegnon or Ba next gw? Or any other mid/striker? Have Silva Demps Sess Valencia Bale, RVP BA and Dzeko. Thinking Valencia->Sigurdson and play 3-5-2 with Sess and benching Ba since Spurs have a better defence and play better at home than Arsenal away, yay or nay? Have 2 FT`s so can play around a little, no money in the bank tho
Open Controlscaptain rvp or aguero or ba??
Open ControlsThis weeks average is 56 apparently, can't imagine that changing too much tomorrow after the BPs are dished out. Wonder what the magic number will be for Cup Qualification?
Open ControlsI'd say around the 70 mark. Pure guess mind, I'm actually confident I've made it for a change (scored two fat ladies this week. Oh and got 88 points)
Open ControlsActually maybe a bit higher than 70, could be nearer to 80 - its normally pretty steep for the Members Cup, no riff raff bringing down the score.
Open Controls
Im hoping 75 is gonna get me in. If only I had of captained RVP...
Open Controls
I know I shouldn't really be disappointed with 76 points but... Evans! You tit. And you Enrique. And you Kompany!!!! Grrrrr
Open ControlsWalters + Ade > McClean + Aguero for a 4pt hit?
Open ControlsAnyone going Dempsey (c) this week?
Come join me!Open ControlsHim or Bale for me,currently on Bale. His form at WHL is just too good to ignore
Open ControlsAlthough Dempsey's home form is also quite impressive. One of the two probably
Open Controls
Hell no, actually fancy Stoke in that one.
Open ControlsYeah? Stokes away form has improved but they just don't score enough goals for me. I can see Fulham winning it 2-1 or 2-0
Open ControlsA lot depends on Huth's appeal.
Open ControlsI don't think he's all that, but lots seem to like him.
Open Controls
They've lost 3 in a row, just think they will bounce back this weekend. I'm bringing Dempsey in this weekend but not confident captaining him.
Open Controls
No body is standing out to me at the moment. It might go to RVP out of default.
Open ControlsNEVER a bad option
Open Controls
how about Siggy? Any chances to get double-figure pts?
Open Controls
My main ideas for transfers this week are to bring in Bale/Siggy and/or Kompany/Joe Hart
RMT if you would be so kind
Mignolet Ruddy
Enrique Simpson Lescott Cahill Young
Sess Demps Silva Valencia Dyer
Zamora Graham RVP
cheersOpen ControlsI don't see the point in expensive goal keepers this year. Not when the cheaper ones are consistently out scoring them, or at least somewhere very close to.
Stick with what you know. Vorm at home. Krul. Al Habsi still gets points. Kenny will improve now fixtures are good and they have a CB.Open Controlslescott and cahill to santon and richards. then try to do graham to ba the next week. that's what i'd suggest
Open ControlsMy logic behind Joe Hart was that with ManC's defence always being rotated he's constantly playing and I feel they might get 2/3 CS in the next few games so might be wise to double up there. It's just an idea at the moment of course. I was thinking Vorm too for next week, not a bad idea.
I'm trying to resist getting Ba at least til after Spurs. Santon when I already have Simpson?? really?Open ControlsI think that cheaper keepers have more value than cheaper defenders. plus richards has good attacking potential.
i was saying get rid of cahill and lescott for richards and a cheap defender then get ba the next week, as in after spurs. or you could keep lescott and just do cahill to a cheap defender and then get in vorm or krul for ruddy and then hopefully you'd have enough to get ba in the next week
ohh didn't see simpson somehow, my bad. maybe kelly then. would suggest a stoke defender but dont think any of the cheap ones are good bets or nailed on atmOpen Controls
hi boys,
just planning ahead for gw 25, do i have the right order of things?
krul
kompany, cahill, kelly
bale, valencia, dempsey, silva
rvp, aguero, ba
bench: vorm, mcclean, caulker, evans
any help would be appreciated xoxoOpen ControlsI'd play Vorm over Krul and McClean over Aguero
Open ControlsIt obviously is risky but given Aguero's away form and McClean's home form it could pay off very well - all depends on whether or not you are chasing anyone in your mini-league and what team they have...
Open Controls
Would it be possible to have a comments rating system on here, and then a data base where you can search and order all comments over a set period? I was off work for a couple of weeks, so was pretty much able to keep up with all of the comments, but now I am back at work, its difficult to find the time, especially if I miss a day. It would be nice to be able to spend say half an hour, catching up on any juicy comments that I might have missed, rather than trawling through hundreds of RMT!!
Open ControlsHi, I haven't read your comment but would you RMT by any chance?
Open ControlsIt's possible but might be an expensive upgrade for them on a site that people don't pay for.
Open ControlsYeah. I understand zero about the costs of things like this. Would be nice though. Maybe members only so more people will pay the money?
Open ControlsIt's my first year using this site and am not a member but I will pay the membership fee next year just to support the site. Seems reasonable to me.
Open Controls
ba or aguero or rvp captain?
Open ControlsAll of them are potential 2 pointers next week
Open ControlsHave not decided yet but that Villa defense just the kind that Silva/Aguero can knife through
Open Controlshow abt a punt on dempsey?? 🙂
Open Controls
Pick one to Bench and why?? I am thinking sess/Mcclean
1. MCclean
2. Sess
3. valencia
4. Bale
5. Dempsey
6. Aguero
7. BA
8. RVPOpen Controlsvery very difficult, the obvious choice is McClean or Ba in my opinion, I think on current form its impossible to under-rate Dempsey Bale Sess and RVP, that said Sess and RVP are up against each other. I'd consider it unlikely that McClean AND Sessegnon are going to both score. Plus if Arsenal win and lap up the BP's then you'll really regret playing both Sunderland players...
Open Controls
Anybody else doing well without Ba this season? I haven't touched him at all and currently having my best season. 338th! I want that top 100!!!!!!!
Open ControlsIf you had him from before do you reckon you would've broke into the top 100 by now?
Open Controls
Mignolet
Caulker, Kompany, Kelly
Dempsey, Sessegnon, Valencia, Bale
RVP, Aguero, Ba
Bench : Krul, Walters, Woodgate, Raylor
yes or no to keep FT ?
any suggestions?Open Controlsthanks 😀
Open Controls
kelly or senderos, who is more nailed on?
