Mohamed Salah’s remarkable debut season just keeps on rolling and, while the ScoutCast crew have been fervent in their support for the Egyptian from Gameweek 1, we’ve been a lot more reluctant to hand him the captaincy.

Salah’s numbers and, in particular, his head-to-head with Golden Boot and armband rival Harry Kane, come under scrutiny in this latest episode. Jonty, Andy, Granville and Az join me as we reveal the true tale of our lack of faith and the damage done. The evidence is conclusive and nobody has more regrets than yours truly.

Elsewhere, your community questions have us revisit some of the Gameweek 31 casualties that had their credibility knocked by a weekend littered with eye-opening disappointment and we assess the allure of Arsenal’s favourable run-in. That’s also conclusive.

      Davies could be rested in the league if they secure top 4 and progress to the quarter finals.

        Yea I was playing around with my team planning bits and bobs and accidentally hit confirm on the summary page with wildcard turned on like a moron... I was going to wait till GW34/35 to play the wildcard but oh well.. whats done is done now.

        I didnt think I needed to really account for GW31 if im playing the free hit that week.. that was my logic with that anyway.

        Davies.. he was highly tipped from the scoutcast episode and other forums online which is why I took a punt on getting him in. Of course that could change.. any suggestions of an alternative to him?

        KDB.. I dont think he will be rested in league games.. hes been citys anchorpoint all season... I cant see that changing anytime soon. Pep doesnt really change the squad at all these days. I was however considering switching VVD and McTominay for Danilo & Gundogan. You think that would be a better duo?

        Aubameyang..... I can see him returning big points in the coming gameweeks. arsenals run of fixtures till the end of the season are spot on... and they always seem to get a new wind in the last 5-10 weeks of the season.. its happened 2 seasons in a row now for them.

          If you're free hitting in 31 then I'd lose players like Niasse and Van La Parra.

          Davies is being tipped based on the next 2 because they are only focusing on the next 3 fixtures until they all wildcard. 32 to 38 will have a different story. United defender maybe?

          KdB will surely start getting rested prior to big Champs league games when the league is sown up. Danilo and Gundogan aren't exactly nailed I don't think.

          This season Arsenal are atrocious. The same thing the happened to Lacazette is happening to Pierre. No supply. Don't see that improving anytime soon.

        Why would pope soon lose his place? Curious about that.. first ive heard of it. Hes trying to impress to get to the world cup with england isnt he? He wont be doing that if hes second choice at burnley. Im not sure why hed ever be second choice this season with his performances.

      Really dislike that team, and the planning is all wrong in my opinion. Arsenal are gonna stay dog crap, Pope may lose his spot, Davies may be rotated, McTominay is just a no go. Van la Parra and Niasse need to go. Back to the drawing board man.

        Those are interesting changes! Long would be on the bench to be fair so his minutes dont bother me too much.

          Let me know how you get on. The only obvious concern is with two keepers in the same side and a non playing defender the B.B. chip becomes much less effective

            Cheers dude, will do! Its OK with the BB chip... I spunked that away in the first half of the season the week after my first wildcard. Got a decent haul from it to be fair but wish I kept it.

              Haha then yeah, see no issues with those moves. Might also want to look at Mane and Niasse to Firmino and a cheap MF as I think Bobby is a safer (and more profitable) route into Liverpool attack

                Ive now got Schmeichel in goal, Leicester have a good run of fixtures now till the end of season..
                Switched KDB and McTom for Sane & Ramsey like you said
                Niasse-> Firmino
                Mane->(just figuring out what cheap mid now)

                And davies to Leicesters Maguire (because of the fixtures)... what you think to maguire as an asset for the rest of the season??

    Is his gametime in jeopardy with Jesus back or will Pep start him until and try and wrap up the league as soon as possible.

    I’m chasing, and thinking about doing:

    Ota (or Jones if deffo crocked), Ox and Aguero to Robertson, Ramsey and Aubameyang

    Thinking is that Kun might start to miss minutes (especially in that plum Stoke fixture). Auba is the only striker at arsenal and their next two are good fixtures (and s fesponse is surely needed?). Ramsey looked good yesterday and think Robbo is now nailed.

    Decent (or at least reasonable) moves?

        GW31 I will get out 8 with a -8 (pickford in for pope next week and maybe shaqiri and Wilson in for the BGW, maybe just one, see how I’m sat). Then WC ahead of GW32. Not got FH chip but will hopefully be able to get 12 or so DGW players for GW34 while still covering BGW35 and maximising DGW37

      Video of sterling training yesterday on his social media. If he’s not back for the weekend (which he could be) sounds like he’s deffo back for next week. As you’ve probably got cash tied up in him, I’d be looking to either sell son or carry the change. Richarlison is like a kick in the crotch, but a decent fixture this week and a game in GW31

      With the rest of that defence, I would either keep or downgrade to Chilwell/Simpson and use the cash elsewhere.

      Imo Davies is too expensive to have as a rotation risk player (starting this week with Juve on weds) and WBA are awful at the back (Dawson got his goal last week, that horse has bolted)

    What has gone wrong with Arsenal?

    I am finding it hard to lay all the blame at Wenger's doorstep maybe it is the club that has undermined him by appointing a director of football?

    I think Wenger's faith is now sealed which is sad he has been a great manager was one of the last of his kind as in having total control over the Arsenal before the club pulled the carpet out from under his feet.
