Rivalries are up and running in the ScoutCast as my old adversary Granville moves 16 points ahead, while Az closes the gap in his chase of Jonty.

Inevitably, Gameweek 31 will likely have a say in these contests, with opinions on that reduced set of fixtures divided in this week’s episode.

Against the backdrop of Ragabolly’s brilliant and extensive research, we investigate the real cost of Gameweek 31 hits and the benefit on offer for Free Hit managers.

Elsewhere it’s the Fantasy Premier League rules that get a grilling thanks to your community questions. We wonder whether the Norwegians have stolen a march with their Fantasy Eliteserien inventions as we assess the merits of the current chips.

Then the controversial bonus decisions of Gameweek 29 spark another appraisal of the Bonus Points System, with Granville taking his turn to be nostalgic as he pines for the mysterious “man in the stand” of yesteryear.

This ScoutCast was first beamed live via our YouTube channel on Tuesday evening. Be sure to subscribe to get notice of future live episodes.

If you’re a traditional type, you can acquire the mp3 audio version via this link on the first player below, or take in the full visual experience via the second player below.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Not sure what to do before price changes. Have a free transfer and used no chips.
Sterling to Mahrez or Walcott as he has the extra game?

    Lloris (Coleman)
    Mustafi Jones Simpson (VVD Goldson)
    Salah Sterling Pogba* Arnautovic
    Kane Firmino Vardy

0.5 itb 1 ft (but willing to take a hit and even two)

    WC: Not available
FH: 31 (in order to bring in dgw34 + bgw35 players with all my transfers)

    What would you recommend?

    a) Pogba --> Willian (allows me to upgrade Vardy to Auba if needed
    b) Pogba --> Mkhitaryan (no funds for auba)
    c) Pogba --> Ramsey (same info as A)
    d) Other transfers - which?

Not a fan of willian I take? I think he is pretty nailed... been playing a lot lately and producing them points as well.. bargain price for a winger

I am a fan I just don't trust Conte to keep playing him. If you think he's nailed (which he deserves to be tbh) then go for it.

Good point. Conte is not reliable atm... but I think now is the time to take a risk.. and yeah he really deserves it.

If he was nailed, surely you would prefer him over Ramsey right?

I think so yeah. Ramsey injury prone and Arsenal focusing on Europa League. Sounds to me like you want to go Willian so follow your instincts.

Only got 4 BGW'ers...2FT O.2 ITB. Ideally like to save one FT. Any suggestions on targets In and Out most welcome.

    Some of my thoughts:

    1. Could Mané be a good pick instead of Bobby for GW31? (Get to keep Kane + Aguero)

    2. Are Shaqiri and Walcott really 'essential'?
Really like the idea of Stanislas and Siggy.

    3. Because I'm only going to bring in 7-8 BGW'ers, I'm not too fussed about WC immediately GW32. I know groupthink here leans toward WC32, but the extra weeks knowledge could be very important.

    Pope
    Alonso VANDIJK Chilwell Ogbonna
    SALAH Eriksen Son
    Kane Aguero WILSON

      1. Yeah for sure. Firmino the safe pick because of his ownership but Mane could easily outscore him.

      2. Shaqiri looks like an important player to own. Fixture and form on his side. Walcott is far from essential.

      3. Agreed. Planning for a GW33 WC myself.

      1. Prefer Bobby, but Mane a great differential!

      2. I think shaqiri is, but Stanislas and Siggy could easily outscore Walcott.. actually prefer Siggy over Walcott because of FK and CK when it comes to a Evertonian player

      3. I agree. Chelsea and Spurs also face eachother, and will both be fighting for the top 4 finish, so that game could go either way, but you would want at least 3-4 players in total from those two teams.

      Mind helping me above?

      1)yes
2)All 4 good picks imo.Maybe now i would prefer Siggy over Theo.
3)If you think that your gw32 team its great then wc in gw33.
I would sell Chilwell or Duffy for a gw31 defender.

What would you do this week?
Plan is wildcard GW32, bench boost GW34, free hit GW35.

    2FT, 0.3 ITB.

    DDG - Elliot

Alonso - Otamendi- Naughton - Kenny - Ogbonna

    Salah - Mane - Sterling - Mahrez - Mili

    Kane - Wilson - Niasse

Anyone taking a gamble on not getting Shaqiri for GW31? Thinking of going double Everton defence in a punt to gain rank by going against the norm. 29% chance the gamble pays off and decent rank gain. Or he could just score and ruin everything. Don't want to follow the crowd with everything though

I mean as a one week punt, there are loads of equally good punts to Shaqiri. Loads of times I've read on here (think even on SC), just LIV attackers and Shaqiri are essential for 31! This seems silly to me 🙂

save my FT or go for this?
    Schindler in for Dunk-
Current back 5 are VVD, Smalling, Mustafi, Kenny and Dunk.

Thinking that Schindler has home matches in 30 and 31 against Swansea and Palace-

      Sterling.

This is City's last game for 3 weeks, they don't need to rest/rotate or start a player just back from injury.
