→ The 2014/15 season was Sergio Aguero's best ever for Fantasy returns. Seven of his goals/assists and 36 of his FPL points came in two meetings with which club that year? Scout Betting

With a bag full of points from the Scout Picks last gameweek, it was a surprise to see our Paddy Power wallet containing nothing but a used train ticket and a couple of crumpled receipts. Robert Huth’s early red card set the tone, with Sergio Aguero’s goal and a win at 4/5 the only market to come in. With Talent and Watchlist figures Gylfi Sigurdsson and Yakubu Aiyegbeni the main course of this week’s Flutter, it’s sure to be a feeding frenzy of rich returns.

The Yak is back. Whilst serving his three-match ban for a red card against Fulham, Yakubu’s Blackburn have slipped from their manager-saving form, topped off by a trouncing by Arsenal last weekend. Seemingly a talisman for the Kean revival, the sorely-missed striker will be essential to their tactics against visiting QPR on Saturday. Paddy have priced up a goal and a win at 5/2 and a brace at 9/1 . Both are tempting, but £2 on the former opens our account for another game-week.

Gylfi Sigurdsson has been around a bit since his early loan spells at Shrewsbury and Crewe. A 16-goal season for Reading and subsequent sale to Hoffenheim have cultured the 22 year old into a real creative force for the Swansea midfield. A pound at 20/1 for him to score and assist against visiting Norwich is a long price and a bit of a risk, but one worth taking since he performed the same feat against West Brom last week on the road.

Clint Dempsey has been the mainstay for Fantasy line-ups for many seasons now, always commanding a decent performance to Fantasy point conversion. Not a cheap prospect, but neither the lavish cost of Silva or Nani, Dempsey’s price of 8.9 is likely to continue to rise with favourable home and away fixtures coming up. A visit from Stoke may well be one of the tougher clashes of the next few, but Paddy’s offering of 5/2 on a Dempsey goal and a Fulham win is not short on confidence. A £4 stake here should bring home £14; a decent wager considering suspended Robert Huth will only be able to track Dempsey’s runs from the sidelines.

Last week’s ‘Who Will Score the Most’ market turned in a respectable 5 goals, and although our pick Demba Ba was among those on the score sheet, Robin van Persie’s battering of Blackburn left us empty handed. This week Rooney, RVP and Aguero are in the mix, but perhaps facing off against tougher competition. Aguero at 15/8 is the longest price of the trio as City travel to Villa, but with only a couple of quid left from our tenner bank roll, it might be a risk worth taking.

Money Back Special

All eyes will be on Old Trafford for the early Gameweek 25 kick-off between Man United and Liverpool tomorrow lunchtime. No surprise, then, to see Paddy focus on this one for this week’s Money Back Special. If Luis Suarez scores a goal at any point in the match, Paddy Power will refund all losing 1st /last goalscorer, correct score & scorecast singles. Paddy have also turned their attentions to this weekend’s Six Nations Rugby. If a number 11 scores the first try in the Italy v England, France v Ireland or Wales v Scotland clashes, Paddy Power will refund all losing try scorer bets on that match.

      Reasons to have Bale(C).
His home form is great, his last 7 scores at home have been, 14,11,13,4,9,5,15
Plays for a top team instead of a mid-table team like Dempsey
10 goals and 7 assists this year.
Newcastle are missing Tiote, Cabaye and Raylor meaning their defence will be exposed to a lot of attack, for example, They lost 5-2 to a mediocre Fulham side.

      Why?Some reasons to captain Demps!
He is in very good form.
He is playing as a striker with Ruiz in support behind him. And I think he loves playing with Ruiz in the games I have watched.
Stoke are in very very poor form and without Huth their defence will be weakened.
Last season at Craven Cottage Fulham won 2-0, and Dempsey scored both.
He gets 5 points for each goal rather than 4.
Should also get 1 point for clean sheet.
He has played 90 minutes every match, one exception where he played 84 mins.
From a total of 10 goals and 4 assists this season, 7 goals are at home and all his assists are at home.

I hope this made the captain choice a lot easier!

    Vorm (Mingolet)
    Komapnay, BAE, Kelly (Naylor, Simpson)
Silva, Bale, Dempsey (c), Sigurdsson (Sess)
    RVP, Aguero, Ba

I feel bad about benching Sess, but it's between him and Ba and I see Newcastle nicking at least a goal at Spurs.

Sess -> Siggi this week? Which would allow me to do Sorensen -> Krul & Fletcher -> Ba next week for free..

    Thoughts? (also own McClean)

Sess is on top form at the moment Viper - Siggy has a nice fix, but... Sess is playing VERY well.

I cant see Arse keeping a cleanie either...!

I have no obvious choices to drop in midfield but I'd like a Swansea midfielder for this week..

It has to be either Sess or McClean..

So when United is fully healthy (other than Vidic of course) will Evans still get quality time? consensus earlier seemed to be yes, but I'm worried about Smalling/Jones/Rafael/Ferdinand + Cleverly in midfield clogging a spot for Jones.

Nobody (except Fergie ... but he doesn't post often) knows for sure. On the bright side, no reason to expect them to stay healthy for long. No history of doing so to date. Evans is worth the risk if you have decent defenders behind him to cover when he doesn't play.

    Sigg Sess Silva Demps Bale
    Aguero Ba RVP

Flip a coin they are both good options but Dempsey has lower ownership so could be a good differential

Everyones in the same boat and ive been reading all the arguments for and against.
Even the bookies cant decide... both are 9/1 to score a brace too.

Hey they might end up with the same score and everybodys right!!

      Reasons to have Bale(C).
His home form is great, his last 7 scores at home have been, 14,11,13,4,9,5,15
Plays for a top team instead of a mid-table team like Dempsey
10 goals and 7 assists this year.
Newcastle are missing Tiote, Cabaye and Raylor meaning their defence will be exposed to a lot of attack, for example, They lost 5-2 to a mediocre Fulham side

Play Turner at home to Arsenal or take a hit for Huth > Kelly?

I own Senderos aswell so my defensive options are limited.
I guess the rule of thumb is dont hit for a defender but RVP could put Turner into minus territory.

    Thoughts welcome

Pointless taking a hit on a defender, you are banking on him to keep a clean sheet just to make 2 points. 1 goal conceded ruins all that.

I'd still say don't take a hit. As much as I want and expect Arsenal should score, Sunderland could very well keep a clean sheet.

Even if they don't, it's unlikely to be a whitewash so he should get 2 points either way.

I got a wee bit trigger happy buying Bosingwa early in the week and am regretting it now because I reckon Ivanovic will probably start in his place. Any of the great minds on here agree?
My team isn't looking particularly strong this GW playing 4-4-2 and only 2 available subs. Aaaahhhhhh! Very tough captain choice this week as well.
