→ The 2014/15 season was Sergio Aguero's best ever for Fantasy returns. Seven of his goals/assists and 36 of his FPL points came in two meetings with which club that year? Scout Betting

With a bag full of points from the Scout Picks last gameweek, it was a surprise to see our Paddy Power wallet containing nothing but a used train ticket and a couple of crumpled receipts. Robert Huth’s early red card set the tone, with Sergio Aguero’s goal and a win at 4/5 the only market to come in. With Talent and Watchlist figures Gylfi Sigurdsson and Yakubu Aiyegbeni the main course of this week’s Flutter, it’s sure to be a feeding frenzy of rich returns.

The Yak is back. Whilst serving his three-match ban for a red card against Fulham, Yakubu’s Blackburn have slipped from their manager-saving form, topped off by a trouncing by Arsenal last weekend. Seemingly a talisman for the Kean revival, the sorely-missed striker will be essential to their tactics against visiting QPR on Saturday. Paddy have priced up a goal and a win at 5/2 and a brace at 9/1 . Both are tempting, but £2 on the former opens our account for another game-week.

Gylfi Sigurdsson has been around a bit since his early loan spells at Shrewsbury and Crewe. A 16-goal season for Reading and subsequent sale to Hoffenheim have cultured the 22 year old into a real creative force for the Swansea midfield. A pound at 20/1 for him to score and assist against visiting Norwich is a long price and a bit of a risk, but one worth taking since he performed the same feat against West Brom last week on the road.

Clint Dempsey has been the mainstay for Fantasy line-ups for many seasons now, always commanding a decent performance to Fantasy point conversion. Not a cheap prospect, but neither the lavish cost of Silva or Nani, Dempsey’s price of 8.9 is likely to continue to rise with favourable home and away fixtures coming up. A visit from Stoke may well be one of the tougher clashes of the next few, but Paddy’s offering of 5/2 on a Dempsey goal and a Fulham win is not short on confidence. A £4 stake here should bring home £14; a decent wager considering suspended Robert Huth will only be able to track Dempsey’s runs from the sidelines.

Last week’s ‘Who Will Score the Most’ market turned in a respectable 5 goals, and although our pick Demba Ba was among those on the score sheet, Robin van Persie’s battering of Blackburn left us empty handed. This week Rooney, RVP and Aguero are in the mix, but perhaps facing off against tougher competition. Aguero at 15/8 is the longest price of the trio as City travel to Villa, but with only a couple of quid left from our tenner bank roll, it might be a risk worth taking.

Money Back Special

All eyes will be on Old Trafford for the early Gameweek 25 kick-off between Man United and Liverpool tomorrow lunchtime. No surprise, then, to see Paddy focus on this one for this week’s Money Back Special. If Luis Suarez scores a goal at any point in the match, Paddy Power will refund all losing 1st /last goalscorer, correct score & scorecast singles. Paddy have also turned their attentions to this weekend’s Six Nations Rugby. If a number 11 scores the first try in the Italy v England, France v Ireland or Wales v Scotland clashes, Paddy Power will refund all losing try scorer bets on that match.

If you’re new to this betting lark and new to Paddy Power then you can take up any of these odds and offers and get yourself a bonus. You can sign up via this site and get a free £20 when you register an account and bet a tenner.

Senderos being out has made me need to make a defensive change:

Do i do a straight swop for Kelly or take out Enrique? not sure who i would take Enrique out for?

Then there is my midfield question; do i bring in Dempsey for Silva or take Walters out for MGP/.Adel?

Your defence bad without a transfer

      enrique to Caulker

      Walters to Demosey

If you dont and Dempsey gets big score you will fall so far behind it not funny , worth spending 4 for protection , plus walters rubbish anyway

As for the defence I dont like Enrique for the next 5 weeks, chance Cahill or Bosingwa for 4 wks

Curse my luck. I'll be lucky to be able to field 11 this week, but already used my free transfer (yep, I'm kicking myself), so taking a big risk in going with:

    Mig (Krul)
    Kompany*, Richards, O'Shea (Raylor*, Senderos**)
    Dempsey, Bale, Sess, Silva (Ireland*)
    RVP, Cisse, Zamora.

My defence looks risky, particularly doubling up on Sunderland, and Sess may be knackered.
    Options:
a:Ireland to Siggy and play him over Sess.
b:Senderos to Kelly and play him over O'Shea.
    c:Stick and take the risk.

What on earth would you do?
    Any advice greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately it's not a free transfer, so even though I don't like playing two Sund defenders against RVP then I reckon that's the fate that this GW has dealt me.

You never know... a bit of luck and you could be 12 points up for leaving it alone... couple that with a good captain choice and you could turn a potential rubout into a decent week...

      nah just kiddin
Komp is expected to be fit tho (last I read) so just leave Mig and O'Shea and hope for the best.

          Stats, Stats , Stats

Fulham are at home and theyre good at home. Dont need no nerdy stat to prove that, just actual results.
Stoke cant keep the ball for more than 3 passes and struggle miserably away from home because of this.

Can I get some opinions on a starting dilemma. Got RVP(c), Bale(v) sorted.

Start McClean or Valencia? (Not going to bench Silva, Bale, Aguero or Ba. Already done Walters--->Siggy)

Pick two to play from Enrique, Taiwo, Evans and Simpson.

im top of my mini league and the only one that has Dempsey so hes a deferential, dont trust fulham enough to captain so it between bale rvp and Aguero, i think Aguero could tear it up the next few weeks and villas defense is poor , but most of the people here think bale is the one to go for,,,, so

    a)bale
    b) rvp
    c) Aguero

cant split bcks into the best three

    Caulker Riise BAE Kompany

Could go Dzeko > Ba/Cisse Next week (Depending on who performs this weekend to back up their goal each last week)

Then ahead of GW28 go Aguero>Rooney after Agueros two delicious home games, and that'll give me strong United cover for their golden run.

Transfer in the middle gameweek used elsewhere

In addition to that, I'll have Aguero for city cover, but I won't have a striker from Chelsea/United/Newcastle who all have easy fixtures. United's golden run begins in GW28 and grabbing Rooney a couple early could work out nicely

Good evening everyone, I know this is a popular question, but who to Captain RVP or Dempsey? Take into consideration that I have a 10 point lead in my mini league, and those close to me will probably go RVP. Should I play it safe and go RVP, or go with Dempsey, who I think will do better?

      It's a quandary for everyone.

RVP last 5 away points: 2,11,2,6,2
Dempsey last 5 home points: 13,2,2,20,9
Bale last 5 home points: 4,9,3,5,15

In all cases then the big scores came against weak opposition and low scores against strong opposition, so I'll let you make your own deductions from that.

Van Persie to start on the bench?

    Reasons i suspect this are

    1) Wenger hasnt said he might !! (unlike previous weeks )
    2) The other striker is now fully fit (forgotten name)
    3) Henry is playing last match of his loan spell
    4) Champions league midweek

What more proof do you need that he will start on the bench??

I remember in 2010 first game of the season , i had settled on my team for the season and made Van Persie Capt (he was going to start) Went to the pub to watch match , players run out
and he was on bench and got one point.

A little help please, I’ve been staring at my team for hours and am pretty much stumped as to who to get rid of, and who to bring in. My current starting XI, as follows:

    Vorm (Krul)

    Kompany, Shawcross, Cahill

    McClean, Sessegnon, Bale, Silva

    Dzeko, Ba, RvP

    (Enrique, Walters, Simpson)

I already have Kelly (Ful), so bringing in Hughes would mean doubling up on Fulham, but after this week, Swansea have poor short-term fixtures whereas Fulham have a few decent fixtures. I don’t have any other Swa players
