Having struggled to make an impact in his opening matches for Manchester United, Alexis Sanchez has made a timely return to form ahead of Double Gameweek 34.

Back-to-back double-digit hauls against Swansea and Man City, denying the latter of the title at the Etihad Stadium, has reignited confidence in the Chilean’s Fantasy prospects.

With Jose Mourinho’s men set for a kind pair of fixtures against West Brom and Bournemouth, Sanchez looks a ready-made differential in Fantasy Premier League (FPL), boasting a 3% ownership.

    I can see City slipping up at Spurs on Saturday, that combined with two United wins this GW and City's lead will be down to 7 or 8 points with 5 to play (4 for United). The PL could easily be alive for another three GW's, good news for FPL players.

        I'd be surprised if they slip up against Swansea or West Ham which could potentially keep the PL live into DGW 37, but given that the PL could have been over last week, i'd happily take another 3 GW's before they have tied up.

    Re the FH rules, which I'm struggling to understand:

    'After playing your Free Hit chip, at the next deadline your bank balance and squad is restored to as they were at the previous deadline, with any player price changes in the previous game week reflected.

    Any change to your bank balance whilst the Free Hit chip was active will be lost.'

    Can someone explain how 'your bank balance can be 'restored to how they were' and also 'change'?

    Does it mean that any decreases to players in the 'old' team will be reflected, increases in the new team and old team lost?

    What happens if the 'old' team increases to a point where it's not affordable? Unlikely I admit but...

      As in whatever was in your bank will be back in your bank. Whatever price changes have occurred will happen to your team when it comes back.

      Your old team will increase or decrease in value as if you hadn't changed it. Your bank balance stays the same as any money in the bank wouldn't change anyway

      Any changes in the price of the players you buy on the FH are irrelevant

        Thanks Lugs 🙂 I think this is the most likely scenario and the rule is just badly worded. Think it means that:

        Any increase in value to the FH team will be lost therefore any subsequent increase in bank balance due to reversion to the original team will not occur.

        Increases/decreases to the value of the original team will be reflected in the player/squad value.

    This article and a look at some of the member's stats (last 4 matches) has raised a few concerns regarding Alexis Sanchez's position in my FH34 team.

    Is Paul Pogba actually a better bet at 3.6m cheaper (albeit a punt)?

      I remember Pogba used to take free kicks to cross into the box - now it looks like Sanchez takes them and Pogba is in the box getting on the end of things. Keep in mind this was one game vs City and Mourinho changes his team for single matches like this quite often. You never know he could be back playing deeper or even on the bench at some point so for me Sanchez is a safer bet - also apparently he is on penalties now.

                Looks good too - had to move early and sell Salah as his price drop this week would have prevented me from putting the above team together.

                Doesn't feel entirely comfortable without him - but the good news is that many won't be captaining him this week and therefore the impact is lessened if he does haul. And the upside is considerable if he does underwhelm and the dgwers do well......

                  I agree, though looking at our teams it seems mostly down to Salah/Pogba vs Sanchez/Arnie. I'm actually priced out of the latter option and would have to downgrade Lloris to Courtois, but I think it's such a tough call that I may as well just stick.

    2) how nailed on is son? Worth taking him out for Alli for a hit?

      Not convinced he will play both especially as FA cup semi final is only a few days after Brighton. Don't don't think Son to Alli is worth a hit.

      He is United's best defender but that doesn't make him a good asset as probably rested for FA cup. Non of United's CBs are nailed so DDG or Valencia are only real options imo. Christensen would be my pick but again could be rotated
