The knock-out stages of the UEFA Champions League (UCL) competition kick off in a matter of hours and, ahead of Matchday Seven, we’re back with our Preview of the upcoming action for our European Fantasy managers…

This round of sixteen is one long, drawn out process. Having served a two-month break in the European off-season, the powers that-be have decided the eight fixtures will be spread across four days and two separate weeks. Great for television rights but, from a Fantasy perspective, not so straightforward to preview our favourites.

Bayer Leverkusen vs Barcelona

The first fixture in our coverage sees reigning champions Barcelona travel to the BayArena in Germany to face the Group E runners-up, Bayer Leverkusen.

Following on from another La Liga mishap at Osasuna last weekend, Pep Guardiola’s men can all but bid farewell to retaining their Spanish title, with a giant 10 point gap between themselves and Real Madrid. Nigh on all of Barcelona’s concentration from hence forth will be pinpointed on winning the Champions League for the third time in four years, then, with the added incentive of becoming the first side to retain the title.

Sitting sixth in the Bundesliga, Bayer Leverkusen have a mountain of a task in hand if they are to stop Barca but, if they are to stand any sort of chance, the cheap UCL goalkeeper, Bernd Leno, will need to be at his utmost best. If Guardiola’s men triumph, then, almost inevitably, it will be Lionel Messi inflicting the damage – the little Argentine was the top-scoring Fantasy player in the group stages, with 43 points.

Ones to watch: Bernd Leno (Leverkusen), Lionel Messi (Barca)

Lyon vs FC APOEL

While the group-stage exit of both Manchester sides drew plenty of headlines, the real surprise story was the unexpected, and wholly deserved, rise of FC APOEL.

The likes of Gustavo Manduca and Ailton are available for bargain prices and, if Lyon underestimate their opponents in the way that Porto and Shakhtar Donetsk did before them, another “upset” won’t be too far away.

The Ligue 1 side, despite a surprise home defeat to Caen on Saturday, will be able to call upon an armoury of firepower to thwart the visitors’ absorbing counter-attack style of play. Michel Bastos, with his thunderous and pinpoint delivery, will adorn many midfields, while the return of Lisandro means that he and Bafe Gomis offer all sorts of options up top for those with a space to spare.

Ones to watch: Michel Bastos (Lyon), Gustavo Manduca (APOEL)

Zenit St. Petersburg vs Benfica

The Russian side have been dealt a major blow before a ball has even been kicked, with the news that Danny, their star Portuguese midfielder, is out for the season with a serious knee injury.

Zenit – who are in the middle of their domestic break – will need to be at the top of their game to compensate for the lack of midfield guile. With this in mind, 5.0 priced Nicolas Lombaerts, the UCL top scoring defender to date (a fiend with the new recovered ball bonus), will be a key figure in the first leg tie.

Lombaerts and company are likely to have their work cut out, though. Opponents Benfica are in imperious, unbeaten, form so far this season. Pulling all the strings in the midfield will be Nicolas Gaitan (linked heavily with Manchester United) while the strike-force of Oscar Cardozo and ex-Bolton Wanderers loanee Rodrigo are in hot goalscoring streaks. The latter with five goals in his last four games and the former with eight in nine.

Ones to watch: Nicolas Lombaerts (Zenit), Nicolas Gaitan (Benfica)

AC Milan vs Arsenal

Arguably the biggest tie of the round. Two of the tournament’s high-profile sides come face to face to tussle for a spot in the quarter finals. With three appearances in the final between them over the last seven seasons, both clubs will fancy their chances of progressing.

Milan may currently be sat atop of Serie A right now but that only tells part of the story; inclement weather in Italy has kept their rivals from catching up on the fixture front. Massimo Allegri’s side have hit a bump in the road over their most recent crop of games, though a weekend win at Udinese did hint at a return to form.

The hosts have drawn and lost their last two at the San Siro, though, and Arsenal will arrive in confident mood after Saturday’s comeback at Sunderland. We’re picking out two highly competent –and in-fom- strikers from either side as our ones to watch, with goals looking inevitable. If that proves to be the case, Zlatan Ibramhimovic and Robin Van Persie are the men for the job.

Ones to watch: Zlatan Ibrahimovic (Milan), Robin Van Persie (Arsenal)

CSKA Moscow vs Real Madrid

We now move on to next week’s four fixtures. With all our trades needed to be made by 7.30pm this evening for next week’s games, though, the schedule hardly does European Fantasy managers any favours. In terms of injuries, it’s a case of crossing your fingers that lady luck stays on your side.

Like their fellow Russian qualifiers, a lot will be determined by just how well the CSKA back-line can keep the opposition attack at bay. The experience and goalscoring ability of Sergei Ignashevich make him stand out that little bit extra in comparison to his team-mates.

For the visitors, it goes without saying that, if you can afford him, Cristiano Ronaldo is the one man you want to own. By now we’re all well aware that he’s pretty good (119 goals in 122 games for Madrid) at this football lark and it’s just a matter of whether his hefty UCL price-tag of 12.4m is too much of a burden, with other great heavyweights (Lionel Messi) stealing your budget. Nearly a full 3 million cheaper, though, Karim Benzema is a more than ample Fantasy understudy.

Ones to watch: Sergei Ignashevich (CSKA), Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid)

Napoli v Chelsea

Napoli are not really in gangbusters form (0W, 4D, 1L in last five league games) right now but are in the knockout stages very much through merit, as much as Manchester City fans may beg to differ.

Chelsea are hardly in better form (1W, 3D, 1L in last five league games) but also find themselves in the thick of a Champions League fight and believing that progress to the further stages to be more than a distinct possibility. An expectation, in fact.

Having a Russian billionaire on the training ground sidelines is hardly conducive to a tension free atmosphere but Juan Mata is one man who, despite all those around him floundering, has kept his cool to date and will be vital to flying home with a first leg advantage.

In true Italian form, Napoli will be looking to stifle an opposition attack -lead by Fernando Torres- to another night to forget in front of goal and rely on the likes of Edinson Cavani on the counter. A UCL price-tag of 5.0 for defender Salvatore Aronica looks the most enticing to us to consider.

Ones to watch: Salvatore Aronica (Napoli), Juan Mata (Chelsea)

FC Basel vs Bayern Munich

Man United fans won’t be too pleased having to watch FC Basel duke it out against one of their European arch-rivals, Bayern Munich. The Swiss side fully deserved their spot in the knock-out stages of the competition, though, and now there’s an interesting little sub-story to this fixture.

Xherdan Shaqiri is one of the rising crop of Swiss starlets currently blooming and, as a result of his promise, has recently earned a €10 million transfer to Bayern Munich from Basel. Team-mate Granit Xhaka is thought of even more highly and could be an alternative.

The thing is, Shaqiri is remaining in Switzerland until the end of the season and now finds himself in the odd situation of playing for his current club against future club. We don’t doubt he’ll give his all but can’t help but find novelty in the circumstance, though Shaqiri’s talents suggest he is bound to be at the heart of the action, regardless.

For now Bayern will just have to make do with the likes of Franck Ribery, Thomas Mueller, Arjen Robben and Mario Gomez as they look to get a foothold in this tie. Domestically, though, Jupp Heynckes’ side have been poor on the road, winning just two of their last seven- Basel will be determined to get a foothold in the first-leg next week.

Ones to watch: Xherdan Shaqiri (Basel), Franck Ribery (Bayern)

Marseille vs Inter Milan

At the start of the season Marseille were enduring a torrid time in Ligue 1, while their fortunes in Europe offered a beacon of hope. Now the form has improved on the domestic front and Didier Deschamps’ side will come into their tie against Inter bursting with positivity, just as their opponents have begun to stumble following their own domestic recovery.

Loic Remy was on Harry Redknapp’s radar in the recently-closed transfer window, Mathieu Valbuena has seen an uptick in form with four assists and a pair of goals in his last four league games, while Nicolas N’Koulou is getting plenty of plaudits for his performances at the back. A whole gamut of affordable UCL squad fillers with more than enough potential to ponder.

Inter, meanwhile, have become a tepid proposition in the last few weeks, as their defence has faltered and results have taken a real turn for the worse. Diego Milito scored four in the recent 4-4 draw at Palermo and Yuto Nagatomo is nice and cheap at 5.0 but we’ll highlight Wesley Sneijder, more in hope that he’ll remember the form that saw him guide Inter to Champions League glory a couple of years ago. You’ll need more than a few shekels, and a midfield space, spare to afford the Dutchman.

Ones to watch: Nicolas N’Koulou (Marseille), Wesley Sneijder (Inter)

I can just see Ba scoring at least once, out of all those players you'd have to sway towards him for this GW, I'd bench Bale, but that's because I don't have him mainly. I'd probably be tempted to play him if I had him but I don't know if he'll do much against Arsenal

My opponent this week has roo/rvp/crap striker.

I want to try and match his captain choice, simply because the rest of my squad versus his, is miles better, just what i do, it works for me...dont ask lol.

If you understand, i think he will captain roo, on form and fix, over persie... so i want to match him really and let the squad do the work.

He hasnt got Ba, so he will already be a bonus for me... Does anyone agree with my logic??

        Thanks in advance lads!

    Top film tips:

    The Escapist
    Shoot On Sight
    Audition
    Butterfly On A Wheel
    Tucker and Dale vs Evil
Jean De Florette and Manon Des Sources
    Triangle

You've probably never heard of any of them, but I have a weekly challenge with my mates where we give each other the names of a film to watch which we have seen and loved but they would never have heard of.

Over the past six months then these ones were all rated 9-10 out of 10, and it's a tough crowd. 🙂

Off to watch J Edgar now, but if you can get these on DVD then try them out.

not sure. thats why i set up my team to play all the earliest players first then i can always sub in players playing later. so right now ive got everyone for the 14th, 15th, and 21st in with those playing on the 22nd on the bench. oh and always captain someone playing the first day as you can change it if they do poorly but if they explode you can keep their points

Sadly, I'll be rooting against you then, too. It was too bad I didn't captain Bale, or else I could have enjoyed the greatest Spurs game I've ever watched. Tough luck with Everton: can't say I didn't love every minute though.

L5 is so fun. As well as I am doing, its far from over. Long, long season, and way too many good players left.

I'm in 15 leagues right now, which is the limit. I would have to drop out of a standard league to join. I wish I could drop one of the H2Hs but I can't.

You don't need to join any league for this one, though. It's going to be all on the spreadsheet. 😉 I got your entry btw - with your ranking you could grab any club. Good stuff man!

Not a native and can't even imagine being one. They're so robotic and emotionless, you'd be astonished if you compare the difference in the people in the US and here. I'm an Indian actually and came over to study at National University of Singapore. Graduated a month back and now job-hunting 🙂 I was over at UPenn for a year on a work-study and that's when i realized US is a generation ahead of Asia. Loved the place & the people. Got to learn new stuff every day. How's the winter in Ohio this year, Newman? 2010 was the worst in the history of winters and I experienced it.

O bummer.........just dropped out of a league. O well. No biggie. glad I get a classy club.

Congrats on Graduating. You;re some kind of engineer, right? If the job market good for that in Singapore?

Glad you liked the states. Our Winter is actually the weakest in years. I think it had snowed twice by February 1st....both less than 2 inches. Really really lame winter. Makes it curious to see how long the cold weather will hold on.

Yup I'm a chemical engineer (like Rukawa again). It's a difficult market (being specialized & technical) and definitely ain't too bad at the moment. Hopefully the UK recession doesn't spark off any job trends in Singapore. Got some interviews lined up - hope that comes along. How about yourself, Newman? You have a family yet? I could never get down to guessing your age 😉

Ahhh that's a funny trend man. In 2009 Dec, it went upto 35 inches and 2010 Feb, it was crazy - think nearly touched 40 inches. Everything got shut down that day. Epic!

I remember that winter. It gets insane sometimes. Ohio is such an odd spot, too: we get the warmest summers and the coldest winters, and neither season seems to get its cue that we have moved on.

I don't if people will like this but here goes:

      1) I want to see FPL give us a total of 36 FTs to use whenever we want. So it would be upto us to use them wisely over the period of the season.

      2) And get rid of one WC seriously - it does more harm than good.

I also think they should make it so there is an automatic wildcard on the second week like this year. I know it was a mistake but it would be great because you could assess your first week and then move on from there. I haven't played this game many times but I think it would make it interesting. Everyone knows it's pretty impossible to predict a good team for the first few weeks.

Yeah, I reckon this would be better. Why 36 though? What about some kind of credit for (vc) as well. Something like (c) gets x2, (vc) gets x1.5.

          I like the (vc) idea.

36 - the first week has unlimited FTs and one more WC with unlimited FTs. That makes it a FT every week except those two. I'm cool with 38 if it's easier. But just adds another element to the game - as to how well you manage your FTs over the whole course of the season.

Ah yes, of course. Yeah 36 makes sense, although I'd say scrap WC all together and just have 37 free 'anytime' transfers.

I think good (vc) picks should be rewarded too! Also adds incentive to always pick playing (c) and (vc)!!

or maybe you could have it that if your (vc) gets bonus points, those are doubled. That might be a cool idea, basically if he's one of the outstanding players it rewards you for having him as (vc)

I really gotta say that I hate that 36 yearly transfer idea. If you ran out early, you would be totally screwed. It would kinda nullify risky punts if you didn't have an emergency points hit to fall back on. And to me, risky punts are too important to phase out.

Agreed on second Wildcard. I get why they do it, but its just pointless.

I will actually say I love this bonus point system and do not understand why every player doesn't hail its greatness. I mean, come on...its FAIR. Maybe its weird, but its fair. It makes the most unpredictable and jammy aspect of the game completely calculable. Maybe you don't LIKE that a player gets -PPI for missing shots but at least you can strategize around it. This was not the case last year. When everyone was holding Suarez WAY TOO LONG, I was proudly enjoying not having him. Why? Because I knew how many bad shots he took, and how bad his finishing was, and I was rewarding for that strategy.

Now, I can see adjusting WHAT gets rewarded by PPI, but I can't see how anyone who played last year can prefer that system.

Sorta....but usually it was just random. So many times someone who was downright poor got bonus. At the very least, that never happens anymore. Sure, some good players get snubbed...but at least poor ones don't just in randomly anymore.

Precisely that's what it would be about - it would differentiate the casuals, serious and the risky players. We'll tend to use it more wisely knowing anything could happen during the winter period. On some weeks when we have 2 FTs, they're just forcing us to use one of them, when we really don't need one. But we could do with that in the future sometime.

Yeah I agree on the bonus system although this is my first year. But seems fair & more predictable rather than 3 guys sitting over a drink and deciding the Baps. Maybe they could use a combo of both and find the best of both worlds.

You can still take risky punts though - it will just cost you a few of your 36 transfers. Gives people the option of saving up for a mass clear out, or spreading them evenly over the season. BP awarding is fine imo - as you say, whilst it doesn't make sense it is calculable.

I guess my argument is that with so few transfers, I don't think a wise manager can afford a risky risky punt. Heck, under THIS system, I have trouble justifying it. Add more limitation and I am likely to never go outside the 'standard' team.

I see your point. Perhaps just being able to continually roll forward transfers would be better? That might reward the casual player though (who doesn't look at his team for weeks), so perhaps you would have to select 'roll forward free transfer' each week otherwise you lose it?

I dont think you should be able to continue to roll them forward but being able to save up to three or maybe four max instead of two would be nice as you wouldnt be forced to use a transfer so soon and usually people will have at least one or two transfers they want to make in a three or four week time frame.

"can afford a risky risky punt"

well he can. but the only problem for him is that he might have to take 0 FTs in the last 4 weeks. Then he could decide whether to take hits for further changes.

                Morining deadzone

I think the current bonus system is good in theory. It just needs a bit of tweaking of the PPIs. It should obvious to the powers that be that there is a problem with the current system. Do I remember rightly that milner got 3 bonus points for playing 15mins and getting a tap-in??? But if they do recognize there is a problem, I can't see any reason why they couldn't tweak it mid season.

I agree that they should scrap the 2nd wildcard. Or if they really want to keep it, you should be able to choose to use it whenever you want

They should introduce an option of an entry fee and prize money. You can still play for free, and and enter the free league, but you can also choose to be in the money league.

There should be more than 1 pt difference between an assist and a goal for a forward

I'll try and think of some more.

In terms of having a strategy and actual planning, I agree that this current bonus point system is better. My reasons for wanting the old system back are mainly down to creating a talking point. It was always rather fun discussing who we thought would get the bonus points, and it was also fun when every so often someone totally unworthy got bonus points and watching everyone on here go into a rage.

Perhaps they shouldn't go completely back to the old system, but I definitely think they should at least integrate a human aspect into the PPI. Certain brilliant players don't get a look in because their style of play doesn't reward them with much PPI, ie Scott Parker.

Isn't it obvious that this new system produces talking points as well. Like how Valencia didn't get any for last week, or everyone getting Angry about none for Danny Graham. If something is even a bit clouded, its probably making someone angry.

I say take the human aspect out completely. I love Scott Parker, and he should get bonus every time, but this way is more measurable, so I like it more.

We get it, you believes stats are fair. But sometimes the bonus judges seem to be a better idea. In this system, there's no difference b/w a tap-in, and a 30-yard screamer, or a classy chip. Shouldn't there be some difference?

This is true. A player could dribble past 3 players, nutmeg another player, then take an excellent 30 yard screamer that beats the keeper but hits the post. What does he get for his troubles? Negative PPI.

People like Transfer Addict would have such a serious issue with this system. This is straight off the system used in Cricket Fantasy where you are given a fixed number of transfers which you can use when you desire.
Like Newman, I too believe the transfer hits's are an absolutely critical part of the game. When to take the 4pt hit involves a lot of decision making which can be really fun. In football, injuries are way too common, and this system would force you to stick with players when they are in doubt for the next game and maybe don't end up playing even the game after.
Sorry to say, Enr, but this idea is absolutely terrible.
Even in the current system, you should be easily able to differentiate yourself from an average use.

As for the 2nd wc, it doesn't really matter either way.

Haha I knew there would be a fair share of people who'd despise it. Mostly I've been against hits, so I wouldn't mind this new one.

So how is it in cricket? What happens if you make changes after your transfers are done?

in the fantasy version for the cricket world cup, you had 40 transfers, which you could play when desired. If you ran out of transfers, no changes are permitted to the team. There was a fixed wild card played at the end of the group stages.

Maybe you don't realize it, but this would kill the concept of an early bandwagon as you won't sign a player unless he is guaranteed to play. In fact differentials articles like this week would be redundant.

And why are you against hits? Have they not been favorable for you, ever? Isn't that a great feeling, when the player you got in for that extra 4 pts, ended up reaching double digits that week?

I think they need to implement a balls won/ball recovered scoring category like in the UCL game because it rewards defenders more and also makes defensive mids more valuable. and maybe a category for key stop aka defender stopping a breakaway or keeper saving a 1v1 or something like that because those should count more than just one save or one tackle that add up to points.

maybe also some points rewarded for number of passes completed or something like that. would reward a modric type player more and reflect their talent and contribution to the team

like others I think that the bonus system should just be tweaked. mainly I think that missed shots shouldn't count against you. because missing by a couple inches or hitting the post shouldnt count badly

I don't like the clean sheet system. I'd rather see clean sheet points awarded gradually, rather than a simple +4 for crossing the 60 minute mark.

I also don't see the point of having the bonus point system favor goal scorers so heavily. Sure, the goalscorer will have made a big impact on the game, but he is awarded points for the goal. What about the engine in midfield who pulled all the strings? Allocating the bonus points for passing, touches, skills, tackles etc would open up a larger range of players for considering. Everyone has the same teams at the moment.

interesting idea... but not sure how that would work. and what if a team goes 89 min with no goals allowed and then allows two in the span of 3 minutes? not sure how that work out...

I agree with you on the bonus. i wish somehow the type of goal would be factored in. i.e. someone scores a 30 yard upper v shot that should be worth more than a tap in. and whoever got credit for an "assist" on howards goal should not get as much weighting as someone who's assist is a pass for a tap in. and itd be nice to find a way to give credit for the assist of the assister and the player that starts a counter attack with a key stop for example

Aguero, Ba, Lamps in that order...

Reasoning - Blackburn concede a lot of goals, Man City score a lot of goals. Aguero is very strong at home. Blackburn likely to be without their only decent defender (Samba). Ba also has a great chance to score big, but Wolves will have the 'new manager' syndrome and Newc don't score as freely as Man City. Chelsea all over the place right now and Lampard is far from prolific. I'd rather Mata.

Thanks for your thoughts, I agree with you on the whole Wolves thing, it's the kind of match you can see them really knuckling down for. They might choose to play 4-5-1 and pray they only concede once. After a 5-1 hammering that will be the first thing on their minds for sure.

The reason I'm tempted by Lampard is he scored a hat-trick in the same fixture away from home earlier in the season. Maybe lightning wont strike twice but you've got to consider players do better against certain teams. I don't know, it's just an idea either way. I'd love to gamble on it and see it pay off

You'll get it as we go on surely.

Essentially, you get a team to play several h2h games throughout the tournament, leading to the final.

Balloting system is what allocates you your team from your 5 choices, based on your overall rank.

It's using your FPL scores, in Champs League format.

Finals will be in Gw38, for the drama 😉

                Noooo

It's basically an FPL h2h cup. Essentially, you get a team to play several h2h games throughout the tournament, leading to the final in gw38.

But everyone wants a Barca or a United. So the balloting system is what allocates you your team from your 5 choices, based on your overall rank.

just one clarification, there isnt an advantage to being Barca vs say Otelul Galati, is there? If its just to get the rights to a clubs' name, I could care less.

    good morning.

why did i buy verm? was going to be a 1 or 2 week punt. then red card fever hit my squad. now im trying to downgrade him over the next couple weeks to be able to afford aguero->rooney. Now, he's apparently set to take over at CB again, where he allegedly IS an attacking threat, and by the time i do drop him (gw28), Arsenals fixtures massively improve. It seems perfectly set up to drop him and watch him suddenly explode. but i see no other choice. having rooney instead of aguero and say enrique as a downgrade from verm seems logical. agreed?

Well I got Verm in my WC seeing that Komp was injured. He helped me actually. If not, I'd have been stuck with Richards this week. Instead, I could do Verm > Komp for Gw25.

Thank you Big verm. Short ode to you!

ENR you had some good advice for ucl but this week not all of it worked out. manduca only played 8 min, any idea why? and im glad I chose not to listen to you about alves. and doubling up on lyon defense would have worked out nicely... thanks for the help though I think overall I will be better this way

Haha sorry TW. Glad you didn't listen to any of it. 🙂

I went with 2 Barca defs in Adriano & Abidal instead of Alves - that failed, just gave me 2 each. Hopefully my double Real would work out.

haha its alright. no i went with manduca like you suggested. do you know why he only played 8 min though? and I got lombaerts instead of a cheaper zenit defender which like you suggested was probably a better idea

ohh ouch! adriano is an interesting one as he often plays mid or sometimes out on the wing. just hard to know how much he will play. i went for alves, xavi and messi. trying to figure out why xavi didn't play as I haven't heard anything

you doubled on real defense as well? didnt have room or money for them in defense so got callejon and ronaldo. hope doubling on them works out for you though

No idea really. Luckily I got the team sheet before the deadline & replaced Manduca with Pinto, who scored just 1 point 😕

Yea I took that gamble with Adriano, played at LW last night. But did zilch.

Ahh Callejon is awesome, sadly doesn't get enough gametime. Even as an impact sub, he could do some damage. I went with Benzema instead of CR7 and got a double in defence (just for fun's sake)

oh gotcha. yeahh I live in the states so I was at school when the deadline came around so had no chance to see team sheets or make changes.

yeah I think I took that gamble for the last game or two of group stages but he didn't play so it didnt work out too well. could have worked out really well for you though

it was him or alonso and i figured with the money saved on him I could have a stronger defense including bring in lombaerts like you suggested over whatever zenit defender I had before. yeahh thats what i'm hoping for. I went for ronaldo because he's so dangerous and deadly plus on pens and set pieces that i'd hate not to have him. really loving my frontline of messi, ronaldo and gomez :D. but benzema could work out just as well or even better than ronaldo depending on the day. is he not rotated with higuain as much anymore?

Would anyone else like to see the scout introduce a money league? They already have the facility to take money off us for member fees, so I doubt it would be that hard to administer. If there was a decent sized prize to win, I could semi justify to the mrs all of the time that I spend on game!! Mini league prize money is only around 50 quid.

Decided to take punt on Saha who was unplayable vs Newcastle. And who seems to be getting talked up by redknapp and Ade. Also nani is only 9.9 so im betting he will return with a vengeance against Norwich. Normally Spurs vs arsenal are big scoring games so im happy playing Saha and RVP.

Even if VDV returns im sure he’ll be pushed back to mid and bale will remain LM as he did vs Toon.

    Schwarzer (Sorenson)
    Richards/Vermaelan/Santon (Wilkinson(stoke), Kelly))
    Sessegnon/Silva/Nani/Bale (Moses)
    Rooney(c)/RVP/Saha

    Thoughts??

personally wouldnt advice saha but you sound convinced so go with your gut. think he will be behind vdv in the pecking order though but we will have to see. might even be behind defoe.... looks solid.

would suggest verm to enrique, wilkinson to evans and saha to ba over the next few weeks if you can. if not then maybe yak for saha, or keep saha and see how he does
