With template midfields and forward lines now commonplace, recent goals from Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Joleon Lescott demonstrated the value of points from our defenders as a method of boosting Fantasy ranks.

In this latest article for Members, we use Opta data and our own ICT Threat scores to examine the defenders who have presented the most potent threat so far, whilst discussing any worthy options who are potentially due improved returns before the season is out.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

Thanks, I've read the FAQ, but I guess I only glimpsed at the Members-FAQ then.
However, it doesn't say that much about what exact factors it takes into considerations, only "a player’s likelihood to earn assists and to score goals, or at least get in goalscoring situations".
Just to be sure: I am not looking for a mathematical formula or anything, curiosity just bit me. 😛

Damn it, why is Lescott over Richards now tempting me, it shouldn't, especially with Kolo back. Then again Yaya over Silva in order to fund Taiwo - Agger/Johnson is also tempting.

Also pick 2 to start and 2 to bench from

    Taiwo, Evans, Caulker and Dempsey

I have Richards and only reason why I'm sticking is because I think he'll be up the field more than Kompany - but I wouldn't swap for Lescott.

Kompany if you own either... stick if you currently have Richards, IMO... Richards > Kompany later.

I believe people in here have been saying that Simpson have been more nailed on than R. Taylor all season. But since Pardew can't seem to stop playing him, and since Taylor won't stop scoring, I'm not sure what to do.

However, with Cabaye and Tiote now back in the midfield, it will be interesting to see if Pardew still manages to keep a place for Taylor.
