Monitor – Gabriel Jesus

Just three Gameweeks now stand between Fantasy Premier League (FPL) managers and the long, dark teatime of the soul that is the summer break.

Yet with mini-league titles still to settle and another Double Gameweek on the horizon, difficult line-up decisions continue to present themselves. After a pair of red-hot Gameweeks across which his Man City side have racked up an impressive eight goals, Gabriel Jesus has firmly inserted himself into the Fantasy conversation and summarily dismantled the Wildcard template frontline of a Harry Kane – Romelu Lukaku/Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – Jamie Vardy triumvirate.

With goals in each of his last three starts, should Jesus displace one of his fellow heavy-hitters within our frontlines? And how much should we consider sacrificing to ensure we have the Brazilian on board?

In this latest Monitor article for members, we will be breaking down the striker’s season, recent form, and evaluating his potential over the final handful of games versus altnernative targets in the Man City squad.

Why are people still mentioning Tadic as an option, even in irony? We've moved past that surely

Option 1 seems better on paper but arni has terrible fixtures and davies still not totally nailed. What do u think?

      A. Arnautovic is in great form up front. Better than having an out of form mid v poor opposition.

I agree. Actually the like of option 1 is because of Davies. For me Son is better than Arni

Current transfer plans are Alonso and Lukaku > Vertonghen and Kane (-4).

In my opinion your priority should be this:

      2. Jesus in for Auba
      3. Alonso out only if you rly want to, or if it helps fund something else.

      A) in my opinion, since you'll want Sterlng for the double anyway and Mahrez has done nothing.

Tough one if you have both. Think City will concede one to Arnie strike so DDG as will be weak Arsenal side except for Auba of course

Playing Smalling too! Over Cedric ( BOU) and Naughton (CHE).

Also have Arnie and am reluctant to put Ederson between the posts, but I hoping double United defence won't backfire.

          Common sense should then be
          DDG + Cedric

The chances of Ederson getting a clean sheet are more than Cedric getting one..

And De Gea and Smalling will get similar points.

            So it's Ederson + Smalling!

Think you need to do Kaku to Kane then and Alonso to Davies (if Poch says Rise out) to pay for it.

Cheers guys. Yeah, just impossible to go into this gw without City players, and Alonso burning a hole in my pocket with his ban.

Think I'll go Mahrez -> Sterling, as Sterling is in stellar form. Also at 15K OR, don't want to take too many hits

Gamble on both Klavan and VvD to play or swap one out for a DGW'er -4? (gonna swap them out next GW before I use BB)

    -------------------Dubravka--------------------
    --------Vertonghen - VvD - Klavan--------
    Sterling - KDB - Eriksen - Zaha - Sane
    ----------------(K)ane - Pérez----------------

    (Fabianski, Ayew, Bellerin, Naughton)

I am risking no liv cover...sterling tempted me way too much with long term in mind...probably gonna be 7pts for salah as stoke players going to fight for their future

If there is a good time to rest Salah, Mane, Firmino, Robertson, Milner, Henderson etc. it has to be against Stoke. Then they can play against Roma, Chelsea and then you make a call against Brighton depending on where you are in the table and whether the players need a run out.

      Top 4 still isn't secured, they can't afford to play a full-on B Team

Key game is the Chelsea game though. Even if you beat Stoke you have to, at a minimum, draw with Chelsea. So for me losing to Stoke with the B team is not a big deal.

No, Pool only need four points from their last three fixtures to secure that CL spot with the vastly superior goal difference that they have. They can lose to Chelsea and still make it. (Chelsea can only get 75 points max now).

All except salah could be rested..firmino 100% having been rested many times before ucl match

The thing that they play early on Saturday and then not until Wendsday night...could mean that they have enough time to recover and play almost full 1st team and secure that CL spot

    1) Save FT? Planning Morgan, Barnes to Naughton, Austin next week

    2) Bench correct? Or swap the Gu(n)ds around?!

    Ddg
    Mustafi Walker Ward
    Gud Son Salah Sterling
    Kane (C) Auba Barnes

    Pickford Gundongan Francis Morgan

  30. What's the story with Willian?
