Our Fantasy Premier League Cup has reached its penultimate stage as we reveal the four managers to make it through to the semi-finals.

The draw has been kind to the two highest-ranked remaining competitors, who swerve each other in the last four, which takes place across Double Gameweek 37.

With a rank of 1,880 Batmaniac is the top placed manager in the competition, after seeing off BroTown Tindersticks in the quarter-finals. This high-flyer has booked himself a semi-final clash with Boxing Can Girouds, whose 11,947-placed team overcame dmcqt in the previous round.

Both these semi-finalists have only their Triple Captain chip left to play, having used the Wildcard in Gameweek 32.

However, underdog Boxing Can Girouds may have the advantage. He has already spent a transfer hit in Gameweek 36 to bring in Man City pair Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus to join the likes of Harry Kane and Paul Pogba.

Meanwhile, Batmaniac used just one transfer to bring in Spurs full-back Ben Davies last time out and is currently without any of Pep Guardiola’s troops. At least one four-point hit seems likely if he is to make the most of City’s favourable home games against Huddersfield and Brighton.

The other semi-final encounter sees 5,861 placed PetesBlair square up to the round’s lowest ranked manager 2EyedTurk, who is in 25,071 spot.

As with the other semi-finalists this pair only have their Triple Captain chip to call on.

The lower ranked manager also has the advantage in this tie in terms of Man City assets. 2EyedTurk defeated UTK in the quarter-finals with an impressive score of 66 thanks to his three City stars, Jesus, Sterling and Leroy Sane, who between them netted 28 points.

PetesBlair meanwhile only had Jesus among City assets in his side in a quarter-final victory over Mr Cookie. It seems likely that Sterling will be one of his key targets, with misfiring Leicester winger Riyad Mahrez potentially getting the boot on the back of five straight blanks.

The full quarter final results can be found here, while the semi final draw can be found here.

Thinking about the captaincy dilemma today:
Huddersfield (if they do) will become one of the worst teams to survive in the history of EPL! Brighton are not a million miles behind.
City are playing both at home in their double. They are being presented with the trophy after the HUD game so I think they will be really up for a big win in that one. There is a slight fear with the BHA game, especially if Brighton are already safe at that stage, that it will give Pep license to rotate. If Brighton are not safe then Pep might feel it his duty to put out a close to full strength team?
But I think the likes of Jesus and Sterling could score more than enough v HUD to justify the armband.

Anyone outside the 10k Should be seriously considering jesus/sterling! Whats the difference between finishing near enough where you currently are (captain kane) vs a potential serious climb in rank. Hudders/Brighton at home... Doesn't get better than that.

I'm ONE POINT outside the top 10k! I'm going Jesus. Sterling should be safe but enough uncertainty remains for him to be a captaincy risk.

Sterling I think is more likely to be rested. Jesus could catapult you up into 7k for example.

Im just behind you and looking away from Kane. so what if I finish 14k vs 21k. Top 10k is worth the risk especially with ML wrapped up.

Agree, especially the fact that Kane is not firing on all cylinders of late, and after giving it some thought today I've switched from Kane to Jesus!

Yeah Jesus currently but pending Pep talk. Any signaling of Bilva injured or something about sterling chasing something then Sterling may get it.

All depends on if play for just overall rank, or if in cash mini leagues.

If close to top for cash leagues prob play safer (on paper?)

I'd say - why start rotating wildly in the penultimate game of the season. Jesus should play as he is the only fit out-and-out forward. Sterling is more of a risk but should still play 2/3.

Jesus is the clear captaincy choice for me. Form and fixtures.

Very true! thats 48points jeez. Sterling could get 60+
Wow the other thing is Kane's horrible form vs a sturdy newcastle and a fighting, much better organised WBA. Jesus or sterling getting it.

Funny Kane looked a shoe in for 37 captaincy a month ago! But there are many issues with the Kane captaincy for this double now, WBA are a transformed side as you said and I don't see that being a gimme at all. He could explode but odds look against atm especially when compared to City assets. GL!

Yeah exactly! hit the nail on the head. Listen out for Pep PC and see if he says Sterling chasing a record or wants to get 20goals for a bonus etc. and make the decision between Jesus and Sterling.

Could see Kane getting a brace at wba then Jesus doing the same a day later. We have seen with Aguero how prolific a Man City striker can be at home. 2 home fixtures against bottom or near bottom teams. There is a lot of negativity with Kane at present. People taking the mick etc. Think I will go for the positive tc pick. Has to be Jesus

I'm just inside 7k and think I'll triple captain jesus.

If it was kun and not jesus we would have no issue triple captaining kun

And I expect city to create twice as many chances as spurs over their respective dgw fixtures.

Also - it is not just the fact that kane looks below 100 per cent - I think spurs as a whole look a little jaded - certainly did on Monday night.

All about mini league for me. I'm 2nd in both mine by around 30-35 points and both don't currently have Kane. Both do have Sterling and Jesus. So for me it's TC Kane to have a chance to win

If we knew city lads were definite starters in both games it would be a no brainer. However we don't know this and this will mean Kane will still be heavily backed. I'm on TC sterling myself at the moment...

Yeah I think you are correct regarding Brighton. Pep has already spoken about "respecting the competition" etc with regards to his team sheets so far, so that second game v Brighton will feature a strong team in my opinion if Brighton are still in danger of relegation. Annoyingly however, Swansea v Southampton is a day earlier, so one of these sides may have ensured they can't catch Brighton by the time Brighton kick off against city.

Those of us who captain a city player should be cheering on Swansea and Southampton over GW37!

I think we're looking for 16 points as a par score from a triple captain, which is possible in 1 game v hudds in my opinion.

I don't think Sterling is nailed, that's the problem. Of course, it's rare that any player is 100% nailed and Pep could experiment and play with a false 9.. but Jesus hasn't played that often and there's no Ageuro and maybe Aguero goes in the summer so Pep wants Jesus to play that role.. I think it's tail end probability Jesus doesn't play twice.. not impossible but unlikely. And that makes him my choice over Raheem. I don't think that Raheem outscores him in one game if Jesus has two.

Whether that's enough to justify me captaining Jesus over Kane I don't know. My head says I should but I always live in fear of not having Kane as a captain in a DGW...

I've just looked it up and since GW11 Sterling has started every game apart from GW21 (when he came on from the bench) and two games when he was injured (GW28 & 29) as soon as he was fit, he started when many said he wouldn't be rushed back.

How nailed does one have to be to be nailed?

He's started every game that he's been fit for apart from one since GW11.

However, if BHA is safe, we should expect those busier players in Pep's squad will be rotated, that Sterling is definitely the one.

It's the World Cup year. Pep would not burn his players. Any starters at HUD game cold give a rest at mid-week. Bravo, Foden and Yaya could all start by then.

Let's hope BHA not yet safe by such moment.

Otherwise, I will say Sane and DSilva are the safest to play both games.

Overthinking it. Treat it like a single GW with a bonus if your player plays the second game. On that basis alone - Sterling(c) seems an obvious choice.

Also have Mahrez and Willian since gw 32. Never really wanted them but they looked good for the double gameweeks. Wrong! Shows how the dgw influence can easily backfire on you. Then you hang on to them thinking they must come good. Wrong again! I have had enough, they are both going.

Which option do you think scores more for DGW37?:

            A) Vardy, (Barnes), Son NO HIT
            B) Kane, Ayew, (Fernandinho/Carroll/King) -8 PTS

In both options the player in brackets will be benched

            Rest of my team:
            DDG
            Vert, Smalling, Mustafi, Morgan (Lowton)
            Salah, Sterling, Eriksen, XXX (Mili)
            Jesus (C), XXX, XXXX

            Appreciate your help

So I've decided on Eriksen. But am now worried he might be rested in one of the games, as he's been playing 90 mins every game for a long time, no rest.

Any Spurs fans on here with knowledge on how likely this is? Is he too important to rest?

They can afford to rest anyone once that top 4 is secure.

They have 3 games in a week, a big squad and for many of them they have a world cup to look forward to, if he rests anyone I doubt he'll do it because he thinks they are tired (I doubt he cares) but more to prevent injuries.

You think Liverpool will play a weak team so Chelsea can have a good chance of beating them and going level on points if they win their game in hand?

I mean, you really think this is a possibility?

He's the least likely of the midfield three to get rested imo. Him constantly playing 90 mins is a good indication of this, as opposed to Son and Alli who rarely complete the 90 and were both rested the last time Spurs played three games in a week.

At the risk of staying the obvious it depends entirely on what each hit is. If each -4 seems justified in its own right then do it

If your really want to finish in top 10k, have to try something different, nothing biggie, just couple of differential will do the trick...

I'm somewhere around 80k and taking -20 to achieve top 50k atleast, nothing to lose... 😛

Did something similar this time last year (-16).

Was 40 points off top 10K at this point and finished 7k by focusing on doubles and teams with something still to play for. Net profit of about 60 points.

If you're replacing a single player with a double, you're gaining an extra game.

If your man plays 60, he'll gain 2 points that you wouldn't have had so really you are 2 points worse off (assuming they blank) don't be afraid of a hit this week if the move is right.

            On my BB

            DDG - Elliot
            Moses - Vert - Davies - Naughton - Mee
            Willian - Kennedy - Salah - Mili - Sterling
            Kane - Barnes - Vardy

            Thinking about a -12
Salah>Arnie (or sane/D.silva depending on how ballsy i feel with rotation)
            Vardy>Jesus
            Mee>Smalling
            Elliot>Fabianski
