Fantasy Premier League appears to have opened for 2018/19 and you can now pick your first team for the season. Over 4,000 managers have already signed up hoping to grab a low ID.

The player list published earlier today, that was later removed, appears to have been accurate, so we now know exactly how much each asset costs.

FPL revealed several player prices and positions yesterday with Sergio Aguero (£11.0m), Roberto Firmino (£9.5m), Romelu Lukaku (£11.0m), Eden Hazard (£10.5m), Granit Xhaka (£5.5m), Ruben Neves (£5.0m) and Sean Morrison (£5.0m) all announced.

Meanwhile, Fulham attacking wing-back Ryan Sessegnon was announced as a £6.5m midfielder.

This afternoon it was also revealed that Mohamed Salah would remain a midfielder but he will now cost Fantasy managers a hefty £13.0m to have in their squads. Now that the player list is public, we can confirm that the Egyptian is the most expensive player in the game.

Harry Kane, who scored 30 goals last term and currently leads the way in the World Cup Golden Boot race, is not far behind Liverpool’s superstar, his starting price of £12.5m exactly the same as it was in 2017/18.

After a break-out season for Manchester City, Raheem Sterling has seen his price increase from £8.0m to £11.0m. That makes him the most expensive City midfielder with Kevin De Bruyne coming in at £10.0m and Leroy Sane at £9.5m. In fact, only Salah has a higher price in midfield with Hazard and Alexis Sanchez (both £10.5m) just below him. Sterling also matches Aguero’s price-tag and is £0.5m more than Gabriel Jesus (£10.5m).

In defence the dearest options are Marcos Alonso, Cesar Azpilicueta, Kyle Walker, Nicolas Otamendi and Antonio Valencia who have all been handed a £6.5m price-tag. Of interest will be the fact that both Chelsea and Man City can offer starting centre-backs still priced at £5.5m.

David De Gea starts as the most expensive goalkeeper matching his World Cup Fantasy price of £6.0m. Just below him are Ederson, Thibaut Courtois and Hugo Lloris at £5.5m while there will be delight at the fact that Lukasz Fabianski is £4.5m.

The most notable positional switches see Marko Arnautovic and Wilfried Zaha moved from midfielders to forwards, with both players priced up at £7.0m. Moving backwards is Ashley Young who has been classified as a £6.0m defender, Fabian Delph making the same move for £5.5m. Meanwhile, James Milner has returned to the midfield and has been handed a starting price fo £5.5m.

There are several players whose impressive performances in 2017/18 have earned them price rises, although none of them as big as Salah’s. Crystal Palace’s designated penalty taker Luka Milivojevic is now £6.5m while goal-scoring defender Patrick van Aanholt is £5.5m. Ruben Loftus-Cheek, now back at Chelsea is the same price as his Dutch former colleague.

Andy Robertson has shot up to £6.0m after doing well since January, matching defensive colleague Virgil van Dijk for price. Also at Liverpool, new signings Naby Keita and Fabinho have come in at £7.5m and £6.0m respectively.

Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez are both now £9.0m, although they are not expected to share a partnership again with the Algerian set for a move to Manchester City. At Brighton, Pascal Gross is now £7.0m.

Burnley’s 12 clean sheets in 2017/18 has earned all of their defenders a £0.5m price rise. Matt Lowton, Ben Mee, James Tarkowski and Stephen Ward all come in at £5.0m while the rest are now £4.5m.

The same treatment has been given to the Spurs defence, who combined for 25 goal involvements in 2017/18. Toby Alderweireld, Serge Aurier, Ben Davies, Danny Rose, Davinson Sanchez, Jan Vertonghen and Kieran Trippier are all £6.0m with Kyle Walker-Peters at £4.5m. In midfield, Christian Eriksen stays at £9.5m but Dele Alli drops back down to £9.0m.

2017/18’s underperformers have understandably experienced price drops although there are some potential bargains as a result. Henrikh Mkhitaryan can be picked up for £7.0m while Theo Walcott is available at £6.5m. Elsewhere, Alvaro Morata costs £9.0m, Christian Benteke is £6.5m and Jason Puncheon is now a budget midfielder at £4.5m.

Also of interest, Leighton Baines (£5.5m), Seamus Coleman (£5.5m) and Michael Keane (£5.0m) are the only Everton defenders above £4.5m. One of Phil Jagielka, Ashley Williams or Cuco Martina is likely to start at centre-back alongside Keane at a budget price.

Raka. Only because last game he was more attacking and Willian may be brought into a midfield 4 according to chatter on here.

        Very very very early draft:

        Begovic - Fabianski
        PvA - Daniels - Cedric - Williams - Schelotto
        Salah - Ramsey - Jota - D. Silva - Cairney
        Firmino - Tosun - Aguero

Feel free to chip in your opinion. 2 FTs and have 11 players anyway. So am thinking:

        A. Hazard + Isco>Neymar + Golovin
        B. Isco + Carvajal>Rakatic/Willian/Pogba + Lovren

B seems sensible with any of them but A sounds feels like more fun somehow.

Yeah, just think they are going to be a rotation nightmare. They have so many options already and with Mahrez likely to join its only going to get worse. The safe bets look to be Ederson, Walker and Mendy.

Boly is more nailed than Saiss with new signing, I'd imagine a new CDM/CM will be bought who will share game time with Saiss. Saiss will likely deputise at CDM or CB but I do rate him highly.

Agreed that they were terrible last year, but he was only benched twice and got subbed off 4 times (1 due to injury and the other 2 after the 60th min).

Both give interesting options at a good price. Arnautovic is more difficult than Zaha given they have a new manager and he's temperamental. Zaha looks a good option for me as he has a good fixtures from the start and was playing great in his new role at the end of the season.

Boly is a safer bet at 4.5M with new signings so I'd avoid a potential early transfer in defence. Douglas is a more fun pick though!

I know everyone on FPL hype rn... but World Cup Q:

I have triple Spain players to ditch (Costa, Isco, Carvajal)

                        Rest of team is like this;
(25.3m to blow on a def, mid & attacker)

                        Kane - Lukaku - _______
                        Modric - Coutinho - Claesson - ______
                        Trippier - Meunier - Granqvist - ______
                        Muslera

Subs: GK fodder; Jap def, c.sanchez. all out!

                          Either Neymar, Golovin, Pavard
                          Or
France striker, Willian and Lovren imo

                        Early thoughts:

                        - Liverpool's right back will be a bargain
                        - Cedric and Daniels are underpriced
                        - Scheletto and WanBissaka could be 4m starters
                        - David Silva is underpriced
                        - Mkhitaryan could be a bargain

+1'd, good points. Surely Klopp will rotate TAA, Gomez and Clyne at right back? Can't see there being a nailed on player in that position.

Can't see TAA starting the season unless there's an injury - he will need some time off and be eased back in, in my opinion.

                          RB could be unclear

                          Bednarek also ridiculously underpriced.

                          ...and if they were questions?
                          Could well be.
Are they 4.5m, if not disagree 😉

First draft but obviously will likely change a lot:

                        Fabianski, Begovic
Mendy, Trent AA, Daniels, Cedric, Wan-Bissaka
Salah, De Bruyne, Jota, Deulofeu, Masuaka
                        Lukaku, Firmino, Arnautovic

I would go Aubameyang over Lukaku but first game is against City which puts me off.

If Silva is 8.5, not way I'd get KDB over him tbh!

What's everyone's thoughts on Sanchez? United start strongly more often than not and besides Lukaku he's their only nailed on attacking player (don't think Pogba counts as an attacking player).

Rather pay up and get Lukaku.

Be brave going with him from the start but the gamble could well pay off if he starts off fit and firing!

Someone mentioned that the prices feel half-arsed and I COMPLETELY agree. Silva 8.5 is a joke. Feels like nothing really changed no surprises

Bednarek is a clear starter under Hughes 3 man defence...FPL towers blunders

For 4.5m, McCarthy seems good value, especially with the good fixtures.

I’ve got triple Wolves in with Neves, Doherty and Jota... but that allows Salah - not sure yet

                        Ederson or leno?
Ederson has easier matches and stronger defence line in front of him but leno will likely have more save points and 0.5 cheaper
