Having quite the "flat" spell at the moment, coming second in my League and decided to play the conservative approach with the "copy paste" team, hence scoring the same boring score of between 45-60 each week. Been thinking of a differential or two but thats a fast track to an epic fail io you get it wrong.

i have several times but in earlier fiifa's like fifa 7,9,10..............now it's 4-5seasons ........
So this little Odemwingie chap running around popping goals in against whoever he feels like ... could be a pretty decent differential instead of the yet-to-fire-after-acon Dembe Ba. I heard that Papiss is playing in the forward role with Ba tucked in behind him, which would of course decrease his threat of goal-scoring. Anyone consdidering little Peter Nigeria as an alternative?

Many have Ba. Trading for either Cisse or Odem is unlikely with many unable to make a starting 11.
Odem's fixtures aren't great. Else he'd be on many teams already.

Having said that he's scored goals against Wolves, Norwich, Blackburn, Sunderland, Newcastle and no-one else so perhaps not. Just seems to be finding that sparkling form he had on late last year!

I lost my league last year because of 0dem. My main rival had him, but I went with fixtures (Odem's'were horrible) but he scored against EVERYONE. With West Brom showing significant threat going forward, he could be a great differential from all those that have Ba.

All all confirmed, and if Chelsea knock over Birmingham (lets pray they don't) then the Chelsea-Man City game will also be off, leaving 4 very average fixtures for the GW.

i feel that my team is almost too safe...and I am top of my mini league by 40 points...i've not played taiwo since buying him so thinking this could be my punt...he is quite attacking and they could well get a cs in this game since they are playing at home...
only thing i fear is his rotation if things don't go well since he didn't play the full 90 this week...I'm also planning on dumping one of mata/dempsey and aguero to accomodate for roonpig and valencia from gw29 onwards
i do feel rooney is very similar in his returns to aguero though...perhaps he's been more explosive in recent weeks bar injury

Yeah, I think I'll probably bench Simpson for Rangel actually. Captaincy - probably Aguero, other contenders being Silva and Dempsey.
You'd expect Kun to slot one home (at least) ... although the big bags he was getting earlier in the season seem to have dried up a bit! Reckon i'll be doing the same.
i know this is pretty far out there but thoughts on possibly getting rid of ba and dempsey for odemwingie and vdv around gw 31?

RVP still hasn't got that flare, and with Saha and Adebayor up front now I'd be hesitant ... there are better options out there IMO.

Spurs do have good fixtures, I'll agree.
You could look at Yaya, Mata, Walcott, Siggy, Nani or Young (although too expensive) or even as a massive differential Plump Adam - Liverpool have good fixtures and will 2 DGWs.

considered yaya as well, mata does not appeal to me so unless things change then no, walcott possibly, already have siggy and like you say nani and young are too expensive plus i may already have 3 united players at that point.
hmmm theres an idea. but pool attack just isn't doing much so not sure... don't you think vdv would be pretty differential actually as most will just have bale? i'll monitor vdv's minutes and position and decide later but if he plays tucked behind the striker don't you think he'd be a good gamble bar injury?
there's no doubting van der when he's on song, sit tight and watch how he goes in the next few games and then make a call. it'll be interesting to see how they use him noe they have 3 genuine strikers.

yes! i really liked the changes they made in fifa 12. feel like you have better ball control. and they added some nice new features to manager mode like a youth academy and a few others i think... can't remember now cuz ive been playing 12 so much i forgot what 11 was like

not sure about the ref feature but mostly have played manager mode or friendlies against family or friends, and a few games online. granted I play the xbox version but doubt there are many if any differences
i've liked online play. only reasons i dont play more is i really enjoy manager mode and my internet connection is rather crappy sometimes which makes online play rather frustrating
One PS3 game? Batman Arkham City, any day every day of the millenium, or Uncharted 3 and even MW 3 was a blast, Fifa 12 is very good but it's server's are soooooo frustrating.

I'm clearly not into Batman, Uncharted, etc. During Black Friday in 2010, I got myself Uncharted 1 & 2, MGS4, GTA4, FIFA & Tekken. Only got down to playing Fifa & GTA4 on a regular basis.

Mostly roleplay/sports. The reason I got addicted to Fifa was cos of its career mode, which fulfilled both my criteria. 😉

Yep, it's a tough one! Dzeko has only had a combined 14 minutes game time the last two GWs so it'd seem sensible that he'd get more, so sticking with him would make sense.
On the other hand, Bal and Aguero may well start again with Kun getting a haul.
Think I'm going to have to deliberate over it and hope for some news as to who will play!
B makes more long-term sense, not sure Dzeko will get anymore time than Aguero but after this week it won't matter much if you have Roon-pig.

Are there any changes that need to be made? I was thinking of doing Walters>Valencia but will he be fit come next week? I think my defence is alright, attack too, just the midfield that needs some fixing (1 or 2 changes). Please help, thanks!

Otherwise you could consider Sigurdson - Swansea have a good run home and he's been quite special so far.
Valencia could play, but unlikely, and with Nani and Young now fit and playing more consistently SAF might not need to risk Valencia for at least another week. Is a good transfer though, Stoke havent been great and Walters has dried up.
Defence is very solid, no changees needed there.
Strikers are the same 3 almost everyone has, but consider Aguero to Rooney after this GW. You could downgrade Ba to Graham or Cisse and upgrade another mid.
Midfield - Walters > Valencia (after this GW) and then you could consider Bale > Mata (for a differential) otherwise it'd be leaving it for now.

AHHHHH I just saw the Arsenal Tottenham Game on replay. I love it, every part. They blew away every criticism. Rosicky? He's not done yet. Walcott? The only thing flopping in his form is Friedal trying to save his brace. No mental grit? Try scoring five goals after being two down against a team Fergie calls the most exciting to watch.
Where are all you opportunistic haters now? Probably rolling your eyes. And yeah, you'll all be back taunting when they inevitable get knocked out of the Champions League. And yeah, at best they can hope for fourth considering the gap. But how many other teams do what Arsenal did against not just Tottenham, but Chelsea away as well? 'Nuff said.
I forgot one. Defense a liability? Pretty sure Sagna isn't.
yeah that was a pretty epic match, I didn't watch the full game but from the scoreline Arsenal dominated after conceeding the 2 goals and Walcott is starting to blossom into quite the player...he's too unpredictable for my liking in fpl though, one game he's quiet and the next he explodes, but he definitely has talent and Arsenal didn't miss a beat today. Congrats to them and Wenger, a convincing win against a strong side!!
REV ... I'll pay that, Arsenal looked amazing and Tottenham looked absolutely woeful after the 20-minute mark.
I would question Spur's defensive set-up at the moment, a few of those goals were simply way too easy ... but you still have to slot them and the Gunners put their foot right on the jugular when they had the chance.

seems like the Arsenal fans always have a love-hate relationship with Wenger every season, more so this season than in previous years...I think Wenger will keep his job, it is not easy to thump a side like Tottenham even though they were playing at home...Wenger just outsmarted the potential next England manager!
