The results for the second round of the Members Paddy Power Cup II are in and can be viewed right here. 256 fantasy managers became 128, after battling it out in Gameweek 26 for a place in the third round.

An above average number of drawn matches in the second round, saw 11 managers progress thanks to their overall rank. Relying on their previous hard work this week were RedcarRed, seanmcging, Back to Back Ballacks, Denis Denis, Browndog, Marvellus, Encaiter, stewpot, Billy Ketsu, skooldaze and Horizontal.

The reigning champ, Kippax Kikkers, is still in the mix after a comfortable 56 – 46 victory over Sounerous.

An amazingly low-scoring week produced a top score of 63, with only one manager breaking the usually standard 60-point mark. That title goes to sandgrounder, who defeated albion74 by 12 points in the process.

Congratulations to everyone progressing, and of course commiserations to those bowing out at this stage. The round three fixtures will be drawn and announced shortly.

      It looked pretty bad, United site said last night that he had a "deep cut" in his head. Doesn't sound likely at all. Hope he's alright.

      On a United point of view this isn't good either, we'll have to play one of Rafael or Jones at RB against Bale now 😕 Rafael has been playing brilliantly, but against that pace I can see at least a yellow card....hope Valencia is fit, if he is he'll definitely play RB imo.

        Rafael will play right back. He's dealt with Bale fairly well in the past.

      I'd have Morrison ahead of Andrews, Pilks ahead of Surman too. I think Miyaichi is the 'puntiest' of those transfers.

      Fixture wise, after this week Bolton have great fixtures, Siggy's are average as are that of WBA. Then Norwich's aren't too bad.

      Yep, especially if you want Newcastle defensive cover till the end of the year. I think doubling up on two Newcastle players is a little dodgy after recent results.

      Keep your transfer and extra money needed to shell out for a Pool defender unless your sure Martin Kelly will play both games. Might need the transfer in GW 29 with just 8 games being played. Depending on your selling price for Simpson you'll be paying about 1.5 m extra. He'd be the best choice but I don't know your team. Andrew is right. Home in the derby and away to Sunderland don't look great for clean sheets.

      The problem is that Lambert rotates his players too much & Surman may be in line for it.

        He has started 13 in the last 14 games. He almost always plays 90 mins as well. I'd say he is fairly nailed on. He is in 'favor' rather than a rotation threat.

            Holt is in better form, thats why Morison is benched, Holt is simply in 'favor', its not a matter of rotation. The same goes for Pilks. So long as players are in form they will play every game. As soon as the form drops off or someone outshines them then they get dropped. So in summary Lambert doesn't rotate players, he picks the players in form. Surman is definitely in favor at the moment.

                It may not be in every case. Its just that I notice players tend to play lots of games all in a row then are out all in a row. To me that isn't rotation.

                    Rotation is being dropped as a result of sharing the games around. Say playing 2 or 3, maybe even 5 or 6. Then the other guys gets a turn for a couple of games. When a player plays 13 in 14 games I hardly consider that rotation. I think that is a reward for good performances so is ahead of the other guy who misses out entirely and doesn't get a look in.

            Pilkington got injured I'm fairly sure and has been getting starts since coming back...I'll admit Lambert makes some annoying rotational choices but from the looks of things, Surman isn't one of them!

            Who's better than Surman for less than 4.6 in the next 3 fixtures? NO ONE.

    Is there any possibility that if Chelsea progress in the FA Cup, that this fixture will also just be pushed back 2 days to Weds 21st? Or is it a case that if Chelsea beat Brum this fixture will definitely get rescheduled?

      Morning Impressive!

      Fans usually expect a 2/3 weeks notice before its re-scheduled. If it isn't re-scheduled midweek by the FA Cup game, it's safe to assume we'll have a Chelsea/City DGW in the future, assuming Chelsea beat Brum.

      Same with me and Rukawa last week, very similar teams, but to be fair even without the advantage he just beat me by 2 points. Good luck! It all comes down to captains in situations like that! BE BRAVE.

        by theres not much difference getting beat by 1 point or 20 in all honesty, besides yourr pride.

        problem is he'll probably captain aguero this week and its hard to see around aguero for this week as i'd hate to have aguero (c) be a very strong differential for him...

        defenses are a bit different (keepers, simpson vs santon, kelly vs senderos, shawcross vs enrique)

        and true about sess vs moses but we both have siggy who we benched last week taht will probably be played this week...
