As Gameweek 27 approaches, 128 fantasy managers are eagerly awaiting news of their third round opponent in the Members Paddy Power Cup II. The waiting is over, as the draw has been made and the 64 fixtures can be viewed right here.

The reigning champ, Kippax Kikkers, has a tricky third assignment against gosh. Although ahead of him in the overall standings, the difference between them is a slender eight points.

Last week’s top-scorer, sandgrounder, may not need to repeat his heroics of round two, as he massively out-ranks his opponent:Garrydoherty84 sits 52,404th in the world, over 44k places behind top 8,000 manager sandgrounder.

The Scout team flag is flying extremely low, as we only have one remaining Contributor left in contention. PureOlivia will be aiming to save some face for us against Hopes Fears Dreams.

I’ll bring you the results of the third round shortly after the Gameweek concludes. Good luck all!

        Was tinkering with the idea of transferring to Charlie Adam myself. It is wrecking my head a little. He will have Wigan at home soon, too. Am trying to justify the decision. Feel like I want to shake things up a little. Sub is McClean, but also have Sess. Hmmmm....

    WEEKLY PRESS ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE No. 1 CAT OF CSKA MOSCOW

    “Good morning all you peoples of the press”, CatMac began her address to the eagerly waiting media crowd.

    “As you know it is currently –4Degrees here in Moscow and we have further cold weather and snow showers forecast for the weekend. As my team were pampered last week by the warmer climes of Lille, I have sent them on a rigorous extra training session under the guidance of my unfortunately –named comrade Leonid Slutsky. Alas, I cannot be there myself as I needed to esconce myself in my warm drawing room with its cosy fire and a glass of vodka to prepare this announcement. However, I digress.”

    “Last week’s regrettable result against the team of Lille has been brought to the attention of the Kremlin, so we need to work extra hard to get a favourable result against this week’s opponents, Internationazionale”. CatMac continued with no expression on her face.

    “My goalkeepers Krul and Vorm will be having additional training this afternoon with their coach in practising to save the penalties. I will see the result of this before I decide who to put between the posts. We also have a couple of doubts surrounding the availability of Kelly and Bale, I cannot say yet if they will start, they will need to have a medical assessment in the morning. However, I have very able replacements available.

    “Can you name the rest of the team, will you bring in any new players?” asked one eager journalist from the Red Square Evening News, “and who will be captain?” asked a reporter from Moscow State TV.”

    “Alas no” CatMac replied, “I am not being purposely evasive here but my opponent’s manager, JMS, is very elusive and has his spies everywhere, so I cannot divulge such things at this time. We are up against the group favourites who have similar quality players, so I need to make strategic plans to win this battle.”

    “However, all will be revealed tomorrow at 11:30am”

    With that CatMac left the room leaving a perplexed audience behind. They had learnt nothing; indeed what was the point of such a press conference.
