Scarred by the resting of City duo Sergio Aguero and David Silva, Gameweek 27 will go down as one of the key periods in the Fantasy season as vice captains kicked in to gift or rob Fantasy managers of spoils. Sunday’s events didn’t fail to add their own twists with red cards, missed penalties and the return to form of Clint Demspey alongside the extraordinary contribution of Pavel Pogrebnyak.

Our members can now pick through all the statistics from the Gameweek and, as always, we’ve picked out some eye-catching numbers to digest. Of course, we’ve also included our prediction of where the Fantasy Premier League bonus will go…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

    Does anyone know how much a Club makes just by avoiding relegation and staying in the premiership?

        I woulda expected slightly higher numbers with the money the League brings in every season.

          "As well as the money received for the final position in the Premier League table each club also received £14.6 million each this year for television appearances. This is a rise from £13.9 million last year and is a welcome increase to the clubs. It is also expected that each of the 20 Premier League clubs will have received between 2-5 million pounds in sponsorship deals, plus revenue from ticket and merchandise sales."

          So, add about 20 million to the above numbers for a total.

            tx for the info. When you compair the sums barca and real get from their tv deals to the teams in the prem its scary how wide the gap is. The balance is what makes our league more interesting though

    Does these transfers sound reasonable?

    Sorenson->Mignolet
    Dyer->Sigurdsson
    Aguero->Rooney
    leaving me 0.3m and...

    Vorm Mignolet
    Evans Kompany Simpson Taiwo Rangel
    Silva Bale Dempsey McLean Siguerdsson
    Rooney RvP Ba

    So who's everyone considering as a replacement for Sess?
    Im looking at Miyachi (plays QPR) Morrison (may not perform against Man U but will play Wogsn next)... Who else? It will likely be a 2week punt of sorts. If not the above, then which midfielder in Man U are likely to score points - dont really trust Nani and Young, Giggs, Scholes rotation/rest... Confused.

      Valencia and Young are played on opposite wings, with Nani played on either one. Ergo, I don't think Val and Young are in direct competition for time.

          I'm not a numbers guy, I really don't care much for the value game. Perhaps someone else could help more ...

          But, since he's dropped a lot already, and he's only owned by 2.3%, I have to wonder how much more he could possibly drop.

    The Sess sending off and immenent price drop has stuffed up my plans a little. Was planning this week-

    Agureo to Rooney

    Next week- Sess to Valencia

    Now thinking Aguero to Rooney and Sess to Cleverly for 4 point hit

    Krul/ Ruddy
    Kompany/ Evans/McAuley/Williamson/Kelly
    Silva/Dempsey/Sess/Moses/Murphy/
    RVP/ Aguero/Ba

    1.7m

    Problem is i really want Valencia so would only be getting Cleverly for 1 week before prob swapping him to Val.
    Any thoughts?

    Do I get Evans now, and find a keeper to rotate with Vorm, or do I get Enrique, play Vorm, and wait to see if Lindegaard is preferred once back.

          Same here. Wondering if it's worth holding onto him anymore with him against an in-form Arsenal & Norwich, when he didn't do anything against an out-of-color Wolves & makeshift Sunderland defence.

          Yak tempts me for the next one, but if I do get him in, it would mean no liv players. 😕

            Yeah Yak vs. wol, SUN & bol over the next 3 is decent as well. Can't believe how terrible Wolves are playing....or maybe I can.

            If I held onto Ba (with Holt my 3rd forward), then I'd be able to do Valencia --> Dempsey, Luiz --> Skrtel, Sess --> Miyaichi for an 8 point hit.

            Unless Rooney is much better to have along with RVP and Holt. In which case, I'd do Ba --> Rooney, Luiz --> Skrtel, Sess --> Miyaichi, Valencia --> 5.8m midfielder Morrison? Song? for a 12 point hit. My question then would be how important is it to have one of Dempsey or Pogrenbyak?

            Not sure yet....

              Dempsey's definitely one of the top mids to have at the moment. Not many mids assure you of big points at home. With SWA & NOR to come, I think you should get him. Surely Luiz is worth keeping for one more week?

              I'd restrict the damage to a 4 point hit at max, say Ba > Roo & Val/Sess > cheap mid, if possible. Then you could Dempsey in for gw29.

    I am definately doing, for 8pts:

    Aguero, Richards, Sess, Ba OUT

    Rooney, Skrtl, Morrison/Drenthe, Suarez IN

    Shall I also do Shawx to Enrique for an extra 4 considering my defender's fixtures besides Evans are MCI,che, ars?

        Cos the fixtures shift from City to United so want Rooney.

        Need to take some risks to catch a big gap. This is probably the only DGW left of the season need to take advantage, all or bust.

    Morning deadzone!

    The worm has finally turned. 9 green arrows in 11 gameweeks has seen me shoot up to the giddy heights of 84,790 (pre baps). Not bad considering that I was at 1.3 mill in GW28. More importantly, I have cut the deficit in my main mini league from close to 100 points to 25 points in a couple of weeks. The serious stuff starts here though, as the leader is no longer the uber flukey casual who has been up there most of the season, but my main rival, who also uses this site. I know you are watching me!!!

    I haven't been on here much for the last couple of weeks, and haven't posted at all (have you missed me?), because my boss was in town. Maybe that's the secret!

    A tip to anyone who is also chasing down a lead. Patience is key, as some of you know, I spent loads of time researching the perfect defensive rotation for my wildcard. I came up with Stoke/ Fulham and doubled up on both. They got next to nothing for the first couple of weeks, but I stuck with them. Now they are really bringing home the bacon!

    Now the lead I am chasing is next to nothing, I don't need to worry about differentials. I need help with one transfer for next week.

    Shawcross > Enrique/ Skrtel
    Sessegnon > Drenthe/ Myachi/ Morrison/ Moses/ Barfa
    Aguero > Rooney

    Main dilemma is the sess downgrade. I want somebody to rotate with Siggy. Which basically means somebody to play the next 4. All of the choices above feel a bit punty. And I vowed after the captain torres debacle to play it safe. But I can't think of a solid option. Maybe at the price we are talking, I can allow myself a punt. Who do you think? I'm leaning towards Drenthe with the DGW and pienar not available for Spurs. But Myachi has been getting a lot of love on here (why?). Barfa looked amazing yesterday, and Pardew says that he HAS to find a place for him in the team.

    Still in shock, wow what a GW. To recap:

    2 x straight red cards for minus pts and three match ban - check
    No Aguero, Silva, Bale or Kelly (so only field 10 playes) - check
    Captain moves to Ba (missed penalty and YC = -2) - check
    No CS in defence or GK (reserve GK saves penalty) - check
    Lowest ever GW score - check
    Team in tatters with Liverpool/Everton DGW ahead - check
    Require to make a minimum of four transfers - check
    Still smiling - uncheck

    Anyone beat that little lot?

      For this week I think Suarez. Suarez (sun, EVE) is more likely to outscore Rooney (WBA) and it's pretty much a guaranteed 8 points if you captain him, with huge upside potential.

      Long term Rooney, without question.

      yea,.. its tough being a Yank and trying to follow EPL from the states, i had to get up at 530am Sat and 500am Sun to catch the first matches, but was well worth it this week with the late drama from RVP and Ameobi.

      i'll probably have to ask again when everyone isnt asleep but are what are thoughts on
      Sess->Rosicky or Ox...?

      i know AFC play Milan on tuesday but after that the EPL is their only competition left, seems like Wenger is ready to start letting Ox play at least some part in every match and really he is a threat as soon he hits the pitch....

        Don't like the Ox right now as he seems to be too much of a bit part player at best and for 6 mil you can do better. Rosicky doesn't have good FF output and should also be avoided. In that price range you have Siguarsson, McClean, Song and a few others that will defo play most games and have decent FF output.

      Seems everyone has forgotten that Suarez doesn't actually score goals.... Just get Rooney in now imo

        worth the risk for a dwg imo, he'll def outscore rooney this week. Also WBA has tightened up at the back.

        Udit I want to buy ryo just for funds..Not expecting much from him.
        Anything from him will be bonus.

          Do what acqua said. No need to get rid of Ba.

      As far as 8 point hits go its decent but try to avoid starting the gw with - 8 imo.
