Scarred by the resting of City duo Sergio Aguero and David Silva, Gameweek 27 will go down as one of the key periods in the Fantasy season as vice captains kicked in to gift or rob Fantasy managers of spoils. Sunday’s events didn’t fail to add their own twists with red cards, missed penalties and the return to form of Clint Demspey alongside the extraordinary contribution of Pavel Pogrebnyak.

      Maybe you can have Reina / Bogdan as your keepers. Meaning Reina can play all GW (excellent fixtures). Helps you get rid of either Enrique / Skrtel for a cheapie (Kelly/ Senderos). Silva and Valencia for the other two.

        Yeah that could work. Only problem is nobody seems to know whether Kelly or Senderos are nailed on starters....???

          If anyone is in danger of losing his place, it has to be Senderos. Kelly should be nailed on as Hughes is a natural CB, so worst case he'll be replacing Senderos.

      I would think (If you don't already have Enrique tucked in the back 5), either Skrtel or Suarez is about as far as I'd look. tbh, only Enrique and Skrtel appear on my radar for this DGW.

      You have the advantage they follow the DGW with qpr and WIG.

      If it's anybody from that list to choose from, I'd pick Adam. Seems like the closest to earn 'something' of all that. So, since the lot of you don't fancy any one from their midfielders, how about Everton? Drenthe or someone else better?

    Having spent hours contemplating wilcard have decided that

    1) Rooney has to be included , otherwise if no space is made for him it will be impossible to buy him, if he cuts lose , unless taking out Van Persie.

    2) Rooney being included means either

    A) A cheap third striker and a good midfield
    B) Suarez and a cheaper midfield
    c) Decent midfield terrible defence

    Just cant decide , Team looks better balanced with someone like Holt up front , but if suarez scores a couple and an assist or two , Holts 2 points going to look pretty sick

      I'm gonna say B) - you'll kick yourself if you leave out Suarez and he scores a few....

      Also if you go A) how will you get Adebayor back in GW31 (assuming you want him then)?
      There are plenty of decent cheap and medium priced mids - Siggy, Mclean, Valencia, Yaya etc to compliment say 2 of Dempsey, Nani, Silva, Bale etc.

      I'd go with A. Not enough games, even going back to pre-suspension, where Suarez ever really "went off" (ZERO double digit games). The extra 4 million from going with someone like Graham, Holt, Morrison , or Fletcher could really turn a midfield into a strength.

    So obviously rule #1 has been to captain RVP. And this last week, Dempsey bailed me out of my failure to do so as VC after Silva sat.

    But this week, I'm pondering VC to either Skrtel or Jose Enrique. Any good advice on why I would choose one over the other?

      If your looking at liverpool def then Skrtel, he scores more goals.

      Liverpool look more dangerous from set pieces than Enrique from open play.

    Arternoon all.

    Well, have we all recovered from the emotional roller coaster that was GW27 yet? I ended up with only 10 on the pitch and two of those got negative scores yet I still managed a little green arrow, with baps to come. Very strange all round. Even stranger, I think I lost to PanicAnkit in the EuroVase League since he had the good sense to VC Onion Rings, and I doubled on City. Epic Fail, as dull teenage boys say.

    So, eggs meet basket -

    Kelly > Skrtl
    Sess > Adam
    Ba > Racist Vole Boy

    How ugly is that? It's so ugly I feel dirty just typing it out. Could be an absolute humdinger though if, and it's a big if, Liverpool win both and keep 2 clean sheets.

      Is Suarez really tempting? After my disastrous Spurs - Everton dgw, I've decided that I shan't bring anyone in for a double if I wouldn't even vaguely consider them if there weren't a double. And Suarez, after his awful spell in my team earlier this season (with prime fixtures) fits that bill.

    Thanks to mr mancini, my mini-league season is pretty much over now 🙁
    I've had a great team on paper for ages, but I just seem to get my decisions wrong time after time.

    You must(!) help me now...

    a) ba => suarez worth a 4 point hit?
    b) miyachi instead of mcclean, because the one I get must also play this gw
    c) sess out and still have to keep walters on my bench, not other way right?

    So... combining the remaining funds in the bank and the funds from selling Sessegnon, I have 8.7 million altogether. Who do you think has the best value in the market right now under that line (with favourable fixtures)?

    Currently, I own Dempsey, Valencia, Bale and McClean but I'm thinking of keeping Valencia. I can't buy Silva and even if I'm desperate for him, I would have to take a four point hit which is not necessary.

    sitting on my second 3-digit GW rank of the season, pretty chuffed.

    main question is what to do with sess. with 3 game ban and having 3 nightmarish fixtures once he returns, it's defo time to get him out, but for whom?

      Also thinking of a WC this week, was holding on for some big DGWs but I do not think that is going to happen this year. No major weather postponements, most teams look to be out of the big Euro competitions so I do not think we will get the big doubles like last year.

    This could/should have been a 100 point GW for me. Ba missing a pen and a header from 5 yds = 14 point swing. Caulker's likely 11 getting of my bench. Still, an expected 81 isn't too shabby.... (hides in corner with hard hat on)
