The third round of the Members Paddy Power Cup II took place over Gameweek 27, where 128 fantasy managers went head-to-head to edge one step closer to glory. The 64 results can be viewed right here.

This was the round that our reigning champion, Kippax Kikkers, was forced to relinquish his grip on the trophy. A 49 – 34 defeat at the hands of gosh, guarantees there will be a new name on the cup this term.

Also bowing out at this stage is the last of the Scout Contributors, as Pure Olivia got turned over 68 – 45 to Hopes Fears Dreams.

Top-score of the round went to Bob Fossil, who trounced 1nozza‘s score of 68 with an impressive 92 points. Chucky77 also deserves a mention after his 91 – 59 hammering of Pieman.

The unfortunate soul ‘winning’ the wooden spoon award was MB10, after his rather embarrassing 34 – 20 loss to thewoods.

Congratulations to the 64 fantasy managers progressing to the fourth round, the draw for which will be published shortly.

    Alternatively, get Pog for Rooney, Young for Walcott, and upgrade defence?

    Assuming Kompany is out, would it be worth extending my already -8 hit to a -12 point hit to do Kompany > Squirtle?

    Defense looks like this:
    Evans, Senderos, Kompany, Simpson, Shotton.

    Wouldn't be happy playing Simpson or Shotton, and feel Squirtle could score well in the next few weeks. However, is -12 a hit too far?

    A bit longer post, but I want you to read it.
    RMWCT team guys! I am so happy with this team now, can’t see any weaknesses with it.

    Schwarzer-Mignolet
    Caulker-Evans-Skrtel-BAE-Olsson(WBA)
    Nani-Bale-Dempsey-Sigurdsson-Miyaichi
    Holt-RVP-Rooney

    Holt is a one week punt, before stragiht swap to Odemwingie.

    Goalkeepers: Schwarzer and Mignolet rotates very well and is the goalkeepers behind tight defenses.

    Defenders: Evans,BAE,Skrtel is the best defnders to have from Spurs, United and ‘Pool IMO. Skrtel and BAE has huge attacking threat and very good chances of cleanies. Evans dont but has highly possible cleanies in him. Caulker and Olsson also have possible cleanies in them. Olsson has huge goal threat too. With Caulker also being involved in BP’s and now some attacking threat in the last few weeks.

    Midfielders:Nani,Bale,Dempsey will be my weekly starters with Siggy and Miyaichi rotating. I am not sure if I want Young or Nani, will decide who I get after United’s lineup in the EL tonight. As for Siggy, he has prove his abilites and is playing fantastic behind Graham. Miyaichi is a punt, and we’ll see how he work out guys.

    Forwards:RVP and Rooney are essential from this GW onwards IMO. Nuff said about them. Holt a one week punt, before straight swap to Odem. Odemwingie and WBA are in great form and I expect them to continue with Odemwingie as a nice differential in my ML, I think he’ll produce the goods for me.

    Any opinions please? 🙂 .

      I like it! However i don't agree with Miyaici. If your going for a Norwich punt with Holt, why not Pilkinton instead?

      I don't think Jevans is the best Utd defender to get. He's cheap, that's what he does. But is he nailed on? For how long?

      Swansea hoe games are generally reasonable, but away from home they're pretty much automatic bench fodder.

      Not sure about Mignolet given Sunderland's fixtures.

      Otherwise a pretty sexy team there. I would swap mine for it. Well done on preserving your WC.

    Back line of Kompany, Enrique, Raylor, Taiwo, Kelly.

    So it looks like I have 1 starter :,(

    Leading my mini league by 1 point, but had to take a hit to fix injuries and suspension.

    Opponent hasn't made any transfers yet, but he's got Sess so if he wants to do anything other than get rid of sess he's looking at a hit.

    Question is: should I take an 8 point hit to bring Evans in for Raylor/Taiwo? Or cross my fingers some of these guys play?

    hi

    got a dilemma here. so kompany is injured, and even if he's out just for this week, i'm planning on shipping him out anyways. my original plan was to get enrique for this week for -4 (i think its worth the hit). Then i was thinking of getting king for santon now that dawson is out. but my worry is he's not 100% nailed on (or is he?), so i could downgrade krul to bogdan (since newcastle has been giving away goals like presents) and getting kaboul instead since he is nailed on.

    so in short
    a) santon -> king
    b) krul + santon -> bogdan + kaboul
    c) keep kompany and wait until he returns from injury
