Even the most ardent Cardiff City and Burnley fan would admit that today’s sole Premier League fixture falls someway short of justifying the “Super Sunday” tag bestowed by a certain broadcaster.

Interest in the match is also minimal from a Fantasy Premier League point of view, with not a single player on show selected by more than 10% of FPL bosses.

James Tarkowski (£5.0m) and Joe Hart (£4.6m) are the two most-owned players taking to the pitch at the Cardiff City Stadium and will carry the hopes of 9.5% and 9.0% of FPL managers respectively of a second successive clean sheet following the 4-0 win over Bournemouth last weekend.

Tarkowski has two goals from set-pieces this season and both he and Ben Mee (£4.9m) – as well as dead-ball specialist Johann Berg Gudmundsson (£5.9m) – will be hoping to exploit their hosts’ weaknesses at set-play situations: Cardiff have conceded more attempts from free-kicks and corners as any other Premier League side in home matches in 2018/19.

Sean Dyche has unsurprisingly named an unchanged team from that hammering of the Cherries last Saturday, though the fit-again Steven Defour (£5.4m) makes his long-awaited return on the substitutes’ bench.

For Cardiff City, there are four changes, three of which are in attacking positions.

Josh Murphy (£4.8m) replaces Junior Hoilett (£5.2m) on the left flank, while Callum Paterson (£5.2m) will play just off striker Kenneth Zohore (£4.8m). Bobby Reid (£5.3m) and “out of position” midfielder Danny Ward (£4.5m), City’s erstwhile front two, drop to the bench.

Neil Warnock’s other change is enforced, with Sol Bamba (£4.5m) replacing the injured Lee Peltier (£3.9m). Bruno Ecuele Manga (£4.5m) thus moves across to right-back to accommodate Bamba’s return.

Bamba, indeed, is the only Cardiff outfielder starting today who is owned by more than 1% of FPL managers.

Neil Etheridge (£4.6m) is by far the Bluebirds’ most popular asset in FPL and sits level with Hart on 33 points in the game, having kept two clean sheets and made two penalty saves this season.

Cardiff have shipped 12 goals in their last three league matches, however.

Cardiff City XI (4-4-1-1): Etheridge; Bamba, Morrison, Ecuele-Manga, Cunningham; Camarasa, Ralls, Arter, Murphy; Paterson; Zohore.

Burnley XI (4-4-2): Hart; Lowton, Tarkowski, Mee, Taylor; Gudmundsson, Westwood, Cork, Lennon; Vydra, Vokes.

Got exact money for Mane/Aguero > Sterling/Kane, too sideways?

    Current team:

    Ederson
    Alonso Robertson Trippier (AWB Bennett)
    Hazard Mane Maddison Fraser (Guendouzi)
    Aguero Zaha Wilson

Other options include Mane > Rich, Zaha > Kane?

I know everyone’s desperate to get Kane in for this GW and Aguero has probably their hardest fixture of the year so it can come across a bit knee jerk. Happy to do just Mane > Sterling though as for £2.4m ITB

Thinking to transfer out Aguer for Lacca or Vardy (have Kane).
They have Liverpool now, then after international break Burnley and thats game aguero will be benched i supposed, especially they have shaktar and Tottenham away.

Aguero has a decent record vs Liverpool in the Prem. Wouldn't call it a bad fixture for him.

And me thinks Pep will play Jesus vs Shakhtar but let's see.

Aye I might be wrong then.

He has 6G, 4A (all competitions) versus them. In that case, I'm assuming most of his assists have come at Anfield.

I want to and planned to get Kane and Ryan in this week for Aguero and Ederson. Ryan is on -98 on FPL statistics while Kane looks like he will go up in price tonight. What would you do in my situation? Get Kane before the price rise and risk that Ryan will fall in price? Or assume that Ryan will fall in price and then get Kane when he is 0.1 more expensive?

I am sure there are are a few but in the few years i have been here i can not remember any openly female members posting.

Anyone that thinks that mildly sexist jokes made on ffs are offensive should hang around with some Irish girls for a day or two and then you will find out a thing or two about sexist jokes.

I know that there some great female fpl managers out there though and maybe someday we might see a female fpl champion.

Strongly considering a hit to get Kane. Which of the following looks most reasonable?

        A) Mané & Mitrovic > Kane & £4.4 (Obiang/Masuaku) and play 4-3-3 with AWB/Bennett rotation

        B) Agüero & Moura > Kane & £6.4 (Fraser/Pereyra/Milner/Lamela)

        C) Agüero & Mitrovic > Kane & £5.9 (Jimenez)

Because he didn't score? He's their first choice striker for a reason. He is key to their system with the kind of hold up play that he offers. He does the hardwork and Grizzy and Kylian get the goals. It's teamwork.

Okay I have finally made my mind up. Aguero to Kane and Zaha to one of Deeney or Gray (Watford have great fixtures coming up). Which one?

Deeney seems to score sometimes, and Gray rarely.

Gray so far 3 goals 0 assists, Deeney 2 goals 1 assist, so really not much between them

Not sold on Deeney/Gray but prefer Gray

Burnley had never won a Premier League away game against a promoted side before today, drawing six and losing five of their 11 such games. Strange. #CARBUR

Happy Gudmondsen owner here. Had a feeling he'd get a haul today.

Top 10k and overall average both up by 1pt so you're good.

Are Yarmalenko or Felipe Anderson looking like good assets at 6.8 now with West Hams upcoming fixtures? If so, which of them would be the best pick?

          On WC

Who is your Liverpool MF of choice

          Salah or Mane

          Any ideas would be welcomed

Tbh, I would not have either for this week but leave enough itb to make the upgrade for the week after. Plenty of better options this week. I would try and leave enough itb for a Salah transfer personally.

I took a -4 to get Kane in for the current gw, meant dropping mane and Laca which was risky but it has paid off luckily. I did this only because Hazard burned me a few weeks earlier when I didn't transfer him in under the exact same circumstances. For those wondering whether taking a hit is worth it for plum fixtures, I'd say that this season is rewarding the brave.
