It’s not been the greatest of gameweeks so far, has it? With a couple of clashes still to go, many of us will be keeping a keen eye on tomorrow night’s events at the Emirates, with the hopes of many a Fantasy manager pinned firmly on the shoulders of Robin Van Persie.

For now, though, our members can now pick through all the statistics from the Gameweek and, once again, we’ve picked out some eye-catching numbers to digest. As usual, we’ve also included our prediction of where the Fantasy Premier League bonus will go…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

With Silva dropping in form and becoming less of a fantasy must have here are some to consider.....
Chelsea- Frank Lampard remains Chelsea's highest scoring midfielder with 1 point more than fellow Chelsea playmaker Juan Mata. Lampard has played only 1785 minutes compared to Mata's 2024 and in those 1785 minutes Lampard has notched up 10 goals and 5 assists, meanwhile Mata has the opposite with 5 goals and 10 assists. Lampard has also hit double figures 5 times, with Mata only managing three. Lampard has mainly racked up the points against lower oppostition including a hat-trick and and all three bonus points at the Reebok in which he contributed 20 points. But Lampard's position in Roberto Di Matteo's side is unclear, despite playing the full 90 minutes in the past four BPL games where as Juan Mata has featured in every Chelsea game so far this season, most recently as a first half substitute in the 1-0 win against Stoke at Stamford Bridge.

Man United- With Antonio Valencia set to come back into the frame there is some uncertaincy over the two wing spots in the United Midfield. The first candidate is Nani, who has had a stop start season but has still been delivering the good for United. He has been on the scoresheet 6 times and picked up 10 assist along the way to 133 FPL points in 1867 minutes of Premier League football. The second alternative is Englishman Ashley Young. The former Villa man made a great start to the season with 33 points in the first 3 games, mainly down to a big 23 point haul in the 8-2 hammering of Arsenal at Old Trafford. but since then his season has has been hit with injuries but he did catch the eye with a brace in the 3-1 win at White Hart Lane. The cheaper alternative is Ecuadorian Antonio Valencia who has been more consistant than the two, only failing to score more than two points, most of those as a sub or at right-back. He did have an excellent run between GW15 and GW25 in which he delivered 2 goals and 10 assist.
    Minutes Played. PPG(90 mins).
    Nani- 1867 6.7pts
    Young- 1119 6.8pts
    Valencia- 1303 5.9pts

    Enjoy ❗

No offense, but this stuff drives me crazy. There isn't three fighting for two wing spots ... there is Nani and Young fighting for the left wing.

Yes, Nani *can* play right, but Tony is the 1st choice. When healthy, he'll start.

Oh, and he's better than the other two. And he plays defense.

I'm pretty sure Jones, Anderson, Park and others might have/could ... but they won't be near first choice.

Obviously, this is my opinion. Utd are twice the team when he plays, Rooney loves him, SAF loves him. Frankly, if you all want to stock up on Young/Nani -- be my guest.

I only have eyes for Tony 🙂

I agree that Valencia is immense and is pretty nailed on as first choice (but will still be rotated for rest at times).

From a fantasy perspective though Nani and Young are a lot more likely to score though, which makes a massive difference in points scoring.

    REPOST...

Sod it, I’m rashly going Silva > Young I think. Fixtures make sense, Young has been ‘triffic since his return from injury whilst Silva seems to be off the boil. Plus he has a chronic problem with his ankle which make him more likely to be rested.

I thought I would be keeping Silva all season but sometimes it is just as important knowing when to get rid of players as well as when to bring them in.

Any major flaws in this before I confirm?

I've done it. If you want to justify it to yourself....

IF Young gets injured on Thursday then you just change him to Nani or Valencia. Costs you 4 points but you get less rotation risk in exchange

The Aguero Rooney transfer saga is complete.
Anyone would be a fool not to pick him up now. Pens/Free kicks (Red Card ...Doubt it but latent)
Don't get me wrong, I would like to keep Aguero but cashflow problems, its just that Rooney is a great bet at this stage of the season. Rooney must be in your team if you want to contend....
.And Arsenal are well able to stuff Newcastle 7-0 tomorrow. ... G'won Van Persie...G'won Cork City.

I think RVP is yet to shine for Holland the way Robben has so far. Based on this season though RVP is miles ahead. Close call overall though.

Welbeck. Sturridge has a bit more bite at times, he's a better finisher, but Welbeck's approach play, movement and appreciation of space is excellent, very mature player for his age. If he can become clinical he'll go far. Welbeck plays for the team, Sturridge for himself.

Both potential to be very good players imo, but both has plenty to work on too. I think Welbeck is a bit better right now.

I'm a Chelsea fan and I'm not going to comment on who I think is better but Welbeck seems to have more of a footballing brain at the moment. Sturridge is greedy where as nearly anyone working for SAF seems to be a well balanced, intelligent player

To be fair, Sturridge is played OOP for most of the year. But Welbz has defo had the better year, regardless.

Sian Massey is probably the most competent official in the league, compare her to the blind ugly c unt who ruled out Clint Hill's goal yesterday. He's same guy who ruled out Adebayor's perfectly good goal against Stoke too. Shows what Andy Gray knows
