It’s not been the greatest of gameweeks so far, has it? With a couple of clashes still to go, many of us will be keeping a keen eye on tomorrow night’s events at the Emirates, with the hopes of many a Fantasy manager pinned firmly on the shoulders of Robin Van Persie.

For now, though, our members can now pick through all the statistics from the Gameweek and, once again, we’ve picked out some eye-catching numbers to digest. As usual, we’ve also included our prediction of where the Fantasy Premier League bonus will go…

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

      I'd probably rather have Evans.

Phil Jones is only one mistake away from a rest/drop imo. He was trying his hardest to screw up again today too actually. SAF won't have it if he does that.

I think Evans is more nailed on. If fit, he will play every league game, he's been outstanding this season.

Jones could always be rotated with smalling/rafael.

    Right lads, team linked.

I feel sick that I am stuck with Charlie Adam, and I think I need to get Young in asap. BUT, I already have Tony V. What would you advise?

4pt hit and ditch Adam and Valencia for Young & someone else (£6.8m), or ditch Bale and Valencia and stick with Adam for a bit? I fell victim to the DGW curse unfortunately so that's why I bought him before anyone asks 😀

Would need to to ditch Valencia anyway because I'd have too many utd players. I definitely want A.Young, he's on fire.

Set piece point is valid but I don't think the bigger variety helps much. Valencia only does one thing but it always works.

I thought quite a few of his assists were from set pieces? Rooney corner against Spurs is one I can remember. I might very well be wrong here, but the quality of his crosses makes him a threat from set pieces imo!

well by variety i mean he's dangerous when cutting inside and is a goal threat, valencia is a one trick pony (an effective one admittedly) but i'd feel more confident that young was gonna score point than valencia.

his delivery into the box is 2nd to none too.

Frankly, I think Valencia cuts in far better - far, far better - than Nani or Young.

Young rarely does, and when he does he's on the end line. Nani can't cross or cut in. I agree Tony crosses more frequently and better than the others, but I like his cuts ... which is obviously why I'm advocating for him here.

But if you're feeling the Young love, then go for it. I traded Berbs last year the week of his 5 goals. I still sob ...

Young does look classy again. I got Nani instead. But with Tony V back soon I wouldn't do anything yet. At least wait til the end of the week once the Bilbao game is finished so you avoid any injuries picked up. But I personally think if Young keep his form from Spurs and today the left wing position will be his for the duration.

They play on opposite sides and if they are doing the business they will play. It's up to Nani to step his game up and claim either spot but I don't think Nani is as effect on the left.

Young went on a similar run earlier this season but fizzled out and he lost his place in the team

Yeah Valencia is Mr Consistency without the goals. If you look at PPG for Young. Nani & Valencia they are all pretty similar. It's just that Valencia delivers more steady consistent returns whereas Nani and Young go quiet then score big. But with knee jerking and scrutinising our teams after every GW it's easy to ditch Nani/Young and think Tony V is the saviour when actually it all evens out over a longer period.

the reason nani and young have the same ppg ratio is they have played less games but get bigger haul of points as once as you pointed out.

When valencia plays he consistently brings in the points, it's not just 2 weeks big haul then 4 weeks 2 pts

I'm a Chelsea fan and I've always been a big fan of Kalou although he didn't play particularly well on saturday. I was at the game, He did get in some great positions and actually received a fair few apologies from players in the first half after they should have played him in and instead chose otherwise and failed. I don't know whats happened to Malouda though. Very strange considering how well he was playing a year ago.

Personally I'd be playing Torres and Drogba up front. I think Torres' confidence would grow playing with someone rather than being the main striker and feeling the pressure. But he does seem to have a SERIOUS lack of confidence.

I always used to like Kalou but I think alot of managers at the club have wasted him and some effectively froze him out. Mourinho got the best out of him and used him really well. He is a confidence player and needs some faith put in him. Great pace, good touch and can finish when he gets chances. Think he has been poorly treated in recent seasons tbh.

I couldn't I shuddered (when Wenger got caught inquiring), he's a bit of a selfish over-ambitous winger/striker that is played wide because he's quick. I would file him under the African brand of poacher, and habitual Row PP laces shot attempter.

I think it has been as simple as this for Torres: No one on that team really plays balls to his feet (half of them don't even appear to want to give the guys service half the time to be honest), except maybe Mata, the style of play for the team as a body is multi-personality. There are the old school direct footballers that wanna play one hitter quitters but aren't up to doing the work to get/keep possession once they loose it. And then on the defensive side there are the older players that refuse to (or likely not physically up to) play the high-line.

Your team's owner is like a guy that wants his house remodeled, and turns out he's a bit of a packrat, and doesn't want to even take anything out to even paint the walls. On to the next contractor.

I still rate Torres highly as a striker. If my Gunners had him he would be within the top 7 goal scorers easily this season.

Frank does seem to have lost some pace but AVB leaving will certainly do him some good. Although I'm unsure of what kind of systems Di Matteo is going to play. They'll be at least 2 or 3 changes from the team at the weekend to the Napoli game on Wednesday. Mata will start. As will Essien hopefully.

I love Di Matteo shuffling all the time. With AVB we were so predictable. This isn't the Portuguese league and u r best quality by far.

4 2 3 1 Mata in the hole for the cup, rested the old guard then 4231 with Lamps in the hole, great choice and Ramires both times on the wing. He told Sturruidge that he has to earn his place too. Gave chance to Kalou to show everybody that the places are for grabs. Then with Mata on we went with 4 1 4 1, Ramires back than we finished the game with classic 4 3 3. Lovely stuff IMO. And I see us finally playing some defense. Di M mentioned the CS in the interview after the game so clearly it is important for him.

Additionally he has finally done something that I was asking and promoting whole season. Playing Luiz on right back.

Well done Di Matteo u have my support, keep up with the good work. Lamps and Drogs make me proud again 😀

    So here's the masterplan ...

Step one: ditch Silva for Young this week.
Step two: ditch Dempsey for Silva before GW33, when Fulhams fixtures get harder and Citys get easier.

    Wise moves?

Unsure if anyone feels the same as me but I personally think Man City aren't just going to lie down and get beaten now. This is the sort of time they are likely to go on a run and keep the pressure on united. Albeit they have a tough fixture next but I think people selling all their Citeh players could be a bad move. I just have Silva for the time being and I'm not thinking of selling him. Not unless they go on some crazy bad run which I can't really see happening.

I can afford to lose some money, but I can't afford to "carry" someone in my team that's off form and got tough fixtures just to save money.

Not sure I agree with all the Silva out moves.

Sure, City are about to embark on a tough set of fixtures, and its definitely worth reducing your City quota. But if I was to keep one man from them, it would be Silva, who has shown that he can keep dripping you assists in, even in the toughest of games. To swap him out for a Utd winger who may/may not be nailed on seems madness, when you consider that with the fixtures being tough, the chances of him being rested are much reduced.

City aren't just going to implode, although similarly I doubt they're going to be battering teams. So the man I want is the one thats going to keep my score ticking over. None of Young/Nani/Valencia seem essential to me if you've got Rooney, who has got to be the one to aim for with Man U's run.

Exactly, if anything silva is better value against the bigger teams where he has scored his points. Also he will not be rested for these games whereas against the likes of Bolton etc he does. He nailed on for the next few and city could easily rack up high scores now that they have a point to prove to get back on top.

i was thinking of doing mine this week. it just seems like all the fixtures are reversing at the same time

chelsea have a hard run in. (so that means get rid of cahill if you have him). stoke has got it tough. man city are hitting rock bottom and have tough fixtures. swansea i dont think will keep a cleanie of more than once in the next 6 games

man united have 6 winnable games that could end up 3 goals socred in each of them. everton are doing well look solid and fixtures look good.

It's looking a good time to do the wildcard
