Fantasy Football Scout are delighted to announce the dates of our Fantasy Premier League Cup competitions for the 2018/19 campaign.

We are launching our 16th open-to-all tournament, along with a ninth competition for Members. Both tournaments have £300 in prizes on offer.

Sign-up for the open tournament can be found here.

Members can sign up to both tournaments, via entry forms here and here.

The roll call of former cup winners looks like this: donnellyc, Jonty, Gribude, Goonerdave, Ninja_Fit_Saints, sleeping master, Mch, Wild Rover, Tdubb05 , CMIFLFC, Mark, Leon Harris, A Manager Has No Name, Sleepysi, TH14 and our reigning champion 2EyedTurk.

As former winners, those listed will gain a bye to the first round of the tournament should they enter with the same username.

In our Members Cup, our list of winners is as follows:

Waltzingmatildas, Fuzzy Dunlop, Kippax Kickers Acquafresca, Trigg Ola Svanheld, Malaikat Jahad and the current champion rrcmc.

Again, those listed above will gain a bye to the first round proper of the Members Cup should they enter with the username listed.

If you’re new to our cup competitions, read on for an FAQ, offering all the details.

How do the Cup Competitions Work?

The FFS Cup is very similar to the Fantasy Premier League’s own Fantasy Cup game.

Entrants who qualify for the first round will be randomly drawn against each other and the winner of the tie is whoever has the highest score from that Gameweek, minus points spent on transfers (like in the original game and in head-to-head scores).

In the event of a tie, the manager highest in the overall FPL rankings after the tie will progress.

When do they start?

The qualifying round for the Fantasy Football Scout Cup will take place in Gameweek 12, with the first round proper running in Gameweek 13.

Fantasy managers can enter their teams from now right up to 10.30am on Monday November 12, when we’ll stop entries and make the first round draws shortly after.

The qualifying round for the Members Cup will take place week later in Gameweek 13, with the first round running in Gameweek 14.

Fantasy managers can enter their teams from now right up to 10.30am on Monday November 26, when we’ll stop entries and make the first round draws shortly after.

Previous winners must enter with the same usernames listed above to gain their bye.

How do I enter?

Enter the open-to-all FFS Cup via the entry form here.

Enter the FFS Members Cup via the entry form here. This form is only visible to Members and you will need to log into the Members’ area to view the form.

You will be sent a confirmation email to verify your entry and you’ll be asked to confirm your FPL team ID at the point of entry – please be sure to click the link to verify that your team is correct before confirming. If you FPL team is incorrectly entered, we cannot amend this at a later date.

Your entry is only completed once you have confirmed your FPL team ID as part of the process.

To check that you’re entered correctly, please scan the list of entries.

The open-to-all FFS Cup list is here.

The Members FFS Cup list is here.

How do I find my FPL team ID?

Your FPL ID is your unique ID for your FPL team. This is found via your Gameweek History page – the link to which is found in the right-hand menu under your FPL team strip. When you visit your Gameweek History you will see a number in the URL (as opposed to the XXX below).

https://fantasy.premierleague.com/a/entry/XXX/history

Place this 1-7 digit number, or your Gameweek History URL, in the FPL ID field on the entry form.

When will I find out if I’ve qualified?

Results from the Fantasy Football Scout Cup qualifying round will be published shortly after November 12 and then weekly, after the completion of each Gameweek, from that point on.

Results from the Members Cup qualifying round will be published shortly after November 26 and then weekly, after the completion of each Gameweek, from that point on.

Do I need to be registered with Fantasy Football Scout?

We ask you to supply a Fantasy Football Scout username so we can feature you, as a member of our community, in any articles associated with the tournament.

Ideally, you will already have a username with us, but this is not essential to enter.

You must, however, supply a username for the purpose of the tournament so you can be identified in articles.

You must not change this username throughout the course of the tournament. Should you do so without permission, should you enter multiple teams, or if your FFS account comes under moderation for any reason, we reserve the right to remove you from a tournament at any stage.

Sitting 4k but now feel very stuck because I have no Arnautovic and no Mendy... thoughts very welcome!

    Ryan
    Robertson, Alonso, TAAArnie
    Maddison, Richarlison, Hazard, Salah
    Wilson, Jimenez, Aguero (c)

    Hart, Bennett, Ward, Wan Bis

    1FT, 1m itb

    Thoughts on these moves:

    A) Jimenez+TAA -> Arnie+Balbuena for a -4
    B) Jimenez+TAA+Richarlison -> Arnie+Mendy+Murphy/Kennedy
    C) Something different?

Isn't a City def (esp Mendy) essential? And isn't Arnie as well??

Many thanks for any help 🙂

    Sam lee on twitter:

De Bruyne's come off and had a chat with Guardiola. City's army of doctors haven't gone with him down the tunnel, so maybe it's not that bad? De Bruyne made the gesture with his hands to show it was an impact injury. Guardiola will give an update soon I imagine

That is the 3 Million pound question. I don't own Salah but he looked so dangerous in the last game, Mane got the same points but Salah looked a lot better.

you’re Paying a premium for the captaincy with Salah. If you feel comfortable captaining Mané over him then he absolutely isn’t worth the extra.

In liverpool's recent 3 "captainable" fixtures prior to Cardiff (BHA GW3, SOU GW6, hud GW9)
      Salah - 8,8,8
      Mane - 3,3,0

As a Mane owner I feel very lucky..
Salah is better in every single way
      He will score more

With that said.. the 3M difference is giving me a lot more options long term

I brought Salah in to my team for the first time just last week to double up with Mane given they had Cardiff last week, Arsenal this week and then Fulham. Will drop one of them after Fulham, who I drop will depend on the next two week performances. I personally think Salah is going to go on a hot streak now. Finally looked to be having fun again last week.

There is a risk but he’s not missed many minutes because of his knee, only because he was ill. Could’ve had a hatrick in previous 2 games

How to fund Deeney to Arnie? Got 2ft and 0.7itb.

    A) Fraser-》
    1) Paterson 2) Murphy 3) Delou
    Or
    B) Mendy or C) Robby -》
    1) Laporte
    2) Rudiger
    3) Maguire

Thinking Fraser but as my only Bournemouth player Im reluctant to sell, as I think they will score the next weeks and especially with early fixture on sat.

    Pat
    Mendy Robby Alonso
    Haz Mane Rich Fraser
    Agu Auba Deeney
    ..Hamer Awb Gunnarsson Bennett

I'm going Arnie. Illness among the Burnley squad. Sterling would be my second choice if I owned him.

Maybe, can't see him starting this plum fixture though. Why did he need to play 80+ minutes in the Crapola Cup?

I agree, he is unlikely to start on Sunday as he played today. Pep probably played him as he needs to get back to match fitness to start in the Prem. He will be among the points soon enough, looked great today.

It was stupid of me to get him back do early. That's just me trying to be clever

Done Mitro to Arnie with 1 of my 2 FT.

Sick of low scores from Mitro, Arnie has great fixtures upcoming. Screw it if it fails this week.

Has Mitrovic done anything positive tonight? Like a shot at goal or at least looked like he knew where the goal was?

1 shot and it was off target

      Frustrating.

      Considering a hit for arnie..

I saw a decent shot from a cutback that was blocked, I would have said it was definitely on target. Other than that though...yeah...not good. But they were playing City, second string or not.

    Vardy(c) too risky?

    Dont own aguero

Other options are Haz and Kane

You could get lucky but it’s a big risk. Maybe stick with Hazard.
