Scoutcast Episode 274 – Swinging

Medium-term planning takes centre stage in our latest Scoutcast as Joe, David, Luke and Az look ahead to a major swing in the fixtures next month.

With the season ticker turning in favour of the likes of Tottenham and Arsenal, and away from Liverpool, the Scoutcast crew are already hatching plans as they look to get one step ahead of the template.

Our community questions section focuses on which heavy hitters to ditch and which to bring in over the coming weeks. This includes a discussion on whether Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling has become “essential”, following his 21-point haul against Southampton at the weekend.

The season ticker comes under further scrutiny as we tackle the community’s questions about West Ham. With only one bad fixture from now until mid-January, it is no wonder the Hammers are attracting interest.

Our review of Gameweek 11 sees Luke’s maverick tendencies prevail, while Az, David and Joe continue to tread water with an unremarkable set of scores.

A very well-known manager who featured prominently on the wrong side of our regular ‘rough with the smooth’ round-up some weeks back returns, this time with a sensationally smooth points haul.

Elsewhere, Gameweek 12’s top differential and clean sheet predictions section features a cheeky chat about two Spurs midfielders.

The crew then finish off this packed one-hour-and-20-minute show by revealing their transfer and captaincy plans this weekend, with Liverpool’s enticing home clash with Fulham firmly on their minds.

Is Mane a must for FUL game?

I have Salah and if i bring in Mane together will cost me -4?

    worth?

Option to switch - Barkley > Mane
(try to keep extra unit for incoming week, and concerns with the midweek loss may make Kloop to rotate the starting)

      Not if you have Salah.

      While I wouldn't say he's a must, that is a transfer I'd do for a -4.

IMO ..juz SALAH... and try to think upgrading other position or player..

No because you can't captain both Salah and Mane. Just Salah captain and you'll be good.

Again, this doesn't make sense 🙂 if you think Mane will haul too, why wouldn't you have him.........

The point is more it feels like a waste to bring in a premium player for a hit that you're not going to captain. I see what you're saying tho, double up looks great this weekm

Captaincy thing is a myth. Like saying you should only have 1 city player as you'll only captain 1...

Well i'm not mean to captain both of them.
Probably a goal feast in LIV-FUL

        Current hold

MF - Fraser Hazard Salah Barkley Richalison

Nice to have, but not a must. Especially for a hit. I'd rather go into the IB with a couple ft and more flexibility to react to injuries. Especially since he didn't really make a case for himself vs Red Star. Monitor Barkley's EL minutes, he could just as easily match Mane's score if he's given the night off in Europe. Everton's back line is unconvincing, especially since they will be without on loan Zouma

      yes except Pat and Digne

would u stick with Pat for GK of the League?
Myself would get another 4.5 for me to do rotation GK

Quaner? Dont think he is good for the 3rd FW. Low return

    0.2 ITB.

    Aguero - Wilson

    Martinez - Ings - Bennett - AWB

when necessary only use the FT.
some out there suffered for -4 per hit

for me, your 1st 11 is look fine.

      Ings > Richarlison?
I cant see EVE would press CHE in the match.

Apologies for the repost but bottomed.

Anyone believe Salah will get rested/ reduced minutes this week?

    Really tempted to use TC.

This GW reminds me of Liverpool v Watford last year when people thought about TC Salah then and didn't.

better dont TC over Salah if uncertain start
do select the VC for your second best.

Well i also hold Salah. Still worries with his rest / reduce time too
and no goal feast from him.

Looking ahead to next week Which combo of 4th/5th mids do you prefer? (Bournemouth rotate well with Wolves).

    Ryan - Button
Mendy - Robertson- Alonso - Doherty - AWB
    Hazard - Mane - Sterling - XXX - XXX
    Aguero - Jimenez - Arnie

    A) Fraser/4.3m
    B) Brooks/Murphy

If Brooks plays in that number 10 role and keeps king out of that sqaud then he is a much better option that Fraser imo. Some of the goalscoring positions that lad Brooks gets into is amazing.
