The penultimate fixture in Gameweek 28 brought us yet another dramatic finale involving Arsenal as Arsene Wenger’s side bundled a winning goal at the death to deny a battling Newcastle.

Statistically, there were some outstanding performances on show which we will break down in a moment, along with our prediction for the Fantasy Premier League bonus points.

Firstly, there was also a dispute involving the assist for the winning goal. The assist for the touch on Theo Walcott’s cross was first awarded to Robin Van Persie and then removed and handed to Aaron Ramsey. It’s unclear whether Ramsey did indeed get a clear touch on the cross before it was blocked by the defender in the box but, interestingly, Opta have also confirmed a Ramsey touch on Walcott’s cross. While this goal and the award of the assist could yet be reviewed by the Press Association, right now it sits with Ramsey – denying Walcott his second assist on a night where he sparkled on the right flank.

Mark Mark created the beast. He's now looking to tame it.

He's changed. Not surprised though. You would love playing football for a guy like Holloway. He makes it enjoyable. Kenny is door faced and boring. The team plays with no spark.

Take it you have them both? Have to play santon in that case. Norwich been weak away from home.

I would say Cahill as Santon has been subbed off at half time last 2 games.

But he could reap the rewards at Sports Direct with the Canaries visiting!!

Just depends in Pardew starts him. I get the impression he is the sort of player that would not be happy being subbed at half time!! 2 games in a row.

Got a fair few problems with this lot .. can't seem to stop the rot at the moment - any ideas welcome to breathe some life into this team. Not averse to taking a hit if you think it's needed.

    Mignolet (bla)

Santon (NOR), Evans (wol), Enrique (qpr)

Nani (wol), Silva (CHE), Bale (STO), Dempsey (SWA)

Ba (NOR), RVP (eve), Suarez (qpr)

Subs: Sorenson, R Taylor, Surman, Taiwo

Would love to ditch Sorenson but have far too many other problems - R Taylor, Taiwo, (Nani?) ...

Tempted by Taiwo --> McAuley this week to make sure I've got 3 defenders playing and then next week, Silva & Ba --> Miyaichi (or £6.0m mid) & Rooney.

I'm guessing you just brought Suarez in last week? Probably give him QPR and Wigan then get rid. Raylor is not doing what he was in the first half of the season so I think you should look elsewhere. Taiwo has to go and Surman plays for Norwich which is no good to any of us.

Silva > Walcott could be a good move also. Silva is not value for money anymore.

Hmmm maybe wait and see how Nani is after the Europa game? If it looks like he won't play at the weekend I'd be tempted to switch to Young for Wolves vs United coverage. Maybe get Hernandez in as a sneaky move for Suarez?

I do not think it will be a draw! remember you have a 4pt advantage. I am up by 11. a CS will do it for you or 90 mins an 2 save points.

Yeah it's weird isn't it, slightly annoying for both of us in this case but in no other. Reina has got more than 2 save points 4 times this season so it's possible he could get that. He's never saved a pen though.

I can see why RVP got wound up, Krul was wasting so much time whenever he had the ball. I also think that RVP was frustrated at the fact that he'd not put more of his chances away though. Heat of the moment, I am sure they both regret it now.

      Repost:

1.30 Very open race, have a little e/w on Midnight Game 14/1

2.05 Sprinter Sacre worthy favourite, try and lump on at evens somewhere. If you fancy an e/w in this take a look at Cue Card.

2.40 Looks to be a shootout between The Package and Quantativeeasing, go for the longer odds out of the two for a value bet.

3.20 Hurricance Fly, again a worthy massive favourite, if you can find evens take it. If you fancy an e/w shot go for Oscar Wells at around 12/1

4.00 Uncle Junior probably has the best shout (around 4/1) I like the look of Maljimar at about 12's for an e/w

4.40 Quevega is nailed on at 1/2, Swincombe Flame is worth an e/w dabble.

      5.15 Trio d'alene is my nap. 11/2.
Main danger to it would be Harpsy Cord at around 16's.

I agree with most of that GO, the only others I have on my radar for little e/w bets are:

        1:30 - Tetlami
        2:40 - Mossley
        4:00 - Sizing Australia
        5:15 - Bless the Wings

          Here, Here!

A treble on Hurricane Fly, Quevega and Sprinter Sacre is still 4/1 with most.

All will be big odds on at the off, and are pretty worthy to be.

The last race is pretty difficult but one that could be a bit of a plot is David Pipe's Battle Group. 1st chase he was a close 2nd to a nice horse who was only just beaten in a grade 2 latest. 2nd chase is one of the funniest unseats you've ever seen (dunno how the jockey didn't get punished for it). And his 3rd chase was 2nd in a 3 horse race.
Ran twice over hurdles since then but never put into the race, he's 5lb below his hurdles mark and back on good ground with 1st time blinkers, looks like he could run a big race. Worth a quid each way at 33/1 anyway. 😉

Sagna is looking a top FPL pick. Put loads of dangerous balls in (thats what she said). Rosicky would have scored if Walcott had any brains or passing abilities too.

All in all my three Arsenal players are looking good picks.

To be honest Arsenal were so strong that Newcastle didn't really venture forwards that much - making it very difficult for Ba to do anything of substance. I am looking to keep him for Norwich myself, as a last chance kind of game.

Tricky. But not yet, imo. Luiz is still above Cahill in the picking order.

Considering RDM benched Mata, Studge, Luiz and Essien and took off ivano early, it means key players were being rested for the Napoli game.

However, Cahill put in a MOM performance (I know it was only Stoke). A few more solid performances (if he does get his chances) and he very well could be.

Thoughts on Ashley Young when Valencia is back? Will Nani and Young share match time on the left or will Nani drop out for a while to fight for his place?

I'd go Tony V, just becasue its a lot better having someone who costs 7.6 on the bench rather then someone who costs 10.
