It’s all change for Fantasy Premier League managers as Gameweek 15 looms large.

This is when the fixtures begin to swing in the direction of Tottenham and Arsenal and that has already had an effect on the captain debate.

We’ve taken a look at both the popular options and those most likely to do well in the midweek action in this latest article.

Captain Poll

Harry Kane (£12.4m) looks poised to go into Gameweek 15 as the runaway Fantasy Football Scout captain poll winner. At the time of writing the Tottenham man had a 42% share of the vote ahead of Southampton’s visit to Wembley on Wednesday night. The last time he was the most popular candidate was when they hosted Cardiff in Gameweek 8 – his owners will be hoping for a better showing than his blank against the Bluebirds.

A long way off in second place is Mohamed Salah (£13.0m) who has a 15% share of the vote. Liverpool travel to Burnley this weekend and are expected to waltz to victory considering the form their hosts are in. The Clarets have allowed more shots than any other side this season which should afford Salah plenty of chances to finally get his second double-figure haul of the campaign.

Raheem Sterling (£11.5m) looks set to finish the poll in third place, as the most popular of the Manchester City options. He is the top-scoring player in all of FPL right now so there’s so surprise that he’s ahead of his colleagues in this vote. Some might have expected him to have garnered more than 9% support, but it appears the voters are aware of his rotation risk. An away match against Watford looks like one in which Sterling can certainly deliver but the fact that he played the full 90 minutes against Bournemouth does reduce his risk of starting this one – and that is reflected in his percentage share here.

Interestingly, Marko Arnautovic (£7.1m) is up next as he faces Cardiff City on Tuesday night. His 5.67% share of the vote is higher than Sergio Aguero (£11.5m) who trails behind the main group with 4.5%. There is considerable doubt over whether he will even start against Watford with his recent muscular injury, but he has also been so poor away from home too.

Despite emerging as a potential alternative to Kane in the minds of some Fantasy managers, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£10.9m) is lagging well behind in the captain poll. Just 3.49% of voters are considering handing him the armband this weekend even though he faces a leaky Manchester United defence at Old Trafford. Callum Wilson (£6.8m), who faces Huddersfield, is ahead of him on 3.81%.

Eden Hazard (£11.0m) and Sadio Mané (£9.9m) are even further behind with just 1.95% and 1.74% backing respectively.

    Fabs
    Alonso Robbo Duffy Laporte
    Sterling Hazard Richarlison
    Arnie Jimenez Kane (c)
    Button - Kenedy - Doherty - Obiang (1.0m itb 0ft)

No hits so far. Are any needed?
So many doubts flying around it is hard to keep track.
The only moves which don't interfere with future plans would perhaps be...
    (A) Robbo/Alonso to TAA
    (B) Same players or Doherty to AWB
    (C) A one week punt on a Bournemouth attacker

Was planning to keep Kane short term, and move him to Auba GW16, funding Martial -> Alli at the same time.
Recent price changes has left me 0.1 short.

I can still do it if Kane rises before Auba. Any hope?

A rare RMT request, considering my wildcard this week.

Pre WC team: Fab (Ryan), Alonso AWB Robbo Boly (Trippier), Richie Brooks Hazard Salah (Camarasa), Arni Auba Wilson

Post WC team: Fab (Button), Alonso Laporte TAA (AWB Stankovic), Richie Brooks Fanderson Salah (Camarasa), Arnie, Auba, Kane.

Considered Salah out for Sterling, but as thats an easy FT downgrade, and Salah playing Burnley tonight, plumped to keep him for now.

    1. BenDavies
      • 12 Years
      7 years, 4 days ago

You should have formatted your teams better so it's easier to read.

That is a very good WC team besides Salah. I think it's risky to continue to have him at that price but if you're confident then go with it. I think going without any City attackers is suicidal. Sterling is better. You are right to keep Salah for this week perhaps, yes. But if Sterling starts against Watford it could be bad for you.

      1. co11ingwood
        • 7 Years
        7 years, 4 days ago

        Noted.

So say Salah to Sterling, where do I spend the £1.5m change? Maybe Camarasa to Schurrle, or Stankovic to Duffy, both for a stronger bench? Maybe duffy over Stankovic is the better swap so I've got a 5 bench option that actually plays.

        1. BenDavies
          • 12 Years
          7 years, 4 days ago

Improve Stankovic, yes. If Fulham look to be better under Ranieri, then Schurrle is a fantastic pick too. Just hold off on thinking about upgrades before you see how Fulham develop. I do think the 1.5m would be better spent overall upgrading your defence.

I think there’s a good chance we’ll be needing our benches anyway this GW, so if you think Bennett to Trent is a good move long term then now is probably a good time to do it.

    Gundogan worth a punt?

For GW 16 am planning on Hazard & Arnie to Auba & any 7mill mf

Already have fraser, richarlison, anderson and none of the other options stand out for me, could go for a cheper option in mf, and upgrade someone like dunk to a 6mill option.

No good sub 7's really. Brooks is about the best (considering value too). So Gundo plus risk is about the best alternative - not for me (blocks better use of city assets) but I like him when he's likely to play!

    Patricio. Begovic.
Robertson. Alonso. Duffy. Wan Bissaka. Bednarek.
    Salah. Hazard. Richarlison. Pereyra. Fraser.
    Aguero. Giroud.

0.1 in the bank. 1 FT. I want to change Pereyra, so who should I take...? Or should I change something different...? Or save...? Thank you very much.

It's becoming nigh on impossible to take a yellow flag seriously these days.

Cramp, colds, niggly toes... literally anything causes a stir.

They should mark the severity out of ten or at least provide a decent quote.

They do. Probability in the increments of 25%. More like a 1-4 for severity.

Which really should be enough, but they're bunging a yellow on anyone for whatever minor reason.
