Members Paddy Power Cup II – Round Five

The 16 fixtures that make up the fifth round of the Members Paddy Power Cup II can be viewed right here. It’s the halfway stage of the competition, and with the two favourites eliminated in round four, it’s anybody’s to win at this stage.

We’ve now only got two Fantasy managers currently residing in the top 1000 overall, and they are only there by the skin of their teeth. Round three’s top-scorer, Bob Fossil, is now the man to beat sitting 941st in the world. He’s been drawn against 3,578th Fuzzy Dunlop. Hot on Bob’s heels is 958th Daveclark85, who has also been been dealt a tough hand against 3,752nd overall howie_c.

At the other end of the spectrum, the lowest-ranked Fantasy manager in the tournament is Zizo, who sits 293,726th in the world – which itself isn’t too bad bad this season (or so I keep telling myself). Handed the ‘most favourable’ fixture is The Lord (3,352nd).

All fixtures will be played over Gameweek 29. Good luck to all.

I think the captain decision this week should be based on ‘when do I want to feel good?’ – is it Saturday (Dempsey)? Sunday (Rooney)? Or midweek (Bale / RVP)? Or, if you’re one for a midweek moan, how about Suarez?

    Oh, I will anyway. I day no don't do it. For a start simpson has a far better fixture. Also you are banking on a whole lot of players not moving in price and the rest of your team not getting any injuries.
    Also I see no logic in ditching skrtl when liverpool's defence is miserly and they have great fixtures .

  I did think about vc Young, but with all this uncertainty surrounding the midfield selection I've decided Rooney C and someone nailed on as a starter for vc as back-up should I require it. I really can't see Rooney not playing this weekend though, just can't.
